OOC: The 3000 character limit was added a few weeks ago, and I'm glad it was. I changed my username and avatar recently. Felt like I might as well finally change it up, and there's a meme wherein a picture of a shoebill stork will be accompanied by the naming convention, "The [letter]".
IC: Eris and Edessa, after likely remaining cautiously silent due to hearing about the listening devices (maybe earlier than Leonard did) see the former Lion Sect leader depart from the Forgotten's regional HQ with Galvanor's army, returning to Eagle Spire.
OOC: Side note; I keep picturing the landing pad where Leonard and Galvanor arrived as being at the bottom of a large hole in the ground, with grass all around on the surface (but not covering the hole), and the landing strip going into a tunnel that leads to a Forgotten base built both underground and above ground.
As the Eagle Army recovers, Galvanor is annoyed upon hearing about Set-Ra/Winslow's defection and relinquishing of the "fire chi tax".
Galvanor: "So that's how it is... It seems I had misunderstood 'Winslow'. I should've treated him as more of an equal."
In the throne room, Galvanor radios the Wolves.
Galvanor: "Lobo, are you there? Let's meet back up at--"
Wol'jin: "Greetings, Wolf President Wol'jin here. Unfortunately for you, Your Majesty, my usurper has, in fact, willingly stepped down and remembered where his real loyalties lie. The Wolves' alliance with you was but a footnote in history."
The gryphon slams the radio down.
Galvanor: "DA[RN] IT ALL! Winslow and Lobo, I'll wipe you two from the face of this planet along with the Rays!"
He slumps in his throne and thinks.
Galvanor: "I can... still salvage this. The Sabertooths have a fleet, don't they? I'll get the Ice Hunters to join Primordium, yes. Or we'll join them, whichever they prefer... The Eagles have never directly fought the Hunters, so we're already on decent footing, and we have a common enemy in the Chima Alliance and Unichi. Maybe we can take their fleet straight to the west, and ambush the Empire. That's right, the Rays would have no way of having fire chi, surely. So the Ice Hunters' powers would surprise and crush them just like the Crawler Empire. It'll be so much easier to bomb their continent, and all of their colonies, to ash once they're frozen."
Galvanor chuckles, and reflects: "Lycor, Wol'jin, Winslow, and all the other arrogant aristocrats of this era probably think they've defeated me now. They didn't account for me allying with the Hunters. I'm surprised I didn't think of this sooner. I wasted my time trying to appeal to these high-and-mighty Phoenix and inland tribes, trying to give them all a second chance despite them betraying me 819 years ago... Now I realize who my real allies should've been all along. I used to be an 'Ice Hunter' myself, after all, and I owe my revival in this era to the Mammoth King and Prince. Although that Lyrix had a Fire Wing Harness, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before those inland hypocrites initiate an Illumination, and presumably remove elemental powers from Chima, maybe even reset the universe as Faerin had claimed all those years ago, so I better move quickly. No matter what happens afterward, I will wipe out the Rays. That is my only mission, and my prerogative, even. Right... Father?"
Galvanor sends eagles north to negotiate with the Hunters. He also assigns Leonard and the old but experienced Eagle General Enoch [introduced as "Councilor #2" on page 100 of this topic]*Gorilla General Gen Kai Shek, who's still living with the Eagles, as his two Supreme Commanders, to somewhat replace Winslow and Lobo.
Now, Enoch and Leonard talk as they walk into one of the Eagle Spire's many hangars, where an old gorilla mech is being refueled and touched up. The cyborg eagle, both his arms replaced with powerful prosthetic metal arms after a fight some three decades ago, had been taught how to pilot the gorilla mech by Gen Kai Shek, the Gorilla General who'd once lived in Eagle Spire before recently leaving.
Enoch: "Thank you for agreeing to this, even though you're more experienced with aircraft. It's a shame General Gen Kai Shek is no longer aligned with the Eagles, but I wanted to pass on the knowledge that he'd passed on to me, nevertheless."
Leonard: "Of course, but... I'm worried about how outnumbered we are. Primordium is no more, unless His Majesty can recruit more tribes to our side. The Eagles alone can't hope to defeat the Manta Ray Empire, right?"
Enoch: "That is true, but I'm sure his highness is planning a solution. He always is. You see, I'm the only eagle who knew 'Erdrik' was Galvanor from the very beginning."
Leonard: "What??"
Enoch: "Indeed. He sought me out after coming to Eagle Spire with fire chi, and we met in the library. I agreed to help him save Chima from the Manta Ray Empire, and so I also helped to retrieve Erdrik's mask from the museum."
Leonard: "I see, so you must've convinced the other Eagles he was Erdrik as well."
Enoch: "Correct. We had been devoid of a King who would take action for some time, and his knowledge of our western adversaries cannot be overlooked... in addition to him being the true heir to the throne, of course."
They reach the hangar.
Enoch: "Now, I will teach you how the Gorillas pilot their unique mechs."
*OOC: Speaking of that post on page 100, I'd gotten some things wrong there, such as King Erdrik having been King Elrond's son (he was his brother), and Elrond having been the one to forge the battle mask (it was Erdrik who forged it for himself).

