Happy (almost) Valentine's Day!
I was thinking it might be fun to have another voting topic, this time where y'all choose the best Disney couple. Once again, I was kind of vague with the word "best," but that's up to your interpretation.
You might have several choices -- maybe you think one couple is the cutest, but not overall the best in terms of character development and how they help each other to grow in the movie. Just try to narrow it down in some way and formulate a quick somewhat-explanatory reason why they're your choice.
Anyway, that's about it; I'll put my answer down below. I have no idea when I'll announce the results for this one...so yeah.
LordTigress Gnuehchcaz RomeNZ TheGreatCon Essa Kryze Naomi @electricsunset1217 people who might want to vote..?
Being predictable here, but my vote would have to be TheGreatConpunzel Simba and Nala. Aside from the fact I'm a die-hard TLK fangirl, that's not the only reason. Whereas I'll admit some of the Disney couples do lack a bit of, er, context to their relationship (albeit they're still cute ), this is not one of them. These two didn't have the brief meet-and-fall-in-love scene you might think of when Disney comes to mind, but were actually best buddies as cubs, and went on to raise two of their own cubs together later on. Their personalities balance each other out, and they have a more complex relationship than can be said for some of the others. XD Not that I'm bashing any of the couples from Disney's more classical approach, don't get me wrong. Ooh, fun idea!
I should've guessed it. xD I agree, Simba and Nala are probably one of the greatest Disney couples in history because of their strong history and relationship. :3 If you couldn't guess it...uh...I guess hang around me for a few more weeks? XD But yes, our reasoning is validated. Strongest relationship above any other Disney ship. :3
Or maybe I'm just reading too many fanfics.

Rapunzel and Eugene/Flynn Rider are probably my favorite. They have such funny dialogue that's entertaining to watch, precious development in their characters, and while having some of the greatest romance scenes in Disney history ("At Last I See the Light", Flynn dying, etc.), they also kind of break the stereotype for Disney couples. Instead of a prince, Rapunzel's hero turns out to be a thief wanted by the kingdom--definitely not a traditional Disney move. xD Plus, their first meeting involved Rapunzel knocking Flynn out with a frypan, stuffing him in a wardrobe, and then tying him to a chair and bribing him to help her get what she wants. Also not very traditional. Plus, again, the scene where Flynn is dying but he sacrifices himself for Rapunzel's freedom by cutting her hair with some of his final breaths. . . brick. O.O
I ship it. Yesss, they're so cute! *suddenly cringes and glances around nervously* But what about... *leans over to whisper in your ear*
CONPUNZEL?

Aw, yeah, Simba and Nala are so cute and their relationship is unique. My favorite is either them (Simba and Nala), Mulan and Shang or TheGreatConpunzel is my favorite. Nice, Mulan and Shang have a cute and funny love story as well. And yes, we can't leave out Disney's newest addition.

Does anime count as Disney? Please. Nnnnnnno
Although I just researched Studio Ghibli and I guess that would count as both anime and Disney.

I dunno....the first one that came to mind was Lady and the Tramp but I dunno if that one's the best...
(It took me three times of typing that same sentence to make this work... XP) Well, they certainly are cute. :3 Are they your favorite?
(Relatable. XD)

I think Carl and Ellie have the best character development in the 8 minutes of romance they had. They lived throughout so many challenges and suffered through so many hardships (Like the damages on their house, realizing they can't have kids, etc. ) and their relationship was still so faithful to each other, even if they didn't get to live their dream of visiting Paradise Falls. They're like one of the perfect model for couples everywhere. :3Agreed. I think that kind of tops all the other couples in terms of realism and strength.

They were adorable together. :3 Definitely a model couple and more realistic then in a lot of movies because they did go through hardships.Definitely agreed, and they were quite difficult hardships too.

Yus. So beautiful. I didn't even watch the whole movie, but that part really stuck. You need to see the rest of the movie. It's very good.
