Perhaps so -- though, if this old lady's competing herself against hot sixteen year-old girls with waists the size of kiwis, she really doesn't stand a chance and she's going to be mad anyway. She did become a princess -- or queen, really, if I recall the tale correctly, so to me it counts.
Yeah, the age difference in this contest is quite large. Perhaps the Evil Queen is using her magic to make herself look younger, which could be cheating in the Mirror's judgement of "Fairest of them all".
Right. That skeleton could be her then.
But then the Mirror's like "I'm onto you, lady", so he gets her back by telling her that her hated step-daughter is fairer than she is.

Poor thing. She didn't even have a name.
Yep. I guess the mirror didn't like the Evil Queen either.
Yeah, only to become imprisoned in the Evil Queen's dungeon.

Can't say I blame him. He's an all-knowing mirror who can answer any question in the world -- he could know the cure to cancer, for crying out loud -- and all the Queen asks each day is if she's the hottest lady in the land. That must be really irritating for the Mirror.

Thanks a lot, Rumplestiltskin.
Good point. That mirror was meant for more, yet it's really just being used as a mirror for beauty. She had the chance to be the best queen of all, but no... she had to use it for herself.
Oh? I take it she's used to the more gentler Disney films?
Neither the fairest nor the evilest of them all. Sad.
Yeah, she's really grown up with the movies like Cinderella, Moana, Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, etc. Nowadays the Disney movie villains are a little more charming or humorous than downright creepy.
XD Yeah.
Ah yes, the cheerier Disney films. True Disney's villains these days are often depicted in a cheery disguise, only to reveal themselves at the opportune moment.

Ooh! If you had the Magic Mirror in the Wall, what question would you ask it?

Exactly -- which, I think, is really cool and actually good for kids. Depicting characters who are initially funny and charming who turn out to be the most hateful villains teaches us that there are people out there who will pretend to love you and care, when really they're just using you to their own advantage and are waiting for the right moment to betray you.

I'd probably ask for the answers to my homework. What about you?
Hey, guys. Sorry I haven't been chatting here much lately; I've been pretty busy, but I love the conversations that are going on here at the moment. I'm going to be in Washington, D.C. tomorrow through Sunday, so I probably won't be able to be on as much then either. BUT, I will involve myself in this discussion whenever I can. You can count on that.
