“Luck? Or divine intervention?” She shakes her head. “Whatever the case, you were unconscious for four days. I’m sorry we had to discard your clothes…you were losing warmth fast and—” “Lillian.” She finally looks up. “Thank you.”
She dips her head and gives a weary, but genuine, smile. Their conversation ceases, and both decide to admire the limited scenery outside the dining room window.
Come. I want to show you what I’ve found…
“Would you look at that? In the little time you were asleep, spring has come,” Mrs. Wesley muses. “Not that it means much here in Birchwood. It’s just less snow, more mud…little drizzles.” A pause, then she turns toward him. “Now that you’ve recovered, what will you do?”
Spring? It means new beginnings. The seasons have begun anew, and even if their significance is diminished by the ceaseless snow, the word sparks a feeling of refreshment and courage in him. “My statement still stands,” he answers. “I will still pay you back, and I will try to find a place of my own. But in the meantime…” The stranger gives an embarrassed grin. “Would you mind having another under your roof?”
The mother gestures to the townhouse with open arms. “The couches are yours! And—if you’d like—I can introduce you to the landlord. There’s plenty of apartments and townhouses around, and you can still visit us from time to time.”
…Our new home…
“Thank you, again.” He gathers his plates and stands. “I’ll…do my part as well. I’ll talk to Théo. Someone needs to tell him that isolating himself is not healthy.” “…Of course…” She sounds distant.

“…One day, I promise. We will find your family.”
“What time is it, Lillian?” “Half past ten,” she quietly replies, only to jolt up from her seat once she senses his rapid movements. “Why, you’re going somewhere already?! You just recovered—”
“The quicker I settle down, the faster I’ll be able to start on repaying the debt!” A new start, he quietly thinks to himself as he fingers the stolen hoodie, left untouched in its plastic covering. The first step will be to return this and erase his criminal record, for good. “Now,” he heads to the doorway without delay, paying no attention to her protests. “Where can I find the landlord and this ‘Akira’?”
But I’ve already found them.
The end of Chapter 5.
Sorry about the disappearance---I realized I needed a mental break and the past two weeks were pretty stressful for various reasons. I'll probably catch up throughout the next few weeks or so, but I'll take it slow and easy. ^-^ Chapter 6 is in the works, and so are the character drawings from the vote if I can figure out how to color >:c They're bound to come around soon. Also...Happy Chinese New Year! Now 2019 feels real. o-o

Ohh, I'm sorry to hear you've been dealing with stress recently. I hope everything's all right. ó,o It's good to have you back!
YEET! Ooh-boy, I'm looking forward to both Chapter 6 and the character drawings! ^v^ Happy Chinese New Year to you, too! ^-^
(and I'm still trying to figure out what these bits and pieces of attachments you've been adding mean.. >.> I've only just realized how I can look at them without having to squint uselessly xD)

And then it gets just a little bit cold again and the water freezes to ice and then some late snow falls and covers it up and then everywhere outside becomes a danger zone cuz you could slip at anytime. Sorry.

No worries, I'm glad some people know how to take a break even if I don't.
Your story part CONtinue to CONfuse and intrigue me.
A true legend. xD I meant I'm jealous of yours but I guess I ended up with an ego boost. *+1 confidence*
Nice new avatar! Is it because of the February season?
Welcome back, BTW. xD I knew what you meant.
Thanks! Yeah, I figured I might as well acknowledge it, and one of my favorite moments in SoG might as well do it.
Thanks! It's good to be back. c: xD So did I. We're in agreement. Harumi is a fascinating character. Props to Lloyd for actually figuring out who she was though. o.o

A family can be a sad boi, his deranged mother, and a stranger who survived an impossible fall.
Yeah. Things are getting better now so I'll continue living with hope. ^)^ Me too! Man, they've came a loooong way since 2017...Thank you! ^o^
(attachments? Hmm....well I guess we'll find out, won't we? (; Tigress what a legend xD)
