Name: Loralin Summerfield Element: The Green
Powers: Plant life. Energizing life Rhotuka. Experience in engineering. Kanohi: Mask of Mutation Tools: Lightstone. Six toa stones. Disk/Rhotuka launcher. Budding staff. Appearance: She hides under dark green rags and leaves.

Name: Zhànshì (formerly Amakka) Species: Makuta Powers: Makuta powers. Above Makuta average strength (due to combination of Makuta strength and Protosteel muscles). Kanohi: Kiril. Hau. Tools: Protosteel halberd, sword, and armor. His Hau is the visor of his helmet, which can be pulled down in a swift motion to gain access to it's powers in place of the Kiril abilities. Inside his armor is a beautiful network of flexible protosteel fibers used to simulate muscles, drenched in his antidermis (which means less antidermis hint hint). Appearance: His Protosteel armor is ornately decorated with swirling currents, legendary rahi, and depictions of Stelti heroes. It is red and gold. His helmet and masks are red, with the helmet having golden decorations of fire flowing away from the kanohi. Backstory: For many years, Amakka had been assigned to the island of Stelt, only interfering in local politics when necessary, and only from the shadows. In time, his Makuta pride overtook him, steering his will towards ruling Stelt as its king. He challenged the leaders of the land and claimed his first victory before the Universe went still.

Name: Harakeke Species: Zyglak Powers: Resistance to the physical effects of elements. Being a carrier of the Protodermis destroying disease. Unlike most of his species, Harakeke is more agile than strong. He is also proficient at camouflaging himself. Tools: Longbow and arrows. Horns from a member of Vengeance's species tied to his head (granting him mental resistance). Appearance: Much smaller and more nimble than other Zyglak, decorated with dead plants that break up his humanoid shape, allowing for camouflage. Backstory: His tribe was wiped out by a psionic being while he and a few others went hunting. When his hunting party returned, they vowed to track down the being. When they found her (on the same island as Vengeance's home), a fight broke out. He was the only survivor, and only because he was thrown onto the sharp horns of a fallen local, hiding his mental aliveness. Soon, he discovered why he was sparred, stole the horn, and vowed revenge on the entire universe.

