Yeah, that was not at all what we got. I was not very thrilled at all. I was realizing the third movie had very few named character casualties, which I think was another problem. They don't realize the best of the Jurassic series is when it's treated like a monster movie. Building up tension rather than everything being an action scene. For all it's faults at least Fallen Kingdom had some very tense and well-constructed Indoraptor moments.
Dr. Wu absolutely should've met his end by now. Especially given the whole series theme of the hubris of man flying too close to the sun and getting burnt. He's been around for far too many movies, especially considering he doesn't even survive in the first Jurassic Park book.
Yeah, they needed to revisit the first. I don't know what JW 3 was even supposed to be, it wasn't really action, it wasn't a thriller, it was kind of just a failed nostalgia attempt and tying up loose ends.
I totally agree! Was he even in the third? I can't remember. They were setting him up for something it felt like. I really did not want to see a redemption arc for him.

Oh I am so down for that, despite how ridiculous that would've been. We all know who would've won, too. Okay honestly, it really couldn't be any worse than the actual movie. Of course. It'd be hard to think of something less entertaining than the actual movie. I can think of many things worse, but they probably would've still been more entertaining.

He was, but he didn't do much. Fallen Kingdom made it seem like he'd finally have his big breakout moment as the real antagonist which would've been awesome but then they lost the plot. There's a serious suggestion for fixing JW 3: Wu as the main antag where at the very end he finally faces the consequences of his actions throughout the series.

TheGreatCon it would be awesome if now that the gang's back we did a big co-write story that's a re-imagining of JW 3, although idk if we could get that level of investment here anymore.

As much as I've been itching to write another story, I probably can't commit now, I'm posting on my work breaks and I don't think I can write a story in ten minute increments.

Yeah, that's what we all wanted was a good conclusion.
Apparently so if I've forgotten he was in it entirely. I like that idea, maybe something about him cooking up another atrocity and it backfiring on him and humanity? Instead of locusts, something cool this time.

At least a bad movie can have its fans if its fun, but no one likes a boring movie. Granted JW3 was also a financial success so idk if studios are getting that concept.

Same here, I'm overextended on like a half dozen side projects, one of which is already an actual creative writing thing. It's a lot better than my past stuff for sure (and a few characters are even loosely inspired by LMB people ).

Dare I suggest the original JP4 plot of dinosaur-human hybrids? Imagine like a squad of Space Marine Lizard People.

Yep, except make Grant and Sattler kiss, which was upsetting.
That would be memorable. What dinosaur would you want to be a hybrid of Qui?
