*1, 331 crossbow bolts and 67 massive boulders smash into the charging Haradrim ranks. Boulders are focused on Mumukil (any that miss wil fall on the ground troops) while the crossbow bolts are split between the legs of the Mumukil, and the men on them.*
OOC: Hold a sec, what are your lines like? The front of then has been demolished by my Mumakil so I just want to know the rest.
You think you have problems with Orcs? Wait until I arrive, you ain't seen nothing yet.

OOC: I don't really know. There's a bunch a Gondorians at the front. My dwarves and siege engines are behind the Gondorians, in a formation specified a few posts ago. The Gondirans are taking the blows, and I'm just firing from behind them.

OOC: Apparently, Aglarond needs a meatshield to succeed.

Hold on a sec, I'm pretty sure it's a single file crossing for Mumakil at Poros Or at least the other places take ages to cross

Even if the river was, say, ten to fifteen feet deep at a different point, it wouldn't take that long for a 40+ foot Mumak to cross the river. Besides, fords are usually of a decent size.

Regardless, it would still only be single-file, given how wide the Mumaks are.

The Mumaks are elephants, right? Or Oliphaunts?
Or... do I not know what I'm talking about here?
While I wish it was, as it will worsen the situation for my troops, I concur with Evil here. It's not as though the river will be 30 feet deep and then suddenly turn into a ford. It will be gradual, and until it gets to 20 feeet deep, I doubt the Mumukil will really notice.
Imagine you are cossing through water ankle-deep. It's easy. The deeper it is, the harder it is, but until it gets near to waist-deep, it won't be too hard. For a Mumakil, it will be almost the same as my example. I'd say at least three should be able to cross at once, though no more than six or seven. Also, ground troops will only be able to cross at the fords proper, riders a little deeper, meaning that the Mumakil will be mostly unsupported by lighter forces.

Oh. Did I misread a map? Or say the wrong thing to a band of orcs and get mercilessly destroyed? I'm intrigued now; I'll have to go and read, lol. Thank you for righting a story about me!