From afar watches Eliaphet, wrapped in a cloak matching the bleak darkness surrounding her. The night held a few stars, causing the creature to stir within. She thought to herself. "I have yet to return to your hallowed halls once again. My maps await a proper home." Throwing a stone upward, she catches it and shakes her head with a smile. "Why do I do the things I do?"
The blurred image of the distant Spires fade as she departs for the Rhino HQ.

Now, some time later, the gorilla mech runs swiftly through the open plains of the Eagle lands, arms hitting the ground first like how the Gorillas ran before their chi evolution. The mech skids to a halt, digging a few giant metal fingers into the dirt to do so. To many, such a way of stopping would've looked sloppy and messy, but any experienced mech pilot would recognize it as an expert maneuver. The "chest" of the headless mech opens, and a lion's upper body pops out. Enoch, observing from above, flies down and alights on the shoulder of the mech as Leonard climbs out, sitting atop the machine.
Enoch: "Excellent, you're a faster learner than I was. Probably because you've had some experience with large wheeled land vehicles, which are more like mechs than aircraft are, though still very different."
Leonard: "I thank you for your tutelage, Enoch. Controlling the mech did feel very strange at first, since I'm more used to piloting jets, but I've gotten used to it."
The cyborg eagle laughs.
Enoch: "That's exactly what I said when Gen Kai Shek taught me. You remind me of him, Leonard; not an eagle, but loving these lands and our Spire as much as any Eagle citizen. I realized you were the perfect person to teach this skill to as soon as we were made dual Supreme Commanders."
Leonard: "Regardless of being in the sky or on the ground, it feels good to have this wind in my mane again. How I missed my homeland... Though details of my past are hazy, I know I was born here. The Eagle land is beautiful."
Enoch: "And this beauty, we will protect... until all of our enemies are rendered unable to do harm to our land."
Leonard: "W-well, let's not disregard opportunities to negotiate, and end our conflicts peacefully..."
Enoch shakes his head.
Enoch: "That's right, you're still young... You'll come to realize, Leonard, that there are times when such opportunities never occur, when negotiation is impossible, and when we must protect our home by any means necessary. That's what His Highness Galvanor told me when he warned me about the Manta Ray Empire, though I already knew that truth."
Leonard: "Right..."
The lion looks out over the plains, reminding himself of the land he's going to great lengths to protect, as necessary...
In a small cell carved from the rock beneath the Spire, lit only by a barred window, a single Eagle sits cross-legged on the floor. He has clearly seen better days; his plumage is tattered and unkempt, feathers that once gleamed white now discoloured by dirt and old straw from the floor. The Eagle is clad in a worn garment that was once a sort of robe. Its pure white fabric is barely recognisable, but twisting patterns of woven gold gleam in the faint ray of sunlight.
He had stood on the brink of greatness; chair of the Eagle Council and interim leader of the tribe. But that was all cut short when he fell into a coma , waking to find that a king had returned. A king who was no true eagle. A king who had thrown Ewinus into a cell, along with all those suspected of disloyalty to the new regime.
Every day, he wanted to scream at his confinement; his wings itched to fly, to soar through the clear skies of Chima, not to hover in a cell, wings brushing against cold stone walls. He could barely remember how many months he has spent in this place, and would have forgotten completely if not for the row upon row of scratches he had carved into the wall.
With a sudden flurry of movement, Ewinus takes flight, rising into the narrow confines of the space beside the window, staring out. There has no way of escape; the bars were solid iron and would not bend; he had tried a thousand times. Bit he could at least see out, glimpse the occasional jet soar past on its way to the hangars.
This place had cowed him. But it would not break him. He would wait, for one day he will be free. And Galvanor shall know his wrath.
Ewinus drifts back to the ground, settling back into his sitting position. One day, he will escape.

