I think it would be fine, since the lore and past character companions have been talking animals. My only concern is are they anthropomorphic (Having human like qualities) or are they just a normal animal that talks?

No, not as main characters. They could be a companion but not a characters. It could make things complicated and confusing, adding a layer that is confusing. Then you get things like capturing, hunting, and extreme size differences to consider. It's alright in small amounts but I think official/main characters should be mostly humanoid.

I'm afraid you are not on the FAC right now and do not have a vote. Once you join an HQ, you may have the opportunity to become a member of the FAC, depending on how your HQ runs it. Only then would you have a vote.
