Yeah, unfortunately proboards say it's taken (even though that forum was deleted)... :/ It would be brick.proboards.com It's not bad, but the 'pro' makes it sound like we're cheap.
Great, I'll add that to the list!
Also, great to have you back!
I should hope you could appeal that or something, but hey, too bad.
And I agree about that, and it's not as good as brick.boards.net, but it's something!
Also, I hope to stay back.
We'll try to work on it. Fingers crossed they'll be able to do something but I wouldn't put money on it...
Aw, I liked the "Eternal" in the title. Made it seem like a "sequel" site; LMB ---> LMBE. Oh well.
Yes, it might be sad to see it go, but we think it's probably for the better. Hopefully we'll start seeing more new users come here!
Yes. I suppose the reality is that most of the members from the LMBs are either already here, inactive, or don't have the time to be on the LMBEs. So it's probably best to sacrifice the ''Eternal'' bit in order to get new members on here.
In the shadow of the theme release, a few changes will be taking place over the next few days/weeks.
2 of these things are 1. Changing the URL of the forum, and 2. Changing our 'brand'.
Changing our URL
Due to the fact that we have 'Lego' in our URL means that we cannot receive any official (or unofficial) support from other lego-based organisations such as bricklink. However, rather than just let the staff decide what the new URL should be, we've decided to let you join in by having a week of suggestions and putting them into a big poll in which you'll all be able to vote for your top 2 favorite options. We're doing 2 votes a person in case a suggested name is already taken, in which case the winner will be the 2nd choice. As part of our 're-branding' we are also removing ‘Eternal’ from our name, because this means absolutely nothing to any new users and would probably be a bit confusing/weird.
The current suggestions that the staff have come up with are: brick.boards.net, community-brick.boards.net and brickcomminity.boards.net
Please bear in mind that we have to keep the "boards.net" as this is a restriction of the system we work on, please keep 'Lego' out of suggestions as well.
Please post your suggestions down below, and depending on how many quality suggestions we get, the poll will be on this topic on Saturday the 2nd of May and will run for a week!
Changing our Name
I think we can all agree that having a name that correlates to our URL is probably best if the voted URL isn't generic. For example, if our URL was changed to brick.boards.net or any of the URLs listed above then we would obviously change our name to "Brick Message Boards." If the URL you guys vote for has a number of possible names to go with it then we may have another vote on that subject, but that will remain to be seen.
So make sure that you include a name as well as URL suggestion when you post below!
That about wraps everything up, if you have any questions about the theme or about the changes, you can go to the Theme Release Discussion or Talk to the Staff respectively.
Happy posting!
UPDATE A bit of an annoying update, it seems brick.boards.net is unavailable to use...
The only way it can be freed up is if proboards will do a quick clean of their delete URLs.
So it remains possible but we'll have to see, in the mean time please post more suggestions!

Could we have "LMB" in the URL? For example could it just be lmbeternal.boards.net?
That sounds like a good URL (also, let the record show I support this) but I'm pretty sure we have to take out all references to the word LEGO, and also they were wanting to change the name of the site and remove the "Eternal" part.
Oh, I guess if we're changing the name as well then that wouldn't work. Oh, well.

Just say which ones we've suggested you support (like your top three) so when voting comes we vote on the top ones. (Because with all the suggestions we're getting, if we voted on all of them it'd be like choosing from 50 of them. )
I like the playwell.boards.net one as well as the community-brick.boards.net and brickcomminity.boards.net ones. The only thing about playwell.boards.net is some people might not get it and will be confused. Idk lol

I also do really like community-brick.boards.net/ because the url on LMB was community.lego.com
I'm sad to see the Eternal go, but I agree it's for the best if the site's membership is to grow.
There are already a ton of great names, so I won't throw anything new in. Fellowshipofthebrick.boards.net and community-brick.boards.net are my personal favourites. Bricksociety.boards.net is not a bad option, either.
If brick.boards.net were to become available, I suppose it would be the simplest option, although I find that "brick boards" sounds a tad short and slightly harsh when uttered on its own, and would therefore support one of the alternatives.

Well, I guess it could be Brick boards or brick message boards.
