Chapter 24: The Battle - Part 1 The alarm screeched wildly into Andrew’s ear. “Gah, what’s that?!” He exclaimed as the loud, blaring noise echoed throughout the temple. Andrew ran to the temple’s entrance. In front of him stood a security screen near the edge of the door. Normally, it was turned off and showed no sign of life, but this time it showed a frightening video of the masked figure and a huge army of Ninjago’s enemies standing before the city. Andrew gasped. The time for a new battle had come. He stood gaping at the horrifying image on the screen, not seeing one certain powerful army, but six, fierce, angered, and dangerous armies ready for the looming battle. Andrew stood gaping, suddenly processing what had happened. What was he doing? He was a random kid in an orphanage, yet he stood there preparing to risk his life and all of Ninjago! What force did he have? What could he ever accomplish? Why did it even matter? His efforts would probably result to be futile and be the last thing he ever do. Suddenly, his mind called back to a brief, previous moment. Andrew was sitting in the corner, fighting back tears forming in his eyes. Lloyd gazed at him, and said with confidence and meaning: "You can still do it." The line had not meant much to him back at the time, yet the words spoke out strongly and echoed throughout his mind. Somebody believed in him. Somebody trusted him. He had to do this, and was fully capable. He had to power to do so. Back to the present, Andrew stood straighter. He was Ninjago's last hope. He ran with speed out of the temple, onto the grassy grounds and off leaping straight into the air. He suddenly transformed into a black, feathery raven and soared across the blue skies. His wings flapped quickly as he traveled through the air, then quickly shrank into a tiny spider, barely a centimeter. He hit the ground after a few moments of exciting falling, gaining to damage or pain. He then grew abruptly into a cheetah, with black spots decorating its sandy pelt. He began running as fast as his legs allowed, feeling a type of energy new to him.
Chapter 24: The Battle - Part 2 He approached an area where he knew he would come upon the soon-to-be-battlefield, so he transformed into a chameleon and scattered up the hill, allowing his skin to blend in with the sandy color of the dirt path. He did not want the army to see him coming. After a good bit up running, he made it upon the top of the hill. Camille was looking to the horizon, trying to find Andrew. Many of the warriors in the army seemed to be glancing about warily as well. Andrew's heart was racing. He knew he should soon take form of some creature and surprise-attack the army, but fear and dread of the violence to come kept him immobile. Jay, sitting gloomily in his cage, suddenly noticed the chameleon. He stared at it for a moment, then gasped. He recognized the identity of it. Kai looked over at him. "What is it?" he mouthed, afraid of rebuke from Zane or Camille. Jay pointed excitedly to Andrew. Kai gaped at it, unsure whether to feel overjoyed or afraid. "Something caught your eye, ninja?" Camille asked, noticing them. The two looked up with false innocence, acting as if they had not seen anything. Camille walked closer to the cage. "What is it?" She asked in a stern voice, demanding an answer. "Somebody about to kick your butt!" Andrew shouted abruptly from behind her, swirling into a sudden spinjitzu vortex, radiating with orange light. Camille turned around just before the twirling tornado struck her, sending her sprawling backwards. "Attack!!" She shouted as she stood up from her fall. All at once, the army ran towards Andrew, yelling fiercely with their weapons raised towards the air. Andrew turned around, and, with a cocky smile, shrunk down to a field mouse and scampered quickly between the legs of the warriors. As they tried to chase after him, realizing the recent development, his fur grew orange as his size enlarged up to a vicious, roaring lion that charged towards the army, knocking aside Nindroids and Serpentine as they were sent soaring to the side. The Elemental Masters cheered in joy and excitement.
Chapter 24: The Battle - Part 3 His fur then turned into feathers and he morphed into an eagle, veering into the depths of the skies to swoop below, knocking out more fighters. Realizing not all were receiving the proper effect, he sprouted towards a blue water dragon, spewing water upon hundreds of ghost warriors, making them fizz away until they were no more. "How is he doing this?!?" Camille screeched with rage. "He's just a kid!" Knocking over many battlers with his massive, gleaming wings, Andrew released a roar of confidence. The majority of the army was on the ground, too weak to continue fighting. Andrew shrunk back to his human form and ran towards Camille with speed and energy, powered by adrenaline. Camille's hair shrunk drastically and became orange as she, now the Lightning Ninja, shot a suddenly zap of electricity towards Andrew. Andrew, thinking quickly, deflected the shot by suddenly becoming a jellyfish, sitting idly on the ground and receiving no injury. Camille stared. "That's a bit of a weird instinct." She noted. Andrew grew into an orangutan, then leapt upon Camille's shoulders, pulling her down by the neck. Camille slipped free if his grasp and suddenly grew a green, lightning-shaped scar upon her head as her hair became black and wavy. She struck the ground, making large chunks of earth pop out and knock Andrew off his feet, clumsily hitting the ground with a thud. "Yeah, Earth!" Cole shouted excitedly from the cage. The other Elemental Masters glared at him. Realizing his mistake, Cole corrected, "I mean, boo, she used my element to bring 'im down. Bad." Andrew expanded to a coyote, and charged at Camille viciously, biting her leg. Camille yelped and stumbled out of his jaws. She suddenly pounded her fists together and became the Master of Metal, Karlof, charging at Andrew. Andrew, unsure of what creature could sustain the injury, shrunk down to a flea, allowing Camille to run right past him. He popped back up to his human form.

Chapter 24: The Battle - Part 4 Camille turned back into her human form as well, glaring at him in rage. She ran towards him, yelling, too angrily to think of a strategic way to take him down. Andrew ducked out of the way before she could land any damage. "Why are you doing this?!" He shouted. "I'm tired of being just another face!" Camille shouted with rage, emotion swelling up as her face turned red with anger. "I'm tired of just being the 'Master of Form!' All you special Elemental Masters, you believe your power is greater than mine! I reject the notion any of you are more powerful than me! People will recognize my power when I am the only one! I will not be 'one of those people who fought the Anacondrai,' Ninjago will bow to what I am and deserve to be - and I will not let anybody stand in my way! Including you!" She ran towards him once again, and once again had no success. "It doesn't have to be this way!" He yelled. "I don't care!" She screeched. "I will vanquish you all! I hate you all!" Suddenly, Andrew had another memory. The word "hate" triggered an old memory. "A warrior does not strike with hate and anger; they do it for love.” Wu's voice spoke sharply in Andrew's mind. "For love of Ninjago and its people." Love. It was similar to those cheesy films the ninja would cringe and laugh at, but he finally saw the truth. Camille was running towards him once again. Andrew stood back, bracing himself. His body continuously morphed into so many forms and types he didn't know what he was anymore. He finally ran forward, with a newfound source of energy. He bounded into the air. Time froze. He stared upon his sister, ready to make the final move to end all this turmoil of Ninjago. Then, Andrew struck. He struck for love. He struck for love of his family. He struck for love of his home. He struck for love of Ninjago.
