I haven't seen it either. But I want to! (Can't remember if I asked you this XD) Do you have a favourite movie?
That's fair. (Neither can I XD) Uuuuuuhmm... Good question. I like a lot of movies. Growing up I would hyperfixate on my latest fandoms, after watching a film, because I rarely watched movies until after they released. I'd spend weeks scouring wikis and official materials. Since then I've ammassed quite a few. I'll say How to Train Your Dragon now, but you'll get a different answer if you ask again and we both remember.
…okay. *shrug* XD Plez to da chez. With a little fondant froggy on top. :3
Your plez has been granted. *waves sparkly wand for no apparent reason*
"Lord Tigress" -- or, Lord Tigris, as it was originally spelled the Latin way, but my memory's awful -- was originally a villain character I had written when I was younger; an evil queen with magic powers who kept two large and fierce tigers as pets. Apparently I didn't know what the "lord" title meant at the time, but I thought it sounded cooler than "queen", so that's why she sounds like a nobleman instead of a tyrant queen. I liked the character and the name so much, I used her name again for a series of short films we made for fun later. I wanted something quirky for a username on the Lego Message Boards, and I thought about my favorite villain -- thus I decided to name myself after her. I've used that name for everywhere in the internet else since then, because I find that I like being Tigress very much. :3
Ta-daaa.
I passed up commenting on this the first time cause I didn't want to necropost, but then I realized that's basically what I do on here anyway so I'll say it: You could have been LadyEuphrates. Check this out; I'm a strong proponant on nominative determinism (not just because I sound smart saying it, but because I think there's some truth to it). It's a theory said to have been first introduced by Shakespeare, which suggests that a person's name has some influence over what they do with their life; careers, interests, mannerisms, and so on. "Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet?" Well, yes, but supposing we called them 'pargles,' we might think of their thorns and the cost of carelessly picking one first rather than, say, dangerous beauty. I think this applys to all names we give ourselves. Granted, you're not online a lot now, but you used to be, so bear with me. When you hang out with someone enough you slowly start mistaking their traits for your own, right? Well it's the same with names, especially online, cause you read it very often cause it's the name above all your comments. And we have associations in our mind with different words and combinations of words conjuring up different images in our minds. So here you are, you like this villainess, the best you've written up to this point, she represents all the rebellion you can't or won't or wouldn't dare voice (I think a lot of writers do this to some degree, or their antagonist represents an injustice or something); she's powerful, she can help herself; she's feared, no one questions her judgement; She's proud and she's angry, dealing out her wrath on those that think themselves better than she. She is in all rights a tyrant. And like all tyrants, she's insecure in her influence, deep down or otherwise. Idealy it's an insecurity mirrored in the protaganist's journey. While your protag learned that true power was kindness, humility, patience, forgiveness, and grew stronger because of these lessons, the ice Lord Tigris tread was thinning. But that's a little beside the point. So why LadyEuphrates? Simply because it feels like the opposite, and from what little I know of you, I'd say the opposite is more authentic to who you are now -- unless you're just a spectacular actress, in which case standing ovation, get this woman an oscar (I think that's the acting award). And, not to say you'd make a bad actress, again, I barely know you, but I doubt that's the case.XP But that's just my two cents, or rambling or whatever. Also I wouldn't even worry about misusing "Lord," they do it all the time in anime, or at least in the subtitles.
