The Southern Continent was once the home of the Av-Matoran, but any Av-Matoran living here have since been relocated and scattered across the Matoran Universe. It is here that an artifact capable of saving Mata Nui in case of an emergency is hidden, due to its proximity to Karda Nui, which is just below the continent. This continent lies south of the Northern Continent. It is home to a number of "fixed" Matoran who must live in exhile due to having been poorly repaired in Karzahni.

Twenty skakdi materialize here. Seeelk frowns. Nynrah was lost, and Corathe would be furious. He could simply leave - with his power, it was needlessly simple... Seeelk pauses, and comes to a decision. He would report to Corathe, and if she wanted to kill him, he would leave. Simple as that. The skakdi teleport to Zakaz, the light swirling in their absence before popping into a sparse few sparks.
*Kuhtak appears on a random point on the Southern Continent that presumably has no significance of any sort whatsoever.* "Well well well Kuhtak, look what you've gotton yourself into? At least with my mask and shapeshifting I could dissapear from their radar forever, even if they did know of the mask's power." *He ponders that thought for a moment.* "But then where does that leave Brother Avoss?"

Somewhere on the western side of the continent, evidently. -if Kuhtak were to reach out with his Makuta senses.

Makuta Avoss can see the path of the universe around him, the path that surrenders itself to darkness. The Brotherhood has chosen a side, a slave driver. It is his turn. There are many paths, all of which feed into no more then two; Light, and Shadow. Just as you can follow one road for any multitude of reasons, so too can you walk the darkness for good or evil. Makuta Avoss can stand on that protosteel blade's edge and hold an ultimate power in his claws, yet one slip -one heartbeat- can also reflect that power back on him and integrate his soul into its endless mass. This is not the path for Makuta Avoss.
There is only one option left. The way of Light must be the way of Makuta Avoss. He is not meant to elevate himself above the Brotherhood by beating them in their own game, his Duty is to oppose them. A reset has been ordered by reason, by Mata-Nui. The board must be cleansed. Darkness will be illuminated. The Brotherhood shall fall.
Time will be Makuta Avoss's instructor. Dedication and wisdom are the stepping stones to mastery. A hard and difficult path lies ahead, but ascension will become easier when gravity let's go.

*Kuhtak continues to reflect on the recent series of events.* "I can't leave Avoss behind, but at the same time I don't know where he is. Besides, I have the more valuable mask so it makes sense that they would come after me first, so I'm buying him time by not going to find him. But where do I go." *He quickly realizes something.* "Great, I didn't activate my mask so now they can sense my presence." *He activates his mask, preventing any Makuta from sensing his presence, or perhaps sensing it but not noticing it. He then teleports to a random location on the Northern Continent.*

OOC: Avoss was just about to go there. I suppose he'll stay and find some matoran village here. In the mean time...
IC: Makuta Umbraia fades into existence mere bio away from where Kuhtak vanished. She freezes all she sets her eyes on with a collected and sinister gaze. Time drops it's pace around Makuta Umbraia in an effort to preserve the scene. Faint thought patterns flicker in the air. Kuhtak had teleported far away to a place unspecified. It was time for Makuta Umbraia to summon the energy hounds, so she gave a telepathic command to her Hagah.

Makuta Avoss travels a great distance and finds himself in a "Su/Vo-matoran" village, but something about them seems... off. All of the tohunga possess clean minds, as if the perfect staple-life had been given to them in order to replace some horror. It had been done flawlessly, and to the trained eye it might appear as though these matoran had simply lived boring lives, but to the untrained, to Makuta Avoss, there is a secret waiting to be unmasked.
Before he his spotted, the makuta alters his own form to match the locals, favoring the color orange. He is going to stay here, to draw wisdom from these peaceful weaklings. No, they are no inferior. Makuta Avoss had to stop thinking like that. They are equals. "Brothers, might I perhaps stay the night in exchange for work?"
There is no turaga, only a wise villager who has seen better years. She croaks in a wiry voice muffled by interference. "You are a traveler? We have not had a guest for a hundred years. You may stay with ensign Candela, and you need not concern yourself with our duties. Please enjoy yourself, we are blessed to serve you."
Makuta Avoss is supprised. Do they know who he is? Do they know he is a makuta? Impossible. It is nothing but pure hospitality. "I don't mean to intrude..."
"That is considerate, but we want to give you the rest you deserve... do you have a name?"
"Arkav." Avoss replied. The village is full of questions, and something outside of his perception just manages to escape his grasp. He has to investigate. "My name is Arkav."
"Well, 'Arkav,' it's a pleasure to host you. Perhaps one day you will consider returning here, where you will no doubt have sprouted some roots. Allow me to show you to your hut."

Candela glided into his hut and found the visitor. "Hello, traveler. Please, make yourself at home."
The stranger shifted his photoreceptors downward, as if trying to retrieve a dead memory. He fixed his gaze back on the matoran. "To be honest, I have no home. Not anymore. That's why I've been traveling."
Pained curiosity whispered into Candela's responce. "Rahi. We've had a few territorial beast's wandering near our Koro, but nothing our Guardsmen couldn't handle. I'm... sorry you're traveling alone..."
"Yes." The visitor tilted his head upwards similar to a small rahi after hearing a hunting call.. "My place was overrun, and we were too few. One other might have escaped, but I haven't heard from him. There were no other ...survivors."
Struck to the heartlight by the traveler's story, Candela couldn't find any words to say.
"Don't worry about me, you can't change the past, but we can shape our future today."
Candela forced a smile before thing to transition between topics. "Then maybe you'll consider staying."
"Maybe." The stranger said. "Good night."
"Night." The Matoran rolled out his own mat and prepared for his relaxing slumber.

There is no rest for a makuta on the run. There is no rest for Makuta Avoss. He had heard that many of the others have evolved past the need for slumber while he himself was still almost completely organic. He is tired, but he stays awake for fear of the Brotherhood finding him.
There is only one thing he could do to pass the time. Think. Makuta Avoss occupies himself by submersing his mind in the deep waters of morality and of Destiny. What is his purpose? He knows that one already. He is the only hope of salvation for the universe. He will put an end to the Brotherhood. What must be done to accomplish that fate? Avoss has to align himself with his inner Light. He must chose the right thing over the selfish thing. Does that include leaving the village, not bringing special attention to these matoran? That is a good question. Avoss -no, Arkav- dances from one train of thought to another, counting their many shipping containers and naming them all.
In the morning, Arkav will find some way to selflessly contribute to this Koro. After his deed, he will be on his way to prevent a calling of unnecessary wrath upon the innocent.
