*On the barren planet of Geonosis... a blue portal appears in the sky!*
*Quite a few people and droids tumble out of it, including a human in bronze and green armor (Viridian), a tall human in black armor (Darth Fun), a BX-Commando (Catalyst) and an astromech (R3-J0).*
*OOF OW OUCH YOW HEY BOING SQUAWK*
*Viridian works his way to the top of the dog pile:*
"Well, here we are. Might have been a smoother trip, though. At least we got all the - "
*Some billions of doughnuts pour out of the portal.*
Viridian: "Well... not much around here, is there? I mean, you can't build an HQ out of doughnuts, as much as Darth Fun here would like that."
*Darth Fun chooses not to reply because his mouth is stuffed with doughnuts. Suddenly, out of the portal overhead, a whole Lucrehulk-class battleship comes bearing down on them!*
Viridian: "Hit the doughnuts!"
*They all dive for cover in the pile of doughnuts. The Lucrehulk shoots overhead and smashes into the ground, causing massive shockwaves. It finally careens to a halt, half-buried in the dusty earth. A whole Lucrehulk, filled with supplies and raw materials, perfect for transforming into a base...*
*Viridian looks up, shrugs, and grins at the others.*
Seriously - wow! It's been how long? Years? How did you find this place? It's great to see you again!
Yeah, life's been treating me just fine! College is rolling along and I've got a job lined up.
I was there when Keplers and friends made this place. Never really left the LMBs, was hanging out in a couple other forums. But yeah, nice to talk to you again, it has been a long while.
That's good to hear. I should be hopefully graduating college in the summer. No, I'm not that old. I was on a program where I was set to get my degree in under two years. Some set backs so for me more like 2.25 years.
I've been in for some time. I'm taking things a bit slower and doing part-time. My family is big and my parents need help a lot.
Good luck on your end. What are you majoring in?
Ah, okay. The speed plan I was on was also cut college costs by......Well, a lot. Not sure by what percentage though. I'll be getting a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Computer Information Systems. I was heading for a BS in Computer Science, but that course proved to be too expensive. Might head back to get it later though.
Have you decided what degree you're going for or just doing the basics for now before deciding on anything?
I'm heading for a Bachelor's degree in History. I'm trying to get certified to teach it for high school. I'm a bit of a modern history nut.
Sounds like a really technical field that you're going into. Does it come naturally to you?
Not really, but most of the stuff I've needed to know thus far has been business and finance related knowledge. Which also doesn't come naturally to me, but it's at least a start towards the direction I want to head towards. My main goal is to eventually become a video game developer, but for now getting a degree that will, in theory, land me a job very quickly to gain experience is a bit more important for now. Can't keep doing this inconsistent work of landscaping, lawncare, and jack-of-all-trades jobs.
Though history does come naturally to me. Memorization of history, theology, philosophy, and some psychology comes most natural. All the classes I've taken in these areas leave much to be desired though, considering I was more advanced in Theology and Philosophy before I was even in highschool in comparison to what these classes were offering.
Have your classes thus far been boring, interesting, or fine for you?
Video game developing? Awesome! Any idea what you'd like to make?
Many, many ideas. One of the mains ones is to develop more Christian games and/or games promoting Christian values. Unsurprisingly, there aren't many Christian games and although a bit more, though still few, games promoting Christian morals or ideals. Most of the ones that exist are puzzles or quizzes, not really something the general public would buy. I guess something more or less along the lines of being the Veggie Tales/Big Ideas equivalent of video games.
Of course, not exclusively games in that area though. Given the way I typically write and do things, there's nothing I can make that won't have my faith be a significant part in its creation, but not all of them will push the faith agenda. In particular the one floating around in my mind lately involves making something more true to Star Wars: Battlefront than the latest version. But it has expanded so much that I doubt even with a large team and five years it wouldn't be finished. But, yeah, lots of different gaming genres.

Yeah, so my post didn't go through. Anyways I totally agree with you and these sound like awesome ideas.

So I noticed. Thanks. I would go into a lot more specifics instead of being so vague, but all my business and law classes have made me somewhat paranoid.
