The Americans celebrate it to be thanks for the Indians , and anything we are thankful for, it originated when the Indians (native Americans) taught us how to plant corn and what we needed to know to survive. And we had a feast to celebrate so now in modern times we celebrate with a feast that normally includes turkey, and pumpkin pie and stuff like that. Some families watch football which ... Is a sport played in the US Also there is a parade (the morning of thanksgiving) in New York City. Normally families get together. If any that made any sense at all .

It's just about being thankful for what you have. I don't think making a theme for Thanksgiving is "making you celebrate" it.
And that's just very extreme. I think that there is lots more about Halloween to not like than Thanksgiving.

The Halloween theme was unchangeable. I may not like Halloween, but I dealt with it as it is a worldwide thing. Thanksgiving isn’t. And whose to say that it won’t be unchangeable?
It’s called protest. Every humans right. And while Halloween isn’t my favourite holiday, it is unique. Thanksgiving is a rip off of Christmas.
Thanksgiving is nothing like Christmas, except for the fact that both are celebrated with family gatherings. Otherwise, you might as well compare Halloween to Valentine's Day.
