I think Lego Dimensions is pretty much underrated as a retired theme. It brought us lots of cool licenses and minifigures, that Lego would never make a whole theme of.
I enjoyed LEGO Dimensions when I was able to play it, and I bought one of the character packs. However, the toys to life genre has not aged well, I don't think; I lost access to that huge "portal" long ago, and ever since, LEGO Dimensions has been like a sore thumb amongst my other Wii U games on the shelf, unable to be played. I wish it'd had some kind of "emergency no-portal play mode" so it could still be played without the physical component.

I was never able to play the game, because I don't own any console needed, but I bought some very discounted packs (and maybe will buy some more).
