{Jammers on The J } Make in IC post on the RP for when Wingman leaves Paradigm. I have ideas for a thing that can happen, and maybe even awake the dragons in the rp for when it's completed. I'd wait until the second book of the trilogy is done to complete the action I start after Wingman leaves Paradigm though. Also, just curious, are you waiting until you complete the turtle-piranha war to post more chapters of Quest?
{JAMMERS on Batonmaster } I’d been focusing on The Last Reincarnations in order to finish it by the Eternal Brick Awards, but those didn’t happen this year, so I’ll get back to writing Quest, sorry about that.
...Uh, funny you should mention that about the dragons...
Owlina: "Wh-what should we do now?! W-we can't free our desert allies all by ourselves. Who should we call upon for help now?!"
IC: "Are they captured? To be freed?"
Meanwhile, the Flygon helicopters outside of the city make it above the walls.
Saleem: “Good, many of this city’s turrets are still intact. Now, we move the eternal chi to the turrets, and they’ll have an infinite amount of energy to fire back at the Owls. They’ll have no choice but to concede or retreat.”
No sooner has Saleem said the last word, when beams of orange light begin erupting from the helicopters. Those helicopters drop from the sky like flies, falling and exploding in the city, to the horror of both the snake citizens below, and Saleem.
Fulcrum: “Wha— Are you doing this, Saleem?”
Saleem: “Of course not! I’m— I’m losing control of the zombies! I— I can’t feel them in my mind anymore. It’s like they’re fizzling away!”
Fulcrum: “Wait, look at the beams!”
In each orange beam of light, a flygon zombie can be seen, pulled out of the cockpit of the helicopter it was in, now more immaterial than physical. One after another, beams of light shoot up from the helicopters, and the pilotless aircraft fall, like a gradual meteor shower. Terrified snakes in the city scramble in the wake of these sudden crashes. The city is in flames. Fulcrum jumps to the controls of the helicopter he and Saleem are in as their zombie pilot is “beamed”, narrowly avoiding a crash. Saleem looks down at the destruction.
Saleem: “What.... What is this?? What happened?!?!”
IC: Turtle General: “The Kangaroos? Your timing is... pretty good. Don’t touch the ice chi; you’ll freeze if you do. Surround the piranha squad here; create a barrier of people and vehicles to trap these piranhas, while we freeze them. It looks like the Duchess herself is leading this squad, based on how that female piranha is dressed. Assuming she isn’t a decoy, we can’t pass up on this opportunity to capture such a high-ranking piranha.”
Meanwhile, Tyron and his squad move out from their crashed helicopter, freezing every on-foot piranha that gets in their way, but the piranha fang ripper tanks are making it hard to get to Pirex, forcing Tyron and his turtles into cover as the small, speedy tanks blast and slash at them. The Piranha King watches this through a telescope as he commands his army.
OOC: I assume Ppyrr is still disguised as a regular piranha soldier, batonmaster500 ?
Tyron and his squad get close to Pirex’s amphibious land and sea tank/flagship, but keep having to pull back to dodge the blades of the fang ripper tanks.
Pirex: “Heh-heh-hah-hah-hah-hah-haaaah!!! The old bag of bones really thinks he’ll be able to capture ME, like he did Piratox?! All while trying to block my people from taking the Ice Trials, a legal right of any species, regardless of allegiance... And he thinks he’s the righteous one here?! HAH! Imagine being that deluded!! The only reason those Snow Leopards aren’t charging down here and freezing the Turtles for this offense, is because you’re just barely outside of their territory!”
Tyron: “This may not seem fair, but I can’t let you obtain ice chi, Pirex. War isn’t fair, after all, and you were the ones who initiated this war. Your attempted destruction of my people cannot continue.”
The zombie’s red cape billows as he whirls on his command platform to face Tyron.
Pirex: “I think you have it backwards, Your Highness. YOU were the ones who destroyed our city, and forced us into exile twenty years ago.”
Tyron: “You gave us no other choice.”
Pirex: “But don’t you see, Tyron? Now there is another choice; an alternative, as I’ve realized. If both sides had ice chi, we could end the war with no more casualties. You Turtles will pay for what you’ve wrought upon the Piranhas, but you won’t have to pay with your lives. Once I’ve frozen you all, I’ll freeze any other opposition, and thus conquer Chima... with not a single death in the process, using powers my people earned, fair and square. With ice chi, I’ll even rid Chima of whatever alien abomination is creating the inter-dimensional portals! Then, there will be peace. Oh, and if others view me as ‘tyrannical’, or if they get tired of my leadership, they can freeze me and take my place. Maybe my successor will choose to forgive and thaw out the Turtles; that’s their choice to make. That is the true way to obtain power, by seizing it fairly, not through royal birthright, or being ‘elected’ by people who’ll just use you as their puppet!”
The Piranhas, motivated further by Pirex’s speech, push harder to break through the barricade.
As his army charges, a beam of orange light appears around the resurrected king.
Pirex: “What... What is this?!?”
Pirex begins floating up in the air while becoming gradually immaterial. All the shocked piranhas can do is watch.
Pirex: “No, no, NO, WHAT IS THIS?!? SALEEM, IS THIS YOUR DOING?!?”
The zombie struggles as he’s, at first slowly, pulled upward by an invisible force. He reaches toward the Turtles’ barricade.
Pirex: “No... it’s so close... Just beyond the valley... I finally realized what I needed to do... SAAALLEEEEEM!!!”
Pirex is then ripped through the sky at the speed of sound, his orange beam joining the thousands of others from Snake HQ, in a collection of arches seen across the continent, as they zoom south toward one point. Every zombie in Chima, save for Piratox, unattainable while imprisoned in the ice chi’s power, strike a single coordinate as their souls return to the afterlife, and their bodies return to nothing. Othaurus sits against the side of the cave as he watches the “ghosts” enter the absorption device and spread throughout the wall, each one going to a different frozen body.
Othaurus: “Right on time. Man, this sure took a while to prepare.”
The octoling gets up and stretches as reptilian forms explode out of the red ice, shattering the wall.

