Planet: Earth Location: New York City, USA Type: Large tower, news provider Description: Also known as DBC, this is where New York gets it's news. DBC provides news in the form of broadcast, websites, newspapers, but mostly a massive TV screen in the middle of town, broadcasting a massive image of J. Jonah Jameson calling Spider-Man a menace.
Owned by: J. Jonah Jameson
Other notes: >This topic is one of two news topics, where the owners write out news reports about the roleplay. The other news topic is the Daily Planet, owned by Perry White. >Not much actual roleplaying is done here, so if you can, please avoid doing so.
I will do the majority of news posts here, weekly on Sundays. If you can avoid chatting and RPing here, it would be very much appreciated.
Of course, you can post news here too. Just make sure it follows this format:

Feel free to copy and paste that so it looks the best. If you want, use the logo too. I won’t, but you can. Make sure to use accurate grammar, spelling, use of punctuation, etc. Oh and one more thing. NO BIAS. Unless it’s a story about Spider-Man. Then by all means call him a menace.
That hat being said, let’s start! Nothing to report on now, so I’ll leave it at that.

Batman Sighted The protector of Gotham, Batman, and his sidekick Robin have been sighted in Gotham City. The nature of their activities was unknown, but it is assumed that they were protecting Gotham from crime, as usual.

Darkseids Dark Side. Darkseids invasion of Metropolis rages on. However, there are developments. His ship, with Psycho Pirate and Ezekiel on it, crashed into a small building, under fire from the Milano. The Flash has tried to fight Darkseid. Further, Pyro and The Talon have been seen trying to fight his army of Parademons.
Shock at the Dock! In New York, an old, weary ship drifted into port. It’s only occupant, a smashed Minifig, with only flesh and bones. Eyewitnesses reported it looking like the life had been sucked out of it. An elderly man was seen by a harbour worker running into the streets, and it is thought that he and the boat are connected. Citizens with information as to this mans whereabouts are urged to call 911 immediately.
To Kill A Raven. Also in New York, a Raven was spotted, an unusual occurance for this time of year. A similar bird, presumed to be the same, was seen landing in a gutter.
This Means War! Our rivals at The Daily Planet have recently resumed operations. They have also committed an act of corporate slander against us, The Daily Bugle, in their first newspaper published. Fortunately for them, we decided not to pursue legal action, though relations remain icy.
The Dynamic Trio? In our last publication, we stated that Batman and Robin had been sighted in Gotham. Now, they have been seen talking to another costumed person. The identity of this, third addition to the group, is yet unknown.
OOC Articles:
Roll call! Roll call! A call was sounded to all RPers on Monday. Whoever doesn’t state their activity shall be expelled from S.H.A.R.P. and lose all of their RPCs. This call was made by none other than the dashing, Ciar08, member of the RCC, and owner of this fine newspaper.

Superman Returns! The Superman has returned to face the villains threatening Metropolis. However the situation has gotten worse without him. A ragtag group of heroes including Star-Lord, Ezekiel, Superboy, Thor, The Flash and a minor appearance by Wolverine have seemingly tired the villains. The ones invading include Darkseid, Thanos, Zoom, Sinestro and Doctor Doom. A full evacuation has been ordered and the U.S. Government is considering destroying Metropolis to defeat the villains. The Avengers are reportedly also responding to the threat. Also, several known villains have been sighted combating the onslaught. Psycho Pirate, a Talon of the Court of Owls, Pyro and others have been seen fighting against the army of Parademons that have been plaguing the streets of Metropolis.
(Not) Spider-Man! A person was seen in New York swinging from rooftops. This is a regular occurance since the first appearance of the public enemy Spider-Man, but this is a new one. Unfortunately, photos couldn’t be obtained by our own photographers but a freelance photographer has attempted to sell some to us. These photos can be seen on page 10.
Batman? In Gotham City, the Batman was sighted on a rooftop stating the fact that he is, indeed, Batman. However, Batman was also seen on another rooftop with his sidekick, Robin, at the same time, conversing with a child with fangs wearing a cosplay. Does this mean that there is other Batpeople (Batmans? Batmen?) at large? Or is someone impersonating the Batman? Maybe Batman is just omnipresent. Who knows?
Zoom! Zoom! In our first article in this issue we mentioned that Zoom was helping to invade Metropolis and was fighting The Flash. Well, he ran off and Flash chased him. They were both later seen in Central City running towards S.T.A.R. Labs, home of a particle accelerator that famously exploded. Could Zoom be trying to reactivate the machine? Only time and our fine newspaper will be able to tell!
Desperado! The Daily Planet are so desperate to keep up with our dazzling establishment that, in an article involving the legal incident between our businesses, they used horrendous ice puns on 3 occasions in 2 sentences. For that they deserve a serious PUNishment. Seriously. This is slander.
All Out War! The situation in Metropolis has escalated. Buildings are being destroyed. Lives are being lost. Yet one man, who will remain unnamed, has the courage to enter the city and rent an apartment. Such bravery. Anyway, many heroes and many villains have been fighting. A glove believed to be the legendary Infinity Gauntlet has been shattered by Superman, Batman and his friends have been seen fighting a robot, X-Man Wolverine was seen fighting fruitlessly against the Dark Phoenix, and yet more villains have arrived on the scene. We can only hope that this conflict will end soon.
Smashing! Two smashed minifigs were found in a hotel room in New York. They were first seen by a maid coming to deliver room service. The maid also reported a man in a hoodie with facial protection asking about the smashings. The smashings seem all to similar to the Minifig found at the dock 2 weeks ago. A full investigation is underway and anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately, for a $1,000 reward.
Hide and Seek!? The Daily Planet failed to publish an article this week. With so much going on, it’s hardly likely they were deprived of news stories. It is presumed that the editing staff were too busy reading the Daily Bugle to make an article. Hardly professional.
Staff job? The Daily Bugle is looking for a photographer. Qualifications include: Must be adept at photography. Must be able to take pictures of wall-crawling web-slinging menaces. Prior experience is not necessary but looked upon favourably. We have received one application so far, from one of our freelance photographers, but maybe we can change that!
