OOC: Now that's a certified "royal dynasty" moment.
IC: Drakonus: "I'm not interested in wiping any species off the face of the map..."
The Dragon King surprisingly kneels down to be on the same level as her again.
Drakonus: "It is, in fact, that cycle of wars and destruction that I will end. I created this land to be a perfect embodiment of nature; predators and prey, the circle of life, abundant resources; the animals living simply to reproduce and pass on their DNA, not plagued by any complex or saddening thoughts. Chi has ruined this, by forcing unto all of you the same thing my species always suffered from: sapience. It is a curse that brings about the horrors of civilization: war, inequality, pointless politics, backstabbing, pollution, planets sucked dry of their resources, as if their own inhabitants had become parasites. I've seen it happen time and time again, and so I wanted a world free from it. Thus, I created Chima. I won't allow Chima and its people to continue down this destructive path."
He rises and crosses his arms.
Drakonus: "Though you alien species aren't my creations, I will save you as well. My plan is to reclaim my powers as a God, and use them to obliterate all the chi, and to revert all life in Chima back to its natural state. I'll even remove myself of my own sapience, to finally bring this cycle to an end. But... to do that, I will have to first take care of those Snow Leopards and their ice chi. You're right to be afraid of ice chi. As if regular chi wasn't unnatural enough, ice chi was created for the express purpose of fighting me, the God of this world!"
Drakonus motions for one of the guards to hand him an orb of fire chi.
Drakonus: "Here, we shall see if you're genuinely devoted to my cause after hearing the full details of it. This, while another type of chi, is a necessary evil to combat the Snow Leopards. A Holy Fire that will expose and fight back against the lying demons who claim to be for the cause of 'freedom.' Ha! A farce. I will bring true freedom back to this world. Sapience and civilization are chains."
I've been somewhat conflicted on what to do next. I know what direction I want to go in, with the introduction of certain characters, but I want there to be at least a few more generic fire vs ice battles before I get to that. However, I don't want those battles to feel forced, so I'll say that Reshizula's mission and the ice chi are the apparent reasons Drakonus is going to attack the north now.
IC: The Dragon King puts the orb of fire chi on the ground before Flyzeinab, then flies to the Demiurge to ready his forces.
Drakonus: "If you are truly 100% loyal to our cause of removing sapience from the world and restoring Chima to its natural state, then the fire chi will 'know', and will allow you to touch and use it. Otherwise, if there is even a hint of doubt or disagreement in the cause within your mind, it will burn you at the touch. Consider this carefully. Anyhow, I will now begin the assault on the north. We must ensure that my daughter finds her 'siblings', and we must also blockade, or bomb, the Snow Leopards' castle to prevent them from distributing ice chi to any more tribes."
Drakonus flies into the Demiurge, and from the bridge of his command ship, orders the army to begin its charge north. Many Dragons remain here to defend Cavora, but most fly (or run in the Fafnir mechs) north, along with the Demiurge, soaring above all.
-Flyzeinab saw as the group left, some Dragon guards looking over Flyzeinab with intrigue, wondering if this pokemon was going to join their cause, despite her not being of this realm... she was an unnatural addtion to Chima, along with her people and some similar species.-
"...Dang... guy got me really thinking about this... my brother and i know how enhanced we are from the Chi... i don't think Drakonus understands how a sentience/sapience of a pokemon works... as me and my brother remember our trainers from our world, as they are still fresh in our minds, likely to never be forgotten... wonder if other pokemon here in Chima have the same thing we have... some of us yearn to go back to our world... yet, how do we even GET back...?"
-she'd thunk for a sec before eyeing the orb of fire chi, she feels like she herself couldn't use it, but maybe her brother can-
"Gotta find a way to transport this orb to my brother without it harming me... maybeeee... something of an insulator might help thanks to a type advantage~..." -she'd said, soon quickly swatting dirt and sand of Cavora over the orb, effectively burying it to keep it's burning flame away from her skin before forcing it into the ground with a flygon's innate power of earth-bending thanks to chi evolution- "I may not have the same ideals as Draknonus, but i think my brother may benefit from it... reguardless. I don't want to leave Chima at all... i like it here. I dunno how else my brother may think of it... he may want to go back to his trainer after this is all over!" -she'd soon excavate the ground around the buried orb and soon pick it up as a perfect sphere of dirt/sand with it's glowing core being the orb of fire chi, effectively a mini earth in her hands minus the water-
-she'd get up and hold the warm dirt/sand ball in her hands and look up at the dragon guards, they looked confused at how she was doing this given she hadn't explained what her "typing" meant to them and what it could do, and Flyzeinab smirked with semi-sarcastic remark- "I think your leader and my timid brother may get along Juuuuuust fine~..." -she'd giggled and winked to the confused Dragons before flying off, sand fire-chi-orb-holder in hand, in the pursuit of the Demiurge, but not chasing it, following it to guide her to where she needs to be, presumably if she knew where her brother was exactly... he flew up north, just unknowing of where specifically in that north is...-
"I gotta find my brother, and Fast...! I cannot let him go through those Ice Trials, he'll very well die doing them! I don't care about this sapience/sentience stuff at all now that i think about it! We Pokemon were never effected memory-wise, we've kept our own form of sapience, as we understand a human's feelings like our own as they take care of us! i just want to keep my brother safe from harm, and then... we'll protect our tribe from the dragons yet again!"

