Inharax remains unimpressed by the dramatic display. "Get on with it."
Kratark dissipates into smoke once more before resettling onto an empty chair in the Convocation hall.
"So this is The Brotherhood then? ...Not at all what I was expecting, in all honesty."
Kratark seated himself casually on this seat, his pervasive stare continuing to drift from Makuta to Makuta, scrutinizing each one, seeming to make mental notes about each of them.
"Hmm. You are either very foolish, or you simply do not care. Because none of you have questioned my presence here. How quaint. I also cannot help but notice... that you are not afraid."
He gave a moment's pause, again affixing his brutal stare onto several of the Makuta in the room.
"I must wonder..." he paused for a brief moment, still wary of the beings that were probably about to be his new peers. "why that is not the case. But no matter -- I am here because I was made to be here. Who is in charge? And more importantly: where am I, Makuta Kratark that is, to be of use here? It isn't every day you're suddenly created, and only given one cryptic command before being sent along into a new life."
Landix leans forward in his chair, eager to see what Inharax responds.

Ornirax materializes in the Convocation hall and sits down in his chair. "Brother Inharax. I did not expect to see you here in your rightful place again." He acknowledges the other Makuta with a nod, and turns to Kratark.
{Telepathic Message for Kratark - Click to read} "What in blazes are you doing here? I don't remember seeing you before."
After dispensing with the pleasantries, Ornirax stands.
"Brothers, I have recently been struck with an idea. Some of you may dismiss it as insane, or impossible. But some of you may see the potential in this scheme. While on Zakaz, the idea of seizing control of the ultimate power in the universe came upon me, and it intrigued me. After further thought, I have decided to attempt this plan whether alone or with the aid of my brothers.

"I am going to overthrow Mata Nui."
OOC: What do you mean "again"? Inharax has always been leader of the Brotherhood -- he's not new news and another thing -- we cannot be talking about rebellion yet for one thing -- Kratark hasn't served for long enough to have Toa Hagah yet -- and if you rebel right now -- you've just retconned 4 of my characters.

Ornirax shakes his head as if clearing his mind. He stares at Kratark for a moment, narrows his eyes, and sits back down.
Suddenly, he frowns. "Excuse me for a moment. My authority on Zakaz has been challenged." He disappears.
Inharax stares blankly at the stupidity that unfolds and callously glares as Ornirax takes his leave. He snaps his venomous gaze to the newly-arrived Makuta when Ornirax is gone. "Name yourself," he commanded, "and explain why Mata Nui did not create you when he created us."

{Telepathic Message for Inharax - Click to Read} I am sincerely sorry for to way I have acted before you and the rest of the Makuta. What I said was madness, and not even the most insane being would listen to such counsel. I will not be returning to the Convocation for the time being, as I have other plans.

"I... already have named myself."
Kratark scrutinizes Inharax, narrowing his gaze at the scientist and wondering wether he's just not too bright, or if he isn't even paying attention.
"Your other question intrigues me, however. Because after the manner of my creation -- I assumed that the Great Beings made all the Makuta. Not just me." OOC: Reactions should vary but I'm expecting at least someone in this room to be very shocked at this revelation

OOC: I've played this character for eight years. I know how to write for him. His insanity doesn't manifest in the form of normal conversation very often. His ideas, goals, and scientific experiments are insane, not his tone of voice. It's often difficult IRL to determine insanity without probing into their deeper thoughts and feelings.

Inharax blinks a few times, recollecting Kratark's earlier statement. "Ah, that is right." He briefly reconsiders his position in this conversation, which is diminishing too rapidly for his tastes.
That is when Kratark speaks again. He was no creation of Mata Nui: he was an ... an abomination added by the Great Beings, as if they felt that the Brotherhood was not sufficient without him. "You mean to say that you do not know that we were created by Mata Nui?"

Voidarix visibly stiffened, the small stone nearly falling out of his hand. Once given a moment to process what he had just heard, his eyes narrowed. Pressing his hands against the table, he stood up, glancing at Kratark.

"Well jeez! Search me! All he said was: 'Go now, Makuta Kratark. You are to serve alongside your kin' -- I mean, what are you supposed to say to that? The guy never mentioned Mata Nui. As far as I knew -- I wasn't a special case."
Kratark suddenly realizes that he is on the defensive, but does nothing to correct it. He knows that the sooner he answers Inharax's questions -- the sooner he'll be given orders, and everyone in the room can move on.
