For the record -- I should also note that the orange flash was Illidak. Imma have to write up a post where Alerak and Illidak talk to each other after what happened

The roof repairs are completed, as are the security measures. Sneaking into the fortress, which was incredibly hard before, is now nigh impossible. His army also increases in size.
The Toa of psionics, Alerak, was caught in some strange stupor. He had seen something he had not expected, and more to the point... had been... disturbed, by it. HIM, of all people! Driven to catatonia by some beast that just looked at him. Sudden thoughts and self doubts crept into his mind, thoughts that angered him for having them. Not one to stand for his superiority to be called into question, Alerak quite literally went as far as to mental attack... himself. This drove him just the slightest bit mad, because, as it turns out, punishing yourself for having self-doubt or thinking you are weak is not the healthiest way to deal with having been afflicted with sudden fear, especially when it didn't actually originate from you.
The ex-Toa Hagah, Illidak, could do scarcely much else but be confounded by what he was looking at.
Volek, meanwhile, was in quite a predicament. Illidak and Borachion both had snuck out. In particular, the former had killed quite a few rahkshi in order to aid and abbet Alerak's escape. He wasn't fast like either of his friends, and he was almost certain that Vindurax could overpower him if he was on his own. No, there was nothing for it, Volek would have to sit tight, and wait for an opportunity to leave the fortress. If only such an opportunity would come sooner...

"Alerak? Alerak! What are you doing?" Asked Illidak, the Toa of plasma. "What the Karz has gotten into you?!"
The Toa of psionics had been mentally attacking himself for the last few minutes, convulsing and shouting like a maniac.
"I AM NOT WEAK!!! I AM NOT WEAK!!! I AM NOT WEEEEAAAAAAK!!!! STOP BEING AFRAID STOP BEING AFRAID STOP BEING AFRAID! I COMMAND YOU!"
Not one to take this sort of nonsense, not even from an old friend, Illidak did the sensible thing and kicked Alerak in the head, jarring the Toa and knocking him out cold.

Deep in the bowels of his fortress, Vindurax admires a new suit of armour. It is darker and shorter than the one he ordinarily dons, with clawed hands. Vindurax turns, surveying the multitude of suits lining the walls. The doors of the chamber swing open, and two Rakshi escort an insubordinate Skakdi inside.
Vindurax addresses him, "You came to the Southern Chains, and attacked a Matoran Village. You and your followers have caused chaos. You have refused to pledge fealty to me and serve in my armies. I will give you one last chance to reconsider."
The Skakdi glares at him, and splits at his feet. The droplet halts in mid-air, then flies back at the Skakdi. Vindurax armour slowly opens, releasing his Antidermis. A Shadow Hand seizes the Skakdi and drags it forwards.
The cloud grows in size.
"Bring the rest."
One by one, Rakshi drag Skakdi inside, and they are absorbed into the Antidermis.
"Go."
Once the Rakshi have departed, a small cloud of Antidermis fills the suit Vindurax was examining, and two others. A hidden door opens, which the cloud passes through. A large amount of Antidermis drifts into a tank, which is sealed immediately. Vindurax returns to the outer chamber, and his original suit. He teleports to his chambers, where he hides the first spare suit behind a sliding panel. He places the other two is similar hiding places, in the Throne Room and a corridor near the innermost gate.