Name: Avoss Species: Makuta
Kanohi: Rode.
Powers: All makuta powers excluding Darkness, Shadow, and Shadow Hand. Tools: Lightstones. Midak sky blasters. Protosteel lance with a kanoka blade tip (Ruru kanoka), when activated, the blinding light of a Ruru is magnified by a light stone (magnification can be adjusted to disperse the light evenly, or fire a blinding beam). Appearance: A golden kanohi, pauldrons, chest plate, and gauntlets are the only pieces of armor he wears that isn't white. He is the size and shape of a bulky Toa, or Axonn's species. Personality: He hates the darkness, and purged that darkness out of himself. However, instead of gaining extra powers like Makuta from the Melding Universe, he kept his powers (except the ones listed above). Also unlike the Melding Makuta, his personality took a turn for the worse, embodying the harsher aspects of light rather than the welcoming ones. If someone needs moral light to properly judge right from wrong, Avoss blinded himself with it. Backstory: He used to be content with his Mata-Nui given duties until the Brotherhood went rogue. Now he crusades across the universe opposing their efforts.
Yes, it's invisible. Highlight the text to read it. I figured it was a nice effect, considering his moral blindness.
Some updates to my old OCs to bring them into this apparent new setting. I'm assuming a time skip since they were all Matoran before.
Toa:
Name: Korust Element: Ice Kanohi: Great Matatu, shaped as if hordikafied oddly enough. Weapons: A large gunlance equipped with a freeze ray, and a sub-protosteel shield. Appearance. Tall with mostly silver and white armor. His body structure is unlike most other Toa and he possesses heavy legs. Personality: Korust speaks in robotic speech patterns following his transformation into a Toa. The cause is unknown. Though he seems cold and robotic outside, he has a dark side and an apparent hate for Makuta. Especially one in particular...
Backstory: Created by a particular Great Being, Korust lived on a small island in the Southern Chains that is snowy and features what looks like a pine forest. This village was wiped out by a Makuta, and though Korust and his comrades fought bravely to attempt to hold the attacker off, he was made to flee as the last survivor. He fell off a cliff and fell into a pool of energized protodermis. He was later recruited by a self-proclaimed Toa of Light, and joined his team on a very foolhardy quest to directly oppose the Brotherhood of Makuta.
Name: Tahriak Element: Fire Kanohi: great huna, noble jutlin, arthron Weapons: Demonic, bat-like wing-blades that he can remove from his shoulders to fight with like tonfas. A flaming saber that doubles as a jet booster when stowed on his back. A flame cannon worn either on the shoulder or held by hand. Appearance: Slightly tall and with a general Toa-like build... but with certain makuta-like features. His feet look like Icarax's would have, for example. Personality: Driven by anger but not quite to the point of bloodlust (or would it be antidermislust?). Tahriak wishes to see an end to most Makuta. He sees himself in a bit of a negative light now that his appearance has been altered by the Brotherhood.
Backstory: Created by a particular Great Being, Tahriak lived on an island in the Southern Chains that featured a volcano. Lava surfing was a favorite pastime of the villagers there. One day when Tahriak returned from a run, he found his whole village wrecked, and with no apparent survivors. He was later recruited by a self-proclaimed Toa of Light, and joined his team on a very foolhardy quest to directly oppose the Brotherhood of Makuta. He was captured however, and endured experiments that were meant to transform him in some way. He eventually escaped, but not before being partially transframed and empowered by Makuta viruses.
Kanohi: A pakari shaped as if it were adapted to a swamp environment (like Onua's from 2008)
Weapons: A shield with spinning blades, and a large armcannon that fires boulders. Also carries a spiked club as a side-arm. In addition, he possesses two shield generators mounted on his shoulders that are capable of producing an energy field similar to a hau's, they vibrate like jackhammers when they're active so he has to stand still and brace himself to make use of them. Appearance: Oñuklok boasts the sturdiest armor in his team. As such, his design is incredibly bulky and armored compared to the other members of his team. His legs have a design similar to that of a member of Krekka's species, and his chest bears much in the way of armor plating. Personality: Oñuklok is the least affected by things such as 'loss' or 'conflict', and as such, struggles the least with maintaining the Toa Code. As the fellow tank of the team, he gets along the most with Korust.
Backstory: Oñuklok lived in an Onu-Matoran village in the Northern Continent as a humble minor. He was somewhat eccentric in that he had aspirations of being a Toa, and would energetically smash rocks with his mining pick as if they were Rahi or other monsters. Eventually, the Onu-Matoran discovered a larger cave in their mine where a fairly large Rahi had been resting, and it was Oñuklok who decided to throw the mining equipment they had at it, which proved to be enough to get the beast to run away. Some time after this incident, a Toa of light recruited Oñuklok to be part of his crusade against the Brotherhood.
Name: Blarkrok Element: Light Kanohi: Garai Weapons: Sword, rhotuka shield, large crossbow. Appearance: Looks like a normal Toa for the most part. He is as tall as a Makuta however... Personality: Blarkrok has the personality of an exaggerated paladin. He saw Makuta as once good people who have turned from their duty and need to be reminded of it. He would often incessantly debate and negotiate for them to 'repent of their sins' as if such a thing was possible anymore. He had all too much faith in a Makuta's ability to change, and paid the price for his arrogance.
Backstory: When Emarcee's favored creation, Kratark, went along with the convocation, and had begun harming Matoran, he directly intervened and pierced the Makuta's armor himself. Unable to bring himself to slay the Makuta though, he instead modified the Makuta's armor, and sealed him back inside of it... a Toa's brain was manufactured and installed... and was made to be able to interface with the Makuta's protosteel body and seal him inside. Indeed, Blarkrok is merely a Toa of light meant to imprison Kratark in his own chassis. Blarkrok was slain in an attempt to single-handedly free Tahriak from Destral. Kratark was able to emerge as the Toa of Light was weakened from battle, though Tahriak managed to escape.

