If you go to the Wu-Cru section of the Lego Ninjago site you will find creations there... Wait, that's gone too. Is Lego Club Magazine still around? Or is that gone as well? It also appears lego is getting geared more towards children, the only themes for older people seem to be Technic, Architecture and Creator Expert... There is still a Technic gallery as of posting but I believe that will be gone soon. It seems Lego club has been replaced by Lego Life too. The webgames aren't as good as before. If you could play a mobile version of a lego game on the lego.com site; that would be awesome! So yes, I agree the lego.com site is going downhill.
Now it's called Lego Life Magazine. Lego is really messing up.
As we all know, the LMBs we all know and love is gone. There will be no looking at who got the top likes of the day anymore Also, the galleries, as of recent, have also shut down. This brings me to my question, OBVIOUSLY the Lego Site could be, going down hill (OPINIONS ARE SUBJECTIVE) but I want to know, why? And what does this mean for the future of the Lego site? Will it keep collapsing until the only thing that remains is the online store? Finally, do making these decisions benefit or harm the site in any possible way?
If you ask me, I'm not very educated on the subject, but I can predict why it happened and what is to come (i may be wrong though, its up to you to decide)
I believe the Lego company has decided to lay off staff members. As a result the LMBs were led to closure because the loss in staff members, the galleries soon followed and I believe that the galleries, throughout this year and the next, will be closing, also as a result.
Now, I also believe the Lego company saw profit in making a mobile app, whether it be extra advertising or whatever, the LMBs obviously weren't cutting it and they knew nobody wanted to join an app (did you really want to join lego life when it was released? lets be real here) so the LMBs were thrown out of the picture.
Now, this is my interpretation and I wanna know what you think, what do you predict happened and why?
Let's be real? I actually did anticipate Lego Life upon its release. My major prediction would be a huge assortment of ways to change my avatar for the better. It was a disappointment.
I heartily agree with Jonmbost - modern children are more interested in video games and movies. They don't want to waste time using their imagination, so Lego has drastically less appeal. (I also blame the school system. They spend the whole day filling their minds with mostly useless information, by the time the come back home, they either don't have time for it, or their minds are so burned out the only thing they can focus on is video games.) Toys themselves are beginning to die in general; most kids would rather buy from Steam than from the Lego Store. It's pretty sad. As a result, Lego can no longer pay for services such as the Galleries and MBs, so they just shut 'er down. Quite unfortunate.
Users do something in your local area. Do something to get the kids back in the physical world. Wherever you are keep on fighting, tell them about the old generation how much fun we had. None of this robot nonsense. Do it now, for the next generation!!!
Hm. Interesting. I don't have any mobile devices (and my family doesn't have any Apple devices) so that probably wouldn't work for me.
You can also get the App on Amazon Kindle as well. I believe it works on Android, iOS and Amazon... But for a more advanced person LEGO Mindstorms would be better. Ashame it is expensive though...

This Amazon Kindle thing I do not have.
Then I would advise to stick other types of Robotics... Mindstorms comes to mind...
To be completely honest, LEGO as a company is going downhill.
In what way?
I just think that the quality of everything LEGO is getting worse. The website, books, movies, and of course, the toys (IMO) aren't as good as they used to be. It may be different elsewhere, but where I live, LEGO isn't as popular among younger kids as it used to be.

This MINDSTORMS thing looks too expensive.
I've been hands on with many robotics kits, including MINDSTORMS. The only thing that makes it worth the money is the quality. It's no different to robotic kits that are, say, 10x cheaper, in terms of enjoyment, etc.