Ewinus may find that his day will come soon. Outside, a force of Lions, Bats, and Bears arrives. Enoch and Leonard, the latter in the Gorilla Mech he's been trained to pilot, stand in front of their own forces, determined to defend their homeland and King at all costs. A voice rings out, amplified through chi power and a speaker from the vicious-looking tank heading the attackers.
Lycor: "This is Lion King Lycor, heading the Chima Alliance forces alongside King Bliston. We are here to capture the war criminal, Eagle King Galvanor, and nothing more, if you're willing to turn him over. Galvanor, while impersonating your late King Erdrik, tried to form all the tribes of Chima into a united front, to launch a preemptive strike against the Manta Ray Empire across the sea. This goal of his was not out of any desire to protect our land, but rather for his own revenge. Galvanor sees every being on this continent as nothing more than a meat puppet to throw at the Empire until it's down... every last one of us. With that being said, I reiterate that we're here to capture Galvanor, and you need only to turn him in. Our forces greatly outnumber that of the Eagles. This is your last chance to reach a peaceful resolution... use it well, use it wisely."
A lion on the opposing side speaks through his own mech, amplified in the same way: "King Lycor, this is Supreme Commander Leonard of the Primordium forces. Galvanor is the rightful Eagle King, and we would not betray him. Additionally, it's thanks to King Galvanor that we know about the Manta Ray Empire in the first place... knowledge that King Bliston and the Bats had been withholding from Chima's populace for the sake of public panic control, I might add, rather than preparing us for war with this foreign threat as Galvanor has."
Leonard continues: "You, King Lycor, speak of soldiers being used as expendable tools, but if we are to be tools..."
Inside the Lio Nemesis, Lycor's brow furrows more and more, as his fury grows during this part of Leonard's speech.
Leonard: "...then it is our civic duty as soldiers, to give our lives and our energy, our inner chi, to this cause. To render the Manta Ray Empire permanently unable to pose a threat to our homeland. It is true that many of us will be 'thrown at' the enemy, thousands of us soldiers will fall into the cold sea, but we will do so with a smile, for our destruction will guarantee peace and happiness for those back in our land."
Lycor says quietly, not into his speaker: "You know nothing of being a soldier, you brainwashed, young fool. You glorify war as if it's an honor to be used and cast aside for the sake of people who'll never know your name. Yes... that is what I'll bring an end to... but knocking Galvanor off his rotting perch comes first."
He says into his speaker: "Very well then."
And with that, the tank transforms into a hulking beast, its eyes glowing a deep red as it bellows, a mechanical roar heard throughout the region. The Alliance forces charge.
The CA troops were surprise attacked by the rhino and colony troops. This is an elebaration about the attack. The rhinos came from their camp near lion city and the colony troops from their base on the west sea coast. The rhino light cavalry attacked the left side, the heavy cavalry attacked the right side and the infantry the back. Rhino and tunnelcat underminers undermined the enemy tanks. Colony eagles and rhinos who stole gorilla and bat technologie attacked the bats on sea and in the sky.

Enoch: "HOLD THE LINE--!"
The cyborg general narrowly dodges a blast fired from the Bat Javelin, as the Bats already engage the Eagles in the skies. Most of the Eagles' jets are focused on fighting the Bats high up to protect the Spire, though many of the Eagles without jets swarm the Lions and Bears below, along with the Eagle Tanks [Equila's Eagle Striker]. Enoch is surprised when he notices Eagle jets with different markings painted on their wings. He flies beside the lone ET commander who he suspects is leading the foreign eagles.
Enoch: "I don't know who you are if you're not affiliated with the main tribe, and you'll have to explain yourselves after this, but I thank you for the assistance nevertheless."
Bliston communicates with the rest of the Bats through the Bat Javelin's radio: "The Eagles are receiving reinforcements from over the sea, probably from an island colony we weren't aware of. Devote your focus to keeping their jets occupied. The Bat Javelin and Lycor's Lio Nemesis are our best weapons."
As Wing Strikers weave all throughout the Eagle Tribe and Eagle Triumvirate jets, keeping most of them from pursuing the Bat Javelin, Bliston's command ship soars around to the Spire in a starboard arc, shooting down the few pursuing Eagle jets with its back-facing laser cannons. With fire chi enhanced speed, the Bat Javelin begins firing its missiles into every hangar on the Spire one by one; flames envelop the hangars and the jets within.
Bliston: "We'll prevent them from receiving any more reinforcements in the form of jets, and also prevent their present jets from docking for repairs. I'm not sure about the Eagles from the sea, but the Eagle tribe proper will now run out of jets eventually."

