I've done legitimate research, and it's been proven that there is literally no good reason to hate Chima. The only reason people hate it is because other people like it.
Chima has action, adventure, an awesome and complex story, and a fantastic concept. Fabuland is dumb and boring.
Having an opinion doesn't count as legitimate research.
You obviously don't get what I meant. I literally did research to find why people would hate Chima, and there were no good reasons.
I guess that's the exception for the LEGO of Instagram community (which I'm a part of). Most of the people I talk to there say they don't like Fabuland. AFOLs, TFOLs alike.
Huh, that's weird. I always remember reading back in the day how collectible Fabuland stuff was:S.
Adult toy collectors tend to fixate on and heavily desire whatever they don't already own -- even if it's stupid. This is why you keep seeing products like Shopkins and Tsum Tsum. Not because they're particularly good -- but because they prey upon that psychological nagging in your mind that forces you to keep buying more because you don't have the whole collection.
Such is the case with Fabuland. A very weird, seemingly pointless theme, with generic talking animals.
What if I watched the series with initial hopes for the theme and decided after watching it that the characters were very poorly done and the villains' motivations were lacking?
Umm, well IDK, because the characters weren't poorly done and the villains motivations weren't lacking.
1. Yes they were.
2. Cragger had literally no motivation to be evil -- and was being mind controlled by his sister all along. Furthermore -- Cragger's sister was evil for the sake of being evil.

How's THAT for a lack of motivation?
2. I couldn't agree more. In fact, every villain in Chima was a villain just because they were Chi-greedy.