OOC: As long as they're separated from those humans and their immediate concerns consisted entirely of hunting prey and surviving, Drakonus would be happy.
IC: The Dragons approach the north, flying above Othaurus' group. The octoling looks overhead at the Demiurge and the airborne army.
Othaurus: "Good timing, Drakonus. Hopefully this'll prevent Reshizula's overconfidence from sabotaging this operation."
He looks to see if she's already ran or flown into the Snow Leopard guards' field of view.

Snow Leopards standing above the Glacial Pass, atop the ice wall, see her coming across the open plain from miles away with binoculars.
Snow Leopard Commander: "Open fire."
Some of the turrets swivel to focus on the charging Reshizula, locking their sites on her and beginning their rapid-fire laser barrage, as the other turrets open fire on the Demiurge and Othaurus' force of Fafnirs on the ground, which have now come out of cover to dash towards Reshizula.
OOC: He was talking about their technology in the snow. =P
IC: "We've never made preparations to our ships, weapons, and shields to resist the freezing air, ice, and snow. The best we have are guesses unless we were to confer with the snow leopards or the golden eagles. Goggles and Aerstryke can work with guesses, but there's a high chance of failure if they cannot practice trial and error."
(OOC: Ah, i sorta answered that. ) OWlina: -she'd nod and look slightly worried- "Well, im guessing we could send some sort of scouting party out to get the gist for Goggle's and Aerstryke's trial and error? Im hoping there won't be any critical failures with our main airship."
The "prisoner" among the group clears his throat and speaks up.
Saleem: "Your Highness, I don't believe the climate of the Ice Mountains will be too damaging to us. Many have gone there with simply a couple layers of clothing, and were fine, such as the Turtles back before the beginning of the last war."
The yellow snake gestures to the parked aircraft with his tail (if he's still handcuffed; I don't remember).
Saleem: "If you parked your vehicles on the land south of the Glacial Pass, we'd have to go on foot and tail from there, but the aircraft wouldn't be in any danger of freezing up, at least."

Drakonus: "Predictable. Demiurge, open fire on the Snow Leopards' turrets! Deploy the Fafnirs to cover Othaurus and Reshizula."
As the flying warship fires back, two huge doors on its underside open. Ten more of the gleaming silver Fafnir mechs drop out, making their presence known with distorted mechanical roars even before they hit the ground running, dashing toward Othaurus and Reshizula's group.

Snow Leopard speedorz and tanks zoom out from both the Snow Leopards' territory and the meeting place, engaging the Fafnirs in battle just as the ten newly arrived mechs catch up to and surround Othaurus and Reshizula's group; the battle has begun in full force.
At this point, maybe I should just post a summary of my ideas for where this RP would've gone, and how the Fire vs Ice "arc" would've ended.
(OOC: I know, we need more people to be in the roleplays. I was hoping to have a cool duel between Leonardo and Flygarra, orchestrated by Kyuru to let Flygarra fight his fear of ice directly, and Flyzeinab shows up to save Flygarra from freezing his tail off, give him fire chi, and the Dragons gain an unwilling ally in the Flygons and make their tribe an accidental enemy of the Ice Allies. I've been dreaming of that vividly at some point in the past few months.)