OOC: He means the Chima Alliance. Also yeah, ladymargaret regarding the Rhinos, please see Baton's post on page 168 of Lion City. I think you might've missed it. The Bats are fighting the colony Eagles on the other quote chain, so at the moment I'll just be addressing your Tigers here.
IC: Lycor scowls as a swarm of Tigers bursts up from beneath his mech's feet. The Lion Nemesis does a backflip, and a furious blast of fire erupts from the iron beast's mouth immediately upon landing, enveloping the Tigers unlucky enough to come up beneath the mech.
Lycor: "Tigers?! They must've used the Scorpions' old tunnels as a shortcut! No time to ask questions, just keep moving forward, to the Spire!"
The Lio Nemesis pounces with both its arms out, cutting down Tigers and low-flying Eagles with its knife claws. Any enemy infantry who approach the monstrous mech are halted by a blast of fire breath that covers all directions as the mech's head rotates 180 degrees. The Bear mechs follow Lycor's charge, grabbing and overturning Eagle Tanks, as the Lion tanks, accompanied by Lion and Bear infantry, fire on the Eagles and Tigers, rolling over any of the latter who don't jump aside in time.
Leonard: "Hmm... these Tigers seem to be on our side, oddly enough. Looks like the infantry is at a disadvantage against that monster of a mech. All Eagle troops! Pull back from Lycor's mech and focus on halting the Lions' and Bears' infantry! All tanks, pull back from the Bears' mechs and focus your fire on Lycor's mech!"
Leonard's Gorilla mech charges forward, grabbing the Lio Nemesis by the hands and stopping it from getting to Eagle Spire.
Lycor roars, and the Lio Nemesis breaks out of the Gorilla mech's grasp and lets out a fire breath on the opponent, but the fire doesn't penetrate the mech's armor yet, merely blowing off into the air.
Leonard: "Can't let you get to the Spire, Lycor."
Lycor: "I'm only going because Galvanor is still in there! Your so-called 'king' hides in his high tower while his people take the blows! Get out of the way... LEONARD!!!"
The two mechs punch each other in the "faces" simultaneously, sending a shockwave through the air from the impact.

OOC: Alsoooooooo, ladymargaret, could i make a request that your tunnelcats only be panthers? =P I'd kind of like all the tigers to be on one side and in one tribe. That way there's not confusion as to the Tiger's motives, and things make more sense.

In his cell, Ewinus watches with a mixture of sadness and hope as jets weave through the sky outside his cell and the rock trembles from the explosions in the hangars above. One misdirected cannon blast, and the bars that imprisoned him would be reduced to oblivion...

Outside, Supreme Commander Badrar twists his Wing Striker through the air, drawing two Eagle Jets away from the rest before spinning around and blasting them out of the air. As they plummet towards the earth, Badrar rejoins the main force of Wing Strikers and continues to shield the Bat Javelin from the Eagle Jets.

Any combatants not completely distracted by the battle hear a loud roar from the west as another army enters the fray; the golden, crimson and emerald banners of House Skelekar flap in the wind as a wall of Claw Rippers rush towards the rear of the Eagle ground forces, King Crogar's Royal Tank in the centre. They are followed swiftly by lines of Fire Strikers and speedorz circling around on either side. Behind them, hundreds of Croc infantry charge into the battle, though a large group remain behind. It's hard to tell from a distance, but they seem to be holding something in both hands.
Beneath the ground, meanwhile, many more Crocs pour through the old Scorpion tunnel network, some engaging the Rhinos and tunnel cats whilst others burst up in the middle of the battle. In the skies, Helicroctor squadrons drop out of cloud cover and join the chaos around the Spire, joining the Bat forces fighting the Eagle Jets.

