(Insert a response composed almost entirely of the Bagger 288's searing hate) Swordsman shows the Bagger 288 images of Karzahni’s horrible landscape, ripe for destruction. The Bagger 288's rage becomes laced with amusement. Perfect. The Bagger rolls across the Northern Continent in the direction of Karzahni.

OOC: What are these crystals made of? OOC: The best description we ever got from Greg was “black crystalline shards.’’ OOC: Da'rvit, I forgot about this. Well the only form Nikan knows that can teleport is a Makuta so I don't know if that would work due to the Protosteel...

Landix paces around his outpost, extremely bored. He sits down into his chair, slumps over, and loudly proclaims, "I miss Waffles."

The Tren Krom Peninsula. The most dangerous place in the universe. Besides Destral. And Odina. And Karzanhi. And the deepest depths of the Silver Sea. And, well, maybe the peninsula was just A dangerous place. Either way, it was dangerous enough to contain skakdi, without having to fend off too many natives. This was the place Avoss would train his militia.

Makuta jabs two fingers in the air, pointing towards the blindfold covering the eye slits in his kanohi. "I am the warlord now." Zakaz natives would be difficult to train after that failed experiment all those years ago, but if Avoss focused on breaking their minds individually before training them as a group, they might become more than just cannon fodder.

Hozz took one more glance at his squad. Not a single skakdi was out of line. Just like him, they held their bamboo poles at the exact same angle, in the same position, and had them rooted in the same location relative to their precise feet placements. More importantly, his entire squad was keeping their cumbersome stone shields off of the ground. He made eye contact with his platoon leader and gave the signal. His squad was squared away. The platoon leader, Harmak, dipped his head and brought his gaze to the last squad leader. "Tahktorak Dung Squad," they like to call it. They were always getting the platoon in trouble. Their squad leader, Browk, gave a signal indicating that they were up, but one look at the rest in the group said otherwise. Right next to Browk was a skakdi with his shield on the ground, and beside him were two more whispering to one another. Forth squad was breaking formation. "Browk. Fix your karzing squad." Hozz could hear some shuffling from behind, but it was too late. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Makuta, fingers laced, approaching the platoon. "Harmak! Makut-!" "PLATOON!" Harmak jumped on the message. "ATTENTION!" He assumed the position of attention as the example for his subordinates, the difference being that his bamboo pole was held against his chest in salute. "Hail, Makuta." Avoss turned his blindfolded kanohi towards his skakdi. He didn't have to see to know they were out of line, and he knew which ones. They had been training under him long enough. There was no excuse for their slacking behavior. He would have to remind them the consequences for negligence. Despite their shortcomings, he returned the salute with a closed first over where his heart light would be, if he ever had one. "Hail. Sergeant, where is fourth squad?" "Lost in the sauce, Makuta!" "Harmak, you are the platoon leader. If one of your entire squads is incompetent, they are worse than {[smashed]}, because they will {[smash]} the rest of the platoon. They are your responsibility. Act like it." Makuta Avoss produces a spiked dagger plant and passes it off to Harmak. "You know what to do." The platoon leader kneels, applies the flora to his midsection, and drags it across. It's barbs sink into his protodermis hydrolics and release an excruciating toxic energy that floods his mechanics. This wasn't the first time had had to do this, but he prayed to Mata-Nui it was the last. Still, he preferred this over Makuta's wrath. "BROWK!" Browk snapped back to attention after trying to get a view of Harmak. This rahi dung had been going on too long. He didn't like submitting to this self-praising Makuta. Browk used to be the right hand to a skakdi warlord, and had a plan to take the throne for himself. Groveling at the feet of a self-proclaimed, "overseer" was not on his bucket list. Makuta towered over fourth squads' leader. "Word on the chute system is that you're still acting like an individual."

Makuta towered over fourth squads' leader. "Word on the chute system is that you're still acting like an individual." Browk said nothing. "Oh, that act is RAHI DUNG! Your platoon leader is embracing the cruel touch of a SPIKED DAGGER PLANT and YOU'RE acting like that's his problem!" By an outside force, Browk's shield increased it's weight ten fold, causing it to hit the ground. He stuggled to lift it, but it required him to break formation. "Oh, KARZANHI no! Pick up your karzed shield! Pick up your karzed shield, rahi dung!" The skakdi lowered himself and lifted his shield with both arms. It was heavy, but his power of biomechanics allowed him to augment himself just enough to lift the circular rock. "I DIDNT SAY TO BREAK FORMATION! Oh, oh, I get it, fourth squad is {smashed}! They didn't keep formation, everyone! Now the rest of the platoon gotta carry those extra shields!" Browk saw his opening. He knew that matoran and toa needed masks, and he was willing to bet that makuta might have some special use for them. If Makuta's mask was shattered... He swung the extra heavy shield around and was on a direct collision course with the golden Rode. Metallic protodermis was strong, but kanohi we're somewhat brittle. A solid hit was all that he needed, and with this rock shield, he had beyond enough force. Makuta catches it in his palm, not even jolting to absorb the impact. Instantaneously, the shield is replaced with immaculately fine dust. He turns his head towards Browk, staring him down through the blindfold over his kanohi. "This rock worm wants a fight." The entire world seems to fall deathly silent. "Sorry, but I can't fight you any more than Mata-Nui can fight a protodite." There is no photoreceptor in the universe fast enough to track Avoss' movements. One moment, his hand is holding the air where a shield once was, the next, he is couched, with his other hand curled into a fist where Browk's head used to be. Browk flies through the thick, stone wall he and his platoon set up weeks ago. His ragdoll body continues to fly through the air until he embeds himself in a small crater in the cliffs further away. His mechanical parts are scattered everywhere, and his organic protodermis muscle and organs are on display to the rahi of the sky. "I can either ignore you, or eliminate you." He scans the rest of the platoon. "Fourth squad is {smashed}. Take their shields and weapons. When you lose a soldier, everyone pays. When you loose a squad..." He hacks up a virus and spits. It sizzles and smokes in the dirt. "Mio run today, no rests. FULL GEAR, including what fourth squad had. Squads one through three are dismissed." The skakdi soldiers groan internally and run into their barracks to grab their gear. "Fourth squad! This week is your lucky week! You get a foot spa for seven days straight! Go to the acid falls and wait for my orders."

It seemed impossible, but Browk was still alive. If Makuta wanted to deal a {smashing} blow, he would have. Of course, if there had just been a micro fraction more force, or if the force was applied a nano bio in the wrong direction, he wouldn't have been so lucky. Makuta was sparring him, allowing Browk to repair himself slowly until he was fully recovered. Browk didn't know that, though, as his core processor was only capable of subroutine thought and passively using his biomechanical power to assemble the elements of his broken body.

Go to the acid falls and wait for my orders." Zim -the skakdi of fourth squad the had his shield on the ground- stifled a helpless moan. He was fighting so hard to keep his body above the bar, but the artificially increased weight of his feet had long since become to much to raise. Below him was the lip of an acidfall, pouring over 60,000 gallons of burning green liquid per second over the edge of the cliffs. If he lowered himself, his legs would be submerged before he could even extend them. He looked at the rest of the squad. They discovered that climbing on top of the bar caused their legs to quadruple in weight, causing the bar to dip and defeat the purpose... But if it was just one of them, they could manage. It took a bit of arguing before they agreed on a system. Each skakdi would take a two hour break for every six hours spent on the bar. Their workaround of Makuta's punishment had kindled a new spirit inside them, one that skakdi would never have developed themselves. They were united.
