Oh, right. I gotta post here.
Chapter 10: The Chapter Where Stuff Happens
The four ran closer and closer to the action. Kai, Nya, Cole and Wu were each dueling Stone Warriors; Kai was battling. A cacophony of clashing metal filled the area. Pieces of buildings and statues were littered upon the ground. “We’ve got the helmet!” Lloyd yelled.
Kai turned around to look, but a sharp blade suddenly struck him, and he fell to his side on the ground. Lloyd gasped, dropping the helmet, and ran towards him, but the Stone Warrior wasn’t done yet. It raised its large sword over its heard, ready to strike it down, but Lloyd quickly grabbed two katanas from his back and blocked the sword. A sudden burst of green energy blasted from his hands, sending the Warrior spiraling into a building a few meters away.
“Kai, are you okay?” Lloyd asked worriedly.
Kai seemed to be in pain. Grunting and groaning, he responded: “Go . . . get the helmet. It’s the . . . only thing that . . .”
Not able to complete his sentence, he fell to the ground. Lloyd looked behind him, and saw several Stone Warriors running towards the Helmet.
Lloyd gasped again, and began to rise to his feet, but a sudden blur grabbed the helmet. It was Andrew. “Yus!” He shouted as he put it on his head.
It was a bit large, but the moment it was on, every warrior suddenly stood straight and unmoving like a statue. All of the sudden, they all repeatedly, at the same moment, slapped themselves. This repeated. This repeated again. They were constantly slapping themselves, and Andrew’s voice could be heard. “Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself?” Andrew constantly asked with a large grin.
“Andrew!” Cole asked. “What are you doing?”
“I control them now! Just having a little fun.”
Cole didn’t look amused. “Don’t you know how powerful that thing is?! You shouldn’t-”
Cole paused. “Actually, that’s pretty funny.” He admitted.
“See?” Andrew laughed. “Now who wants to see them do the funky chicken?”
“Let’s not, shall we?” Lloyd groaned.
“Fine. All right, you stone-heads!” He shouted, then looking at the standing Stone Warriors. “Look at the mess you made! You guys rebuild this city before I lose it!”
On this command, the Stone Warriors each walked off to a building or object which was destroyed, and began grabbing pieces from the ground to put it back together.
“Good work, Andrew. With this many Stone Warriors, the city should be rebuilt in little time.” Zane complimented.
Nya seemed to be happy as well, but she then looked over and saw a figure lying on the ground. “Kai!” She gasped as she ran over to his side.
His eyes were closed, and he didn’t seem to be moving. “We have to get him to the hospital immediately!” Lloyd announced.
Each ninja ran over, including Andrew, whose helmet fell off when he ran. All the Stone Warriors stopped frozen in their tracks. Dareth walked over to the helmet. “Hey, kid! You forgot your- hm.”
Dareth put the helmet back on. “Back to work, you!” He yelled with as he smiled, happy to be in command.

“He’s still alive.” The doctor announced as he looked at the screen.
“That is a relief.” Zane said.
The other ninja seemed to relax a bit more as well, but still seemed anxious. Nya walked over to her motionless brother, who was lying on the hospital bed. She spoke no words, but just look at him worriedly. “Wake up, brother.” She whispered as quiet as she could. “Please wake up.”
“We’ve bandaged him where the wound was.” The doctor said, looking at the still-nervous ninja. “He’ll need a bit of time to recover, but he should be back and healthy in four-to-five days. It was a bad one, but thankfully, you guys brought him here in time. Had you waited much longer, I’m not sure if he’d make it out.”
Suddenly, Nya let out a loud, frightened gasp. “What if we were too late for Jay?” She wondered aloud in fear.
Several minutes later, the ninja were speedily driving through the Desert Canyon. The large tires sent clouds of sand left in the distance as the zoomed through the valleys. “Pixal has detected a wreckage at latitude thirty-four degrees, longitude twenty-eight degrees.” Zane said.
“Let’s get over there now!” Lloyd shouted.
A few moments later, the vehicles stopped, and the ninja jumped out. There, they saw a wreck of white and titanium metal, crashed into the ground. “The Raider jet!” Nya exclaimed as she ran over. She peered inside the wreckage, in attempt to find Jay. She gasped.
“What’s wrong, Nya?” Lloyd asked as he ran to her side.
Nya then picked up a torn-up scrap of blue robes. An odd-looking golden octopus was sewn onto it. Tears began to fill Nya’s eyes. Jay had been there – but was no longer.
Zane inspected the wreckage. “The jet crashed one-point-two-three-seven hours ago. Aside from the scrap Nya is holding, I can detect no other sign of him.”
He turned to Nya. “Nya, had Jay not lived through the crash, more than just his clothes would be left here.”
Nya then understood what Zane meant. She gasped. “That must mean . . . Jay is still alive?”
“But where?” Lloyd asked. “He could be anywhere in this sea of sand!”
Nya looked at him with a confident smile. “I know just the place.” She said.

“His parents’ junkyard!” Lloyd exclaimed. “Of course! Why didn’t I think of it? This is exactly the place he’d come if lost!”
Nya smiled as she walked up to the door of the small, shaky trailer and knocked upon it. The door opened, and Edna was there. “Hi, dearie!” She said excitedly with a glance at Nya.
“So glad you came in! Jay’s right over there.” She stated sweetly.
“Thanks, Mrs. Walker!” She said as she walked over to a small, round table.
Sitting around it were Ed and Jay. They had been playing a card game, but they looked up when the ninja approached the table. Jay was wearing a pink shirt with an image of a pug wearing glasses on it.
“Well, hello there, ninja!” Ed greeted with a wave.
“Hi!” Jay said, standing up from his chair. “Where have you guys been? Oh, and next time a team member’s vehicle crashes, would you mind actually stopping to help them?”
“We’re sorry, Jay.” Lloyd said. “It’s just that you were going so quickly, and our task was so important, we took little notice!”
“Yeah, but it wasn’t as if the Stone Warriors were going to come back immediately. You guys couldn’t have-?”
Zane interrupted. “Actually, the Stone Warriors did attack Ninjago City. It was only a few minutes after we arrived.
Jay seemed surprised. “Oh . . .” He said softly. “Well . . . I’m glad you were there to stop them?”
“Oh, while you’re here, couldn’t you stay for a bite?” Edna asked. “We’d love to have you for just a few minutes.”
“That’s a gracious offer, Mrs. Walker, but we’ll have to decline.” Lloyd said, concerned about the time. “We’re needed back at the temple.”
“Gee whilkers, that much of a rush?” Ed asked. “Well, it’s fine! I hope to see you again!”
“Okay! Goodbye!” Nya called as she walked out.
The five walked began walking out of the building. “Nice shirt.” Nya commented as she glanced at Jay.”
“It was the only one we could find, after mine got ripped!” Jay said.
They began to chuckle, until Andrew piped up. “You have creepy parents.” He said.
Lloyd laughed, but Jay just smiled. “They’re only a little social, that’s all.” He explained. “You’ll get used to them.”
“Hey, where are the others?” Jay asked as he glanced at Zane.
Zane responded: “They are at the hospital.”
“WHAT?!?!” Jay exclaimed in surprise.
“Yeah, we have a lot of explaining to do.” Lloyd acknowledged as they continued walking into the desert night.
