A few days ago, several gaming news sites posted that sources are reporting that this most recent Dimensions wave has been its last. I'm not really surprised about this. The toys-to-life genre has been falling out of fashion for a while now. Disney Infinity ended in 2015/16, and Skylanders doesn't have a new entry this year. However, I'm still upset that we didn't get the full three years of content that we were promised. Also, we never got a conclusion to the cliffhanger ending. (This seems to be common for LEGO, remember Hero Factory?) What are you guys' thoughts on this decision?

I'm not surprised. The only franchise in Year 2 that I liked was Sonic. Everything else wasn't very exciting... It seems the only figure chain left standing (And therefore the winner of the Toys to Life race.) are the Amiibo. Being a Nintendo fan, that's fine with me.

People are assuming things just because just2good said it. Now everyone has made themselves believe its ending. Dont believe everything you read.

I have never gotten into Amiibo but they seem to be doing pretty good. If Nintendo made an Amiibo Pokemon game that would sell like hotcakes. I want to see a Nintendo Toys-to-life game on the Nintendo Switch. I think the lego game I will be playing a lot is Lego Worlds, probably not dimensions as I never got a chance to play it. (I have played Skylanders Swap Force and that game was pretty good actually though limited in terms of how far you can get with a few characters)

Lemme know when Sega does the exact same thing and claims its better an amiibo-like figure with blast processing... now THAT would be revolutionary.

Most Toys to Life figures use NFC technology I believe.