Bliston: "We'll prevent them from receiving any more reinforcements in the form of jets, and also prevent their present jets from docking for repairs. I'm not sure about the Eagles from the sea, but the Eagle tribe proper will now run out of jets eventually."
The Eagles, scattered after all their hangars are destroyed, are further taken off-guard by the arrival of the Crocodiles.
Enoch: "Two of our former allies, the Bats and Crocodiles, now turned against us... Galvanor's actions really did have the opposite effect than what he intended..."
Enoch weaves and dodges between his airborne adversaries, alone as the Eagles all dogfight throughout the sky.
Enoch: "...He had the right idea in eliminating the Ray threat, but he's too young and inexperienced at leading, too wild and sporadic..."
The old general grabs a Wing Striker's wing with a chi-powered cybernetic arm, throwing the craft into another of its kind before launching the small missile on his other arm at a third Wing Striker flying toward him, using the blast to propel himself above the Bat Javelin.
Enoch: "...Someone like him needs to be directed, controlled. Yes, I'll have to start... guiding the boy, that'll get us on track-- GRRAAHHH!!"
The eagle is interrupted as his wings are struck by one of the many laser blasts lancing through the sky. He falls, his wings singed, but manages to grab onto the Bat Javelin during his plummet.
Enoch: "Urg, darn it... well, I can at least... take out the Bat King."
Enoch, having blades protrude from his robotic arms, pierces the command ship's hull with the blades to stay on, as he climbs toward the cockpits from the back. He stabs one of the blades into the cockpit on the right.
Bliston: "What th--?!"
Enoch lifts with his metallic strength, tearing the cockpit canopy off with the arm that'd pierced it, and throwing it into the sky. The Bat King flies forward out of the cockpit, narrowly dodging as the eagle stabs the pilot seat. The bat in the command ship's other cockpit looks to his right, seeing this happening.
Bat: "Your Highness!"
Bliston: "Don't worry about me; the Bat Javelin can still be flown by only one pilot."
Bliston dives toward Enoch with his axe, and the eagle general parries, as the two of them engage in battle on top of the Bat Javelin.
OOC: CA? (You never made a post at those topics (Lion City and West Sea) sending the rhino and colony troop forces by the way.) Also, I replied/tagged you on two topics, look at those please.
Leonard: "The Crocs--?!"
Leonard turns his attention back to his opponent in time to dodge a kick from the Lio Nemesis. The Gorilla Mech grabs the other mech's leg from below, swinging with all its might and throwing the Lion Nemesis twenty feet away. Lycor quickly ends the tumbling roll as he pierces the mech's knife fingers into the ground.
Lycor speaks through his mech's radio: "It's the Battle of Lion City all over again, Leonard. Have you still not realized that everyone is against Galvanor now? Are you really so blindly obedient?!"
The Lio Nemesis jumps forward, converting into tank mode to boost its speed. Leonard easily jumps above the oncoming tank, only for it to convert back to mech mode, turning and blasting fire up at the Gorilla Mech even while doing so. The blast throws Leonard several feet back, crashing to the ground and shattering some of his mech's armor.
Leonard: "Ugh, I can't-- I won't accept that! Galvanor is my rightful king, regardless!"
The Lio Nemesis lunges viciously, yet gracefully, at the Gorilla Mech, slicing off the shoulder-mounted chi cannon of the black mech as it tries to dodge. The Gorilla Mech ducks down and swings its massive fist, slamming into the other mech's chin in an uppercut; the Lio Nemesis stumbles, but Lycor rights it, taking a stance with its claws drawn in front.
Lycor: "Your rightful king?! Galvanor, the only reason you were raised by the Eagles, is because you were a prisoner of war!"
The Lio Nemsis dodges a now sloppier fist swing from the Gorilla Mech, and lets loose rapid series of its own swings, creating shallow claw marks all over the front of the mech, and further damaging its armoring.
Leonard: "W--what?? That makes no sense! I was a cub! I was born here, and the Eagles raised me as their own!"
As Leonard is caught off-guard, the Lio Nemesis pierces its right hand fingers into the Gorilla Mech, the long knives barely missing the pilot inside. The Lio Nemesis lifts the other mech high into the air with its penetrated fingers, holding it up as if studying it.
Lycor: "When I was made Lion King, I was granted access to highly-classified information, such as a deal made between King Erdrik and King Lionel's father 24 years ago. Erdrik had wiped out a hostile group of rogue lions in these lands, aside from a cub the Eagles took from the camp. The Lion King blackmailed Erdrik, threatening war despite those lions not being affiliated with the main tribe. Erdrik made a deal with him: the Eagles would raise the cub and teach him to pilot aircraft, then send him back to the Lions as an adult, so our tribe could finally build a good air force. This deal remained in effect after both those kings passed on. To the Eagles, you were a bargaining tool, Leonard."
Leonard: "N--no... They took me in because..."
Lycor: "Because they'd struck down your parents in these very lands! A mixture of guilt and obligation on the Eagles' part; such is the way of this world!"
The Lio Nemesis slams the heavy mech into the ground.
