Once the capital of Gondor, Osgiliath became a ruined town, although it was (presumably) repaired somewhat during the 4th Age. It had an interesting history, but it's Friday and I'm tired, so I won't repeat it.

Anyways, in this RP, Osgiliath is considered to be partially repaired, including the bridge. Thus, in this RP, it functions as a "fortress-topic", a small region of strategic importance. In this case, it is one of a few crossing points for the Anduin river.
As a fortress-topic, it provides 500 MWE, rather than the usual 1k. It borders Minas Tirith (the Gondor HQ) to the west, and North/South Ithilien to the east.