I'll drop my SON here now and try to rewrite his backstory a bit.
Name: Kratark
Species: Makuta
Element: Shadow
Powers: All 42 kraata powers (as is standard for a Makuta.) Heavily favors fear, illusion, and mind-reading. Kratark has an eldritch, otherworldly presence. His specialization with these powers is enough to have the same effect on a Makuta as it would otherwise have on a Toa.
Kanohi: Emarcee favored the shape of the kanohi kraahkan, and so he forged an akaku for Kratark to wear in the shape of it.
Weapons: Kratark's primary weapon is a punching-blade curved over his fist. The blade can be flinged when swung. He also owns a very large black greatsword with purple details he has dubbed "Stolen Soul"
Appearance: tall with blackened spikey armor, as well as strangely bright silvers for a Makuta. His secondary color is purple.
Personality: Kratark previously suffered from a chronic sense of apathy that caused him to go along with the convocation. Had he thought more critically, he likely would've been able to stop the Brotherhood from going rogue at all. Being imprisoned in Blarkrok and admonished by his creator has changed Kratark, and he carries a much more tired and weary personality. His loyalty to the main Brotherhood is shed, but he doesn't exactly have a great sense of heroism in him either. The two things he cares most about are his cape, and his pet Waffles, both of which he's been known to fly in a rage over when they've been threatened in some way.
Backstory: Kratark was created by the Great Being Emarcee, who wanted nothing more than to create a being of incredible power. He was so enamored with the idea of creating a Makuta -- that he went ahead and did it. Kratark was born as the 101st Makuta, and his arrival shook the Brotherhood. He ended up as a strong asset and pawn however, and went along with their vile machinations out of apathy and not having anything better to do.
Having been admonished by his creator, and hated by the Toa who's lives he's affected, Kratark has confined himself to a life of solitude on Zakaz, the island he was assigned to previously. He takes a somewhat upfront role to ruling. Appearing before the Skakdi to tell them to their faces not to squabble. He often pays them to look after his surprisingly docile Rahi, Waffles.
Kratark's current sense of morality is unusually balanced for a Makuta. He has come to reject light and shadow as absolute concepts, and exists in a grey state that is mostly informed by pragmatism more than anything else. He is very weary of conflict in general and has a peacemaker streak.
And Valfakt, for good measure. I never got to do anything with this character.
Name: Valfakt Species: Makuta Element: ??? Powers: Seems to specialize in plasma and shapeshifting. Kanohi: Kanohi Kadin shaped like a ururau (This is a 3d printed fan-mask developed by members of the Bionicle fan community. Weapons: He seems to wield a sword with a design foreign to the Matoran Universe's, characterized by a curved single edge and circular guard. His other two weapons are a pair of pistols that seem plasma-based. Appearance: Shorter than the average Makuta with large drake-like metallic wings. Each wing in fact has three large rocket thrusters that he channels his kraata power of plasma through. He prefers to remain shapeshifted in the form of a fierce, silver dragon to avoid suspicion of being more than a mere Rahi. Personality: Fierce and unrelenting. Valfakt is a mission-oriented person and is usually keen to get a job done when he has one.
Backstory: Created by a Great Being rival to Emarcee, Valfakt was sent to infiltrate the Great Spirit Robot to eradicate all the vying factions within, an approach completely contrary to Emarcee's ideals of respecting the lives they'd created. For the time being, he soars high above the Great Spirit Robot... appearing as a second red star in the night sky.

Name: Crystalia
Alias: The Ice Witch, Makuta of Karzahni, "That Crazy Scientist"
Species: Toa of Ice (formerly), Makuta (formerly), Toa/Makuta Hybrid
Element: Ice, Shadow
Powers: Aside from the typical kraata powers, Crystalia specializes in the Kraata Power of Hunger.
Kanohi: Olmak, Avsa
Weapons/Tools: Crystalia has Kiril disks forged into her armor, allowing her to regenerate damage. She has a spear, that has power lance technology inside it.
Appearance: Crystalia stands at about 8 feet tall. She has white armor, with accents of light blue and silver. She has a pair of horns that protrude out of her forehead and curve upwards and back, towards the back of her head. She has blades across her body, used as 'decoration', and as supplemental weapons in the case where she doesn't have her spear. She has two large wings, with a total wingspan of about 14 ft long, when they are fully extended. Crystalia's eyes are light-blue, and she has a small tail that ends in a long, thin surgical needle.
Personality: Crystalia is well-known for her 'cold' attitude. She strives to be as logical as possible, but her ego and her temper sometimes interfere with that. She's rather amoral, with little concern for what is "right" or "wrong", everything is an experiment to her. Crystalia is somewhat of a perfectionist, she likes things going the way she plans. She is extremely cunning and manipulative, but she does not have a history of being a liar, so much as twisting the truth to suit her own ends.
Backstory: Crystalia was born from the Antidermis pool, like the rest of her kin. She was a member of Zeytran's Strike Squad, with a few other Makuta, until she realized Zeytran had set them up to be exterminated, and she abandoned them. Crystalia was always well known for her cruel experiments, and for her harshly, yet efficient combative style. She was assigned to the island of Karzahni, where she built her death-trap citadel. She has become somewhat of a recluse, with multiple servants of the Brotherhood trembling at the mere thought of her. While many know of her as the "Ice Witch", very few know how she developed her powers over ice. The truth is a bit less sinister than what Crystalia would have others believe, as she was experimenting on a Toa of Ice that had gotten sent to Karzahni. Crystalia used energized protodermis, and the next she knew, she was engaged in a mental battle with the toa. She eventually supplanted their will, but found herself capable of accessing their powers. Crystalia likes to imply that she somehow managed to steal them, through her well-known mastery over Hunger.

