The LEGO City Jungle sets (which I personally have been very hyped for) have been revealed at a German toy fair!!
I will cover all the interesting stuff below:
- There is a new big cat mold, used for a panther and a jaguar
- There is an tarantula mold, bigger than the old spider mold
- There is a new venus fly trap mold, that it looks like has some sort of snapping function
- The biggest set includes a crashed plane, which looks really cool.
- The starter set looks really nice, with a snake, alligator, and a frog.
- There are some very Indiana Jones-like ruins, including one with a falling bolder.
- It looks like there is a new kayak mold and a new machete mold.
- There are soooo many yellow vehicles. Way more than you'd realistically need to explore a jungle. But at least the vehicles are cool, I'm only saying setting up a diorama with all of them would looks pretty weird.
Anyway, I'm pretty hyped. I will roobably get multiples of the starters set, and the set with the panther too!
Ignore everything I say, to the best of your ability.
I haven't seen them. Hopefully they will be on Brickset soon:). Even so, I'm not that excited. What does "jungle" have to do with "city"? They are like opposites:S:P!

They aren't official images yet, just toy fair photographs
Yeah, I agree, it's weird, but I don't really care what theme the subtheme belongs to as long as the sets are cool. Honestly they look much more like the old LEGO Adventures sets than city.

Really:O?! I LOVED ADVENTURERS:D! I might actually get some then if this is true:D! I have LOVED every LEGO adventure theme from Adventurers to Orient Expedition to Indiana Jones to Pharaoh's Quest:). Still waiting on the next one, sadly I might have to wait until the new Indy movie comes out in 2019:(.

They seem to be going for a realistic adventures vibe, with crashed planes, ancient ruins, and unique wildlife.
Google 'LEGO City Jungle 2017' to find the images.
Also I liked Pharoah's quest too, but I'm too young to remember many other Adventure themes.

I saw some of them, look so cool:O! I want the crashed plane set! I have all the Pharaoh's Quest sets besides the pyramid, which was ironically the one I wanted the most. I was gonna get it, but it retired when I was going to ask for it for Christmas:(. You don't remember Indy? Indy was great, especially if you loved the movies like me:D! Raiders is probably my favorite movie ever:O!

Yes, the sets do look surprisingly awesome! I was getting really into LEGOs just as the Indy theme was dying, so no.

I don't care what it has to do with city. I have been wanting lego to go back to the basics and do something similar to the adventurer line forever!!! I am so hyped.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.

That's too bad, Indy was a GREAT theme, despite being licensed. It was actually the last licensed theme I liked. I have like half the sets. I also beat both video games on both DS and PS2/Wii to 100%!

You have seen the first Jurassic Park though, right? That is one of the best movies ever, and also has the best movie soundtrack ever:D! The next 2 movies were pretty good but not great. Jurassic World was great though:D!
