"In due time, brother. Preparations for our conquest are all but entirely completed. If it weren't for some, we might have taken half the universe already. You see, Anakritis, our former leader, has decided to put her own interests in front of the Brotherhood's and fled the throne when challenged for it. We cannot succeed with these broken ranks.
So I am going after her. If she will not return to complete Valix's challenge, then she will die a traitor's death."
Karunax's mind nearly explodes, a mental agony unlike anything he's ever experienced (here) tormenting his mind.
Kratark returns right behind Karunax's assailant, and does not say a word, staring at her in a manner altogether creepier and much for hateful than Voidarix did a while earlier.
When he did speak, it was to say something very obscene and derogatory.
What followed was a straight blast of fear, enough to have made Karunax himself shudder if he were the target of such fear.
"Don't even try to pretend that you're not afraid right now. I assure you that nobody's immune to the kraata power of fear, and nobody ever will be. Not even a mary sue like Blarkrok. Oh, and YJF, let me make this very clear to you: no. I don't consent you to kill me, cus I was freaking just brought back and have a lot of character development to go through."
Kratark then looked at Karunax in an entirely in-menacing way and said: "Why is it that YJF has the only female Makuta in this RP? I think that the gender is being very sorely misrepresented. I'm sure there must be some female Makuta that don't act like complete witches but they're just not being roleplayed by anyone. Strange, isn't it? Oh, and yes. I am back. Make sure this one doesn't do anything but cower in fear, would you? I have the strangest feeling she's going to claim she is somehow immune to my strongest power, and having someone as invincible as you to actually enforce fair play is awfully convenient. Also -- hi Nich -- how's the peg-leg?"
*disclaimer: any fourth wall breaks are of course, not strictly canon, but fun nonetheless

Karunax's mind nearly explodes, a mental agony unlike anything he's ever experienced (here) tormenting his mind.
Karunax roars in agony, stumbling sideways before falling to his knees, clutching at his head with his claws. Voidarix can see something happening behind those claws: Karunax's head is shifting, armored plates growing and spreading across the sides of his Kanohi and encasing his head like a helmet, his beast-like horns growing slightly longer and more jagged. After a short moment, Karunax removes his hands and drops to all fours, a wild grin spread across his enraged expression, his eyes full of menace and excitement. He chuckles, rumbling,
"She's as good as dead."
Voidarix blinks, somehow not reacting as much as one generally would to such a spectacle. Instead, he simply smiles, replying jovially, "Cool. In the meantime,"he suddenly crouched down, eyes narrowing and mouth widening in a toothy grin. With a slight growl in his voice, he adds darkly, "I'm gonna break some stuff."
With a roar, he blasts out of the room, a blast of purple energy propelling him rapidly through the corridors. Eventually, he reaches the outer courtyards of Destral. Now in the open, his massive wings unfold as he soars upwards, his speed letting loose a shockwave down below as he races away from the island.

OOC: Jeez moderation is slow around here. The forum page said you had the most recent post in here for the past four days, and I couldn't see it as if it was stuck in moderation.
IC: Karunax stands to his full height, staring at Kratark with a wicked smile.
" ... Kratark... you've returned as well. This is good. Now I can be certain nothing unfortunate will happen while I'm off executing traitors."
Karunax roars in agony, stumbling sideways before falling to his knees, clutching at his head with his claws. Karunax watches him go, too full of rage to really be bothered by Voidarix's sudden leave. He shoots him a mental message, which Karunax oddly finds suddenly difficult to do, as if something was resisting his telepathy.
Careful, brother... we have yet to launch the Brotherhood's Plan for conquest. No densely populated areas, understand?

Kratark all the while is sitting in a corner of the room, silently observing the situation with an air of mild, almost undetectable discontent.
"What even is our agenda anymore?" He asked in a noticeably dry and weary tone. "Forgive me if I am not the specter of death and torment you were expecting --but being literally trapped INSIDE the hollowed out chest of a Toa of LIGHT will give you a crick in the proverbial neck, and all I've seen you people do is telepathically attack and abuse one another. In fact, if I am perfectly honest, I have reason to believe this is not the Brotherhood I was told to sign up for all those years ago."
His eyes narrowed when he said this, and he relaxed into a more casual pose, no longer taking his brother Karunax seriously.
"Give me one good reason why I should be somebody else's villain just to be your hero, Karun."
OOC: I know this universe's Karunax isn't really Karun, but I can imagine dropping part of somebody's name would be rude to begin with. Plus -- Kratark has always had that trope of calling Karunax "Karun" it'd be a shame to lose that running gag.

Voidarix receives a mental message.
Faker.
No further comment from Kratark. Just that one word. "faker". If he bothered to read further into it, he might sense a distinct sense of disappointment and sadness in just that one word.

I'd be relieved to see at least one female Makuta that doesn't act like YJF's characters

Karunax appears not to notice Kratark's jabs, but his tone still darkens.
"The Brotherhood is set to conquer the world and take its rightful place as the ruler of all lesser races. And of course, right as our chance approaches, self-conceited vermin among us rear their disgusting schemes. We cannot achieve conquest when our own kind dares to threaten us. There is only one Brotherhood, Kratark, and I plan to stamp out the impostors. If you want to abandon us, I will stamp you out as well."

"You could try. But what would that accomplish if I don't care about what this Brotherhood does either way? The way I see it: nothing I do at this point will satisfy my creator's original orders. And I'm not about to be coerced by some raging hulk who had two letters added to his name just to feel more like one of us. Did you expect me to come in here full of rage, a desire for vengeance perhaps? Did you perhaps expect somebody who's blade you could easily turn on people that have never, nor could ever, hurt me? I am a tired Makuta Karun. I'm done killing until I see a good reason to. Simple as that."
