Before he could race for the hall leading to the stairs, however, Jay stumbled out, looking dazed. Cole ran to his side. “You all right? Where’s the cat?” “I’m fine. That kitty ran away with its tail between its legs.” Jay shook his head as if to clear it. “Where’s Zane?” “This way.” Cole balanced delicately at the frame of the window, trying not to step on any glass, and leapt to the flat roof where Zane had fallen. Jay joined him, surprisingly graceful in his movement. “Zane?” He called.
UMMMMM
UMMMMMMM
WHAT have you done to my boy? >_>
What? What are you talking about? I didn't do aaaannnnyyyythiiinnnng. Noooottthiinnng at all.
“Over here.” Cole turned to see Zane standing up a few feet away, brushing shards of glass from his uniform. “I am unharmed.” He answered their unspoken question. “Great. Let’s get back inside and—” Cole stopped when he heard yowling and caterwauling from inside the building. Jay’s eyes widened in dismay. “Are there MORE of them attacking?!” “How did they know where we were?!” Cole exclaimed. “What more do they want??” “We should get back inside and assist our friends in stopping the cat-creatures.” Zane said. The ninja turned to the window, only to realize three more huge cat-creatures stood there, their eyes mirroring the lights of the building on the city, making them glow in the dark. They glared at them and bared their teeth, hissing simultaneously. “Hoo, boy. . .” Cole muttered. One of the cats snarled and leapt toward them. “Earth!” Cole lashed a whip-like collection of pure dirt at the charging creature, smacking it in the face. The cat screeched and swiped at its eyes whilst the other two leapt down from the shattered window. One cat ducked from Zane’s arrow-like icicles whilst the other darted to and fro from Jay’s lightning. Cole resorted to using his scythe instead of his powers when the first cat attacked him at close range, swiping and snarling. He spun around while it darted around him, trying to hit the swift-footed creature. He realized the cat was deliberately trying to confuse him, running around in circles while swiping at his legs every few seconds. He looked up to see the other assailants using similar strategies, forcing Jay and Zane to spin about wildly as they tried to strike back. Well, if we’re going to be spinning around, Cole thought with a smile, we’re going to spin OUR way! “Ninjaaa. . . GO!” He whipped around and summoned a rocky vortex of earth. With a grunt he smashed into his assaulter, sending the cat tumbling head over heels. Zane and Jay saw him and did the same, their miniature tornadoes knocking over the cats, whom caterwauled furiously.

As part of the grammar police *shows badge* I shall correct your grammar. That should be "who."
There you go, beating up on yourself again. Cut it out.
Sorry . . . but it's true!
I don't care if it's true or not; you have no reason to beat yourself up emotionally, because you are so much more than that. If your friends can care and appreciate you for who you are, so can you.
