The ground was shaking. It felt awful. Somebody had just thrown a thermal detonator at some imperials that were occupying the planet but it wasn't only Imperials who died. Many citizens of the town had been blown up too. I had been a member of Saw's Partisans since I was fifteen. That was three years ago. Up until now I had never questioned my allegiance. Many planets had suffered under Imperial reign. Mine was one of those. One day a group of rebels came and provided our town with supplies we dearly needed and a joined up with them. Soon I arrived at the Rebel Headquarters where I met Saw. He seemed to hate the Empire more than anyone. I went on so many missions with him and the rest of his Partisans but eventually he became two extreme for the Rebellion. It was then I realized these may not have been the people I once thought they were. That's my story really begins to pick up. You see in the moment I saw the citizens killed by men who were supposedly protecting them and leading them to freedom. Freedom from what!? Freedom from living any longer!? After the battle they returned to the base but I stayed in town. I said I was going to scout around to find remaining Imperials and that's exactly what I did. Once they were gone I went to the nearest Imperial outpost I could find. I offered them intel on the rebels in exchange for a chance to enlist. Now 3 more years later I am proud soldier In the Imperial army but that's not the end of my story. I'll tell you more later but be warned it is filled with grief, regrets, and a sad ending but I'll save that for another time.

Part One; A trade.
“I’m willing to make you a deal. I’ll give you all the information that I know about the Rebellion if you in-roll me into your trooper academy,” I said to the superior officer on duty. “What do you know,” He asked, arching an eyebrow in interest. I looked at him and returned the motion, “I know enough to get an application.” He considered my offer than gave me a smile, “Alright. We except you’re offer.” And so we made a trade. I was to leave on a shuttle with other academy applicants the next evening. I was still mulling over the problem of how to get my bag of stuff out, when I arrived back at the base. I passed some people in the hallway as I made my way to my quarters. Some of them smiled at me and I struggled to smile back. Was this the right thing to do? Then why do I feel guilty?
Dinner was a struggle to get anything in my stomach without throwing it back up. I finally lay in bed, but sleep avoided me. I lay there and lay there until finally exhaustion overtook me. A dream invaded my sleep and took me on a wild ride. A ride I hated, but my dreams never ask me.
Part Two: Graduate
TK-4571. I’m finally with a squadron of troopers after one year of waiting and flying around, and two years of grueling academy work on Lothal. I only know two people in my fifty-stormtrooper platoon. There are twenty of us new stormtroopers on a Sienar-Jaemus Army Systems's Atmospheric Assault Lander, and our clone lieutenant is staring us down. I am extra nervous, because we would meet the rest of the platoon when we touched down. We’re coming to the Wobani detention center, because off the increase in prisoners with the resent harnessing of five planets. After awhile our lieutenant finally looked away and I let my mind wander. I found myself thinking of Saw Gerrera. The last I’d heard of him he was on Jedha, leading a band of his Partisans. I felt almost lonsem for them for a second, but quickly forced myself out of it. I Grabbed onto the rising resentment and made myself strong. Ah yes! This was strength. I would be the best trooper they ever had! I knew I could and I would try my best to get there, no matter what. This was a real army. No soft feelings, no miscalculations, and a lot less casualties.
The day I decided on joining the Empire comes back to me. I hate that memory, but it seems to have free rein in my head. I pulled myself back to the real world as a landing announcement came over the speakers. We prepared for the landing and the procedure went off without a hitch. I could feel the electricity in the air as we touched down. We got sorted quickly and fowllowed our lieutenant out into the light. To out right another group of twenty was leaving another Atmospheric Assault Lander and ten where leaving one to our left. We met and formed up then the whole platoon followed the lieutenant into the prison, as our transports left. This was it. Go time. I could do this.
And I was right I could. I didn't know, at the time, what I would stoop to to get there though. But that for another time.