Indeed. I'll need a summary of the goings in the fanon version of Chima, and I shall begin to think up a few ideas. Though, maybe we might incorporate a few of the unsued plotlines found in the official Legends of Chima concept art. For example, the row of statues representing each tribe holding glowing weapons and the mysterious eclipse and animal themed constellations, and armor pieces that could transform the one who wore it into a particular animal.
In fact, perhaps a rogue may be using such a device to frame certain characters in order to cause trouble as an excuse to place themselves in a heroic light, then one character who exposes their deceit escapes punishment as all of Chima feel themselves indebted to the deciver for saving them from war and countless deaths. Then this outcast character may have diciples who believe the truth secretly and who inhabit important seats within Chima's governments as well as who are merely the everyday citizen. The main conflict may come from exposing who is who, where everyone's loyaltly lies, including those playing up both sides. Perhaps even a group of characters might seek out the Outcast, on their own terms or to make it even more interesting on the orders of the deciver who falsely claims they want to show mercy to the Outcast by brining them home when in reality it is to destroy them.

I am merely throwing some ideas around. : )
Cool ideas! I'd still like to do the Fire vs Ice/alignments story arc, which is basically the culmination of all my Chima stories and their themes (outside of the other RP) and will also reveal the origin of this Chima. But those ideas could be the next story arc.
The Fanon RP had initially kicked off with a war between the Turtles and Piranhas (essentially the Lion and Crocodile equivalents), ending with them and their allies forming an uneasy truce against a new threat, the Dragons. Though the Turtle Tribe mirrors the Lion Tribe in its narrative role, Mount Cavora itself is neutral in this RP, not claimed as territory by any one tribe (until the Dragons recently took it over). There are also Squid and Octopus tribes heavily inspired by the Inklings and Octolings from the Splatoon games, and Pokemon tribes who'd come to Chima in a primitive state through dimensional portals, before drinking chi. (Yes, this RP is pretty much a crossover between Chima and Nintendo. ) Those sporadic dimensional portals have been investigated by the other tribes, and are/will be an important plot point.
The current war in this RP is a Fire vs Ice conflict like in the TV series, but with the twist of the fire side being the antagonists and the ice side being the defenders; the Snow Leopards can create ice chi, granting other Chimians ice armor and the ability to more effectively fight the Dragons. Dragon King Drakonus' philosophy promotes primitivism, as he wants to annihilate the chi and revert everyone back into their "natural" states; he and his followers have become dissillusioned with humanoid sapience on a fundamental level, since it leads to civilization, which in turn leads to ruin. The Dragons aren't necessarily evil, but their goal is basically an antithesis to the entire concept of Chima. SL King Leonardo stands opposed to Drakonus, promoting free will and sapience, and wanting to preserve Chima's status quo. A mysterious third faction has been hinted at, perhaps representing an opposite extreme to Drakonus' stance.
The tribes and their leaders (only those that have been active in the last year):
Ice/Freedom alignment:
Snow Leopards - Led by Leonardo/The J
Ice-Type Pokemon (more of a small group than a tribe) - Led by Kyuru/Thefirstdecade
Turtles - Led by Tyron/The J
Piranhas - Led by Ppyrr/Batonmaster500 (inactive)
Golden Eagles - Led by FelipeDutra (inactive; essentially absorbed into the Turtle Tribe until/unless someone wants to lead them)
Fire/Primitivism alignment:
Dragons - Led by Drakonus/The J
Fire-Type Pokemon (sub-faction of the Dragons) - Led by Reshizula/Thefirstdecade
Flygons - Led by Flygarra/Thefirstdecade
Desert Tribes:
Snakes - Led by Sa'Qhala/Thefirstdecade
Desert Owls - Led by Owlina/Thefirstdecade
FLA (rogue Flygon faction) - Led by Thefirstdecade
Neutral:
Aggrons - Led by Agrakai/Thefirstdecade
Squids - Led by Batonmaster500 (inactive as a tribe, but RPers have several active squid characters)
Octopuses - Led by Zaneandelsa (same case as the Squids)
