As you will no doubt have noticed, people think we need change. We do. But not the way they think. We do not need money. We do not need complex system that violate rules and take the fun out of Roleplaying.
We need to go back to the roots of this Roleplay. Remember back on the MBs? Remember all the old Jedi and Sith? Leia Tanura, Triskal; Steve Skywalker. Luke Bridger, Sky, Dexter. Ninion, Vazek, Foel and Justix. Remember them? What would they think of this? Would they have us descend into anarchy?
No, Ladies and Gentlemen, no, they would not. They would have us stand strong and remember what things used to be like. While there is breath in our bodies, and blood in our veins, we should stand together. If it breaks our backs, we should restore the Roleplay to its former glory.
Now that I've stated what we should do, allow me to clarify how we should do it.
First of all, we need to make things look good. One of the greatest things we can do is use colour and fonts. It adds texture to the Roleplay, and makes it more enjoyable to read. If you're a plain text person, that is fine. But please, consider using one. Would you not say that this post is easier to read that it would be if it was plain? Use colours, fonts, bold and italics! Underline things, and vary the size! It shows you care about the Roleplay, and makes things interesting. You can also use speech marks. On the MBs, many people did this, and it was so much more fun to read!
Secondly, details. Describe, don't state. When you enter a topic, say how you arrived. Say what you're wearing. Don't say you have a lightsaber. What colour is the blade? What is the hilt made of? Do not say you have a blaster; what model is it? If you a droid, what colour is is painted? What model is it? What is it called? Is the paint new or scratched? Metallic or dull?
This showcases the points I've been making so far:
*Walks in, followed by droid, and draws lightsaber*
Hi
Knight Vladimir Astrodole strides into the arena, wearing traditional Jedi robes. His short black hair is combed to the left, and his eyes gleam in the Sun. He is followed by his loyal astromech companion, R4-S7. Arfour's paint is scarlet, and is reflected onto every surface he passes. Vladimir draws a Cortosis hilt, and ignites an azure lightsaber blade.
"Greetings. How are you today?"
Which or those suggests that the user in a good person committed to their beloved Roleplay? The second one, of course.
My third point is also important. Do not just treat Roleplay like a game. Imagine it is real. When you make posts, make good ones. Have long conversations, make Roleplays about decorating your bedroom in the Jedi Temple, or helping Stormtroopers train in the Sith Palace. Let the Roleplay world come alive around you.
My fourth point in this: Develop. Write detailed backstories for your character. Write detailed Roleplays with other users about how your characters interact. Your character is not just a character. They are a person. Think about them. What would they do in certain situations? Do they have any enemies who could be used in plots? It might help to write stories about them, or it might not. Get to know your character, and everybody else's. It will improve the Roleplay.
Lastly, have fun. This is not a game; it is Roleplay. You are not here to win; you are here to enjoy yourself. Do so. If you are not having fun, you should not be here. Please, have fun. This is the most important.
Well, I have spoken. Please take my advice on boards, and use ti to improve the Roleplay, the old-fashioned way.
Thank you.

*inhales sharply then exhales* *dwells on this post for second* *steps out of the room and muffled shouts of exuberant joy can be heard* *comes back a little calmer* THANK YOU!!! THIS HAS NEEDED TO HAVE BEEN SAID FOR SOO LONG!!! *ahem* Sorry about my brashness, but Shamrock that was...(wow, what to say that wouldn't be cringey, awkward, or inappropriate for the moment?)...the best speech you have possibly made so far. (I almost want to call you an angel but I wouldn't want to embarrass you or nothing.) I've been making an effort to do everything you just spoke of for two years now and the reason I feel so burnt out is almost no one else does the same thing. This rp is my passion and I'd like to rekindle it. Thank you. [a] (#Shamrockforadminforever)

That is...very kind of you, Emy. I very much hope everyone (myself included) will put a lot of effort into doing this, and rekindle the RP.

Yes, I wish there was. I'll have a look and see if there is a way, but I don't think there is.
Not many, but most people can describe more than they do.

*Alderamin turns to greet him, his grey cloak billowing out behind him as it is caught by the wind. He smiles, brushing his pale brown hair out of his eyes*
also need new people. Just saying. But i like the idea.
Yes, we do.
I could try and get some of my friends to join. But they are all in highschool meaning... Busy all the time. But I'll try! if of coarse you think it would be okay , Lord Sham De La Rock.

I think there is on mobile, but I can`t be sure.
I desribe more with a picture, then with words. (I have trouble putting thoughts into words sometimes IRL) Like my lightsaber. As far as appearance,I do about half of the time.

Welcome back, old friend. We are close to it.
*Bron shakes his head, disturbed by the news he has heard*
So then be it. In my time of recollection, I have ultimately found some sort of truth. We grow. We age. We mature. We develop new skills and mentalities. Ultimately, we will find another path to walk. We have done all we can to preserve these boards. But with the younger one's growing and leaving the site, with a lack of new users, we will die. Time will take this place. We can stay as long as we please, but we will find other paths.