{Jammers back} Ah, yeah oof. All good, I was just wondering lol. Oh. You had your own plans, you didn't need my plans. =P Do you want to hear what they were? lol

IC: *Otto rushes to the side of the flagship on bright orange flashes happening. He watches.* "Such destruction. Shame." *He checks the pygmy owl forces to verify that they have no downed vehicles.* "Your majesty, we need to do something about Saleem and the Snake Tribe. Should I consult my commanders?"
Tyron and his squad get close to Pirex’s amphibious land and sea tank/flagship, but keep having to pull back to dodge the blades of the fang ripper tanks.

OoC: I almost want to create the most terrifying Sylveon xD
OK BUT IMAGINE AN AGGRESSIVE TOGEPI
But once Aurelie can Mega Evolve, they'll have some trouble on their hands...
Trouble...with really good Defense stats.
Trouble that's immune to Dragon- and Ghost-type moves.
Oh, I have an idea. Since there are no Trainers, what if Mega Evolution took some sort of Chi orb instead of a Key Stone? Or maybe the Mega Stone would have to be powered with type-matching Chi or something?
Edit: I can imagine Mega Audino having some mercy on them, considering they're kindhearted Pokemon. They'd still be able to put them to sleep or give them a big ol' Heal Pulse.
OOC: Mega Evolution would probably be from golden chi. As long as it wouldn’t make characters too OP.
OoC: Well, in Aurelie's case, it would boost her Defense and Special Defense as well as her Special Attack slightly, make her part-Fairy-type (giving her two weaknesses, two resistances and two immunities, as opposed to her one weakness and one immunity as a pure Normal-type), and according to the Mega Evolution Pokedex short, the ability to emit a super-powerful Heal Pulse that calms the target and can even reduce the will to fight; apparently, touching the secondary feelers on her chest carelessly could cause the target to fall into a deep sleep- even a dragon.
Mega Evolution is generally temporary, and in Mega Audino's case, it's not like it could wipe out the universe (though it does have team-sweeping potential). It just gets more durable, specially stronger, and dragons can't hit it anymore, plus it has non-immune resistances for once and is no longer weak to Fighting; as a tradeoff, it's weak to Poison and Steel instead of only Fighting and loses its Regenerator ability, if it has one, in favor of Healer. (Regenerator allows Audino to self-heal when it switches out; Healer has a chance to heal status conditions at the end of a turn in a multi-Pokemon battle.)

OOC: You mean Pirex?
IC: Turtle: “Yeah, that was... weird. There were a lot more orange beams like the one Pirex was in, coming from the desert and all arching south. This could be something big.”
The Turtles are ordered by Tyron and Typhoon to momentarily stand down, if the Piranhas stand down as well.

{Jammers on Jgread} So after Wingman left Paradigm, I was gonna have Smaug and Orion, two fireproof cat brothers convince many of the cat part of paradigm to follow them in search of... well. Part of the conversation would've been "So we've been hearing about these 'ice trials', but what about fire trials?" So they would've gone to the volcanic regions looking for fire chi or fire trials and probably awoken the dragons. =P

OoC: It's only the chest feelers, so I don't think it should be too OP? Besides, the enemy could quickly learn that and avoid such a thing.