Name: "Karzohk" (true name unknown) Species: Toa Element: Ice Kanohi: Mask of Undeath (with horns) Tools: Three Amana volo spheres (canon beads of healing). Inika claws (retractable like wolverine). "Muaka Whisker," a thin, flexible, high tensile strength cord of purified solid protodermis that acts as both a whip, and a dangerous cutting tool. An arm mounted disk launcher (which he uses to fire razor sharp plates of ice). Appearance: You feel like you've just committed a sin by looking at him. Nothing about him looks like a valiant hero. Instead, he has more the appearance of a demon from your darkest nightmares. Somehow, the white of his armor looks more pale and sickly than other Ko-Toa. His blue photoreceptors never break contact with yours, as if trying to burrow into your soul. His posture is all wrong, bent in odd places as if he was some rahi with bones that never set right. You notice a light pulsing in his chest and realize that you can see his heart light, vomiting up erratic glow after glow, seeming to suggest he's on the edge of his life. Backstory: Originally a matoran sent to Karzanhi for an issue with his heart light, "Karzohk" was met with the insanity inducing effects of Karzanhi's work schedules. Still, his will was strong, and he resisted, which flooded the tyrant with rage. In an attempt to control, "Karzohk," Karzanhi used a Memory Crystal to nearly wipe matoran's mind. It failed, but at least the matoran stopped trying to invoke a rebellion. Eventually, his strong will caught the attention of Mnemosyne, who took him in under her relentless and unforgiving training, eventually turning him into a toa in the process. Because the memories of his past life were gone, his idea of what a, "hero" was was skewed, which is why some of his features bear resemblance to Karzanhi (his only idea of a, "hero")
Name: Isolde. Species: Shadow Stealer's species. Element: Shadow (energy) Powers: Absorbing darkness and converting it into energy he can use. He can also use shadows as a gateway from one place to another. (in canon, the power never says HOW he uses the energy, so... Enhanced speed/strength, and energy blasts?) Rhotuka power is Fear (when charging, melee range experiences kraata stage 3-4 depending on how long it charges. When struck, it's comparable to stage 7 kraata power) Tools: Black bladed Rhotuka staff. Appearance: Twin spires jut out the top of his head, a nearly featureless pale skull with scarlet photoreceptors and a long, crooked split that looks like a Doom viper's unhinged jaw. His shoulders elongate into long, boney plates over his skeletal arms, and his chest is a ribcage full of smokey, swirling shadow. It's said that if you look close, you can see the souls of his prey forever trapped in his stomach. His legs have a backward structure, more akin to the hind legs of cattle than a toa. Lastly, his whip like tail ends in two jigsaw spikes. Backstory: Created as a protector in the early ages of the GSR, Isolde thought his purpose was over when the Toa were forged. So he waited. And waited. He spent millennia perfecting his powers in the fear that one day the universe might need them again.

Name: Mnemosyne
Alias: The Teacher, Dhakira, Mistress Mnemosyne
Species: 'Toa'
Element: Psionics
Powers: While not necessarily powers, Mnemosyne has extraordinary dexterity and agility, far above normal Toa means, due to ridiculously hard training. She has more strength than the average Toa does, but not anywhere near her agility or dexterity. Kanohi: Mnemosyne wears the Jutlin, Crast and Felnas
Weapons/Tools: Mnemosyne uses a protosteel umbrella, which has little barbs at the edges. It also has a nynrah ghostblaster inside the shaft.
It has a golden shaft, with golden spines, and dark green material in-between the spines.
Appearance: Mnemosyne has an elegant appearance, dainty and frail seeming. Her armor is darkish green, with golden accents. Her eyes are peculiar, being completely milky white. She is fairly tall.
Personality: Manipulative, cunning and devious, Mnemosyne's behavior is quite concerning. She runs a vicious training program, which her sponsors send candidates for. Mnemosyne however is not cruel, and does try and follow the Toa Code as far as she can. She has little tolerance for slackers and disrespect.
Backstory: Mnemosyne's history is shrouded in mystery. What is known is she's old. Unbelievably old, older than Artakha, Karzahni and even Tren Krom. Rumors have it, she was one of the first Toa to exist, EVER. While not the truest, she is still one OF the first. What is known is she is hailed as a hero, and woven into legend in the Tren Krom Peninsula. What is known is that she lives in Karzahni. What is known is that there are reports across the universe of a female Toa of Psionics that has meddled in the affairs of select individuals, and their lives have usually drastically changed after an encounter with her. What is heard, is that even the Makuta of the Tren Krom Peninsula, Toxica, and the Makuta of Karzahni, Crystalia, both fear her enough to leave her alone. That couldn't be possible.. Could it?
Now he crusades across the universe opposing their efforts.
Yes, it's invisible. Highlight the text to read it. I figured it was a nice effect, considering his moral blindness.
Sketch for his appearance. His mask is now eyeless.
