FIIIIINNNNEEEEE, I'll tag him. Hey Dr. Matthews , do you have any tips on writing songs/poems?
Sorry guys...Im I trying to get back into the swing of things, but I am doing some serious school stuff... Anywho...yes, firstly, I would start off with writing descriptive poems about what you see, I always like to have some sort of rhyme in my poems, but if there's no rhyme, try to make sure there's rhythm. Which is really hard for me. If you enjoy doing that, and you get good at it, then you can start relating feelings to things you see, and, well, it'll just sort of mesh. Poetry is all about visualization in the words...so much so that you can feel it... like you feel the rain, or the bark on a tree. You can also just invent a story in your head...think of an imaginitive or historical event that you want too convey and then write your story down, and figure out how to change the structure and words to make it have rhythm and rhyme. Write about things you strongly connect with, because believe it or not, they will feel the distance through the writing. If you feel it, they'll feel it, if you don't feel it, they won't feel it.
Don't give up if you find it hard to come up with an idea...y yo will have those lulls...but one day...they the all just come back.

Is that a hint of green, peeking through the sod? It's been so long since I've seen such fresh color. The color brown is finally pierced, by hint of something else! What a blessing this is, it must have come from God. For that's a hint of green I see, the first in so long… The first hint of life I have seen, in such a stretch of time. After all these disasters have taken it all away, The trees, the birds, and the song of kids in the park. The bees, the grass, and all they left was the sod… But now I see this hint of green, peeking through the foul earth. And I think that maybe the earth is not so foul. After all, it can still put out one hint of green, If not for but a moment's time! I never saw the earth the way it used to be, But I can imagine now with this mere blade of green. This green that peeks up through the sod, Let's me see the possibility of life anew on this God forsaken ground. But maybe it's not so God forsaken yet. After all...there is a hint of life, of green! Amidst the dullness of all the brown.
This is a poem of life after an apocalypse, yall may not know it, but I just love apocalypse ideas and lore and fan stuff...so this is what I wrote along those lines.
