Senix returns to the Mountain with the frozen Petricoff. He puts the peacock in the main prison room with Rex and Dr. Benjamin, and then asks the guards where the rest of the army went, as he was separated from the other Sabertooths for a short time by now. He is told that they heard King Finglor was somewhere in the Iron Mountains.

The temporarily allied Imperial and Bat Tribe forces, powered up with chi and fire chi, launch an all-out attack on the mountain, attempting to simply smash into the HQ through brute force and sheer firepower. Senix: "Arm all defenses!" A massive battle begins at the foot of the mountain. Flying bat and vulture vehicle focus on taking out the Sabertoothes' defensive turrets.

Senix: "Arm all defenses!" A massive battle begins at the foot of the mountain. Flying bat and vulture vehicle focus on taking out the Sabertoothes' defensive turrets. The guards at the outposts see them coming before they reach the stronghold, so Sabre Mountain is prepared. Once they come within half a mile of the fortress, hundreds of weapons open fire. The barrage only intensifies as they come, freezing invaders left, right and centre. Their Fire Chi may hold for a few moments, but against the defences of Sabre Mountain, it is unlikely to last for more than five. The ground assault is clearly unlikely to be successful - this citadel has never yet fallen, and its residents have no plans to let that change. The air assault is somewhat more effective, as most weapons cannot aim at anything in the skies once it comes within a reasonably close range. To compensate for this, several hundred Sabre Copters are launched, forcing the Bats and traitors to divert their attention onto them. Within the mountain, several messengers leave via tunnels which come up far beyond the battlezone.

Continuously being loaded with fire chi, Bat Super-tanks and Leopard Mobile Commands lead the ground charge, forming a wall in front of the warriors on foot. Vulture mechs surround the ground forces as much as possible, taking most of the Ice blasts. While the air forces above bomb the defensive turrets, the Mobile Commands ram frontfirst into the side of the mountain, beginning a barrage of fire power that starts to melt a large hole near the bottom. The fire powered Bat Javelin enters the battle, staging bombing runs on the outposts and turrets, before deploying Bliston, Vamprah, and Imperial Knights onto the side of the mountain; the Bat Javelin flies away from the mountain after dropping its cargo. The Leopards among the Knights slide down the mountain at first, but stab their swords into the side of the mountain, using their weapons as makeshift climbing devices as they follow Bliston and the Vultures, the former starting to melt a hole with his flame thrower to enter the mountain. By now, the Wing Strikers and Bat Javelin have destroyed the turrets on that part of the mountain's surface, leaving the team unthwarted except by any Sabertoothes or Sabertooth vehicles coming down the side of the mountain, which the Imperial Knights protect Bliston and Vamprah from as those two continue opening the hole.

The shield tactic succeeds, though at the cost of many vehicles. They also manage to destroy many turrets, but enough remain that the forces on the ground are still under heavy fire. An additional fifty Sabre Copters are deployed, aiding those already in the air. They target all flying vehicles within range. For a moment, the invaders seem to be successful in melting their way in, but soon they quite literally hit rock bottom. This is a moutain, after all - ice and snow might cover its surface, but it is made of solid stone. With enough heat, they might be able to break through, but the northern climate and icy blasts filling the air are rapidly draining their Fire Chi.

Meanwhile, the Bat Super-Tanks and Vulture Mechs battle Sabertooth forces on the ground, defending the leopards and their vehicles as they fire at the focus point.

IC: With so many fire powered vehicles and warriors shooting and slashing at it, the small exposed part of the mountain is eventually exploded open. Bliston and many bats swarm into the hole 2 at a time, plugging more fire chi as they fly straight down into the prison section of the mountain, either flying around or fighting any Sabertooth guards that come their way. Vamprah and the Imperial Knights stay at the outside of the hole to cover the bats' exit later.

OOC: I didn't respond because there wasn't anything to say - the battle in the skies continued, and the turrets keep firing. Blasting your way through solid rock with fire in the Arctic North is an incredibly hard thing to do - it would take days if they had heavy equipment, and they can only bring small vehicles close to the gap in the defences. I didn't consider it feasible that they'd be breaking in that way anytime soon. IC: They succeed in widening the hole in the ice over the surface and going a short way deeper into the rock, but given the harsh temperatures it takes a long time to get it to a temperature similar to that of the stones in southern Chima, and even more time to heat it enough to start melting their way in.

All the Bats who aren't piloting vehicles swarm up toward the Sabertooth mouth entrance at the top of the mountain. All the flying Bat and Imperial vehicles fire at and bomb all the turrets on that section of the mountain to cover the bats' entrance. Fire powered wing strikers fly in and begin to crush the cannons of the surviving turrets with their frontal grabbing wings. As they make their way quickly to the entrance, the fire chi powered bats fly over the sabertooth troops on the mountain, fighting any sabertoothes who jump high enough to attack them. If/when the sabertooth jaw gate begins to close, 4-8 wing strikers (depending on the width of the gate) fly in sideways and prop open the gate's jaws with their aformentioned opening and closing (in this case staying open) front wings. Though the wing strikers are inevitably crushed when the gate eventually closes, they were able to hold it open long enough for most of the bats to fly through the gate and into the mountain.

When they get back to the entrance, they find that the Sabertooth mouth gate is still tightly shut. Senix: "Where do you think you're going?!" Senix pounces down on them in the tunnel, zapping almost all the warriors to the walls with energy lightning from his hands. Benjamin: "Hey, you're the one who froze me!!" Benjamin blasts Senix from behind with the revolving fire chi blaster Bliston gave him, and the force of the continual shots blast Senix onto the switch that opens the jaw gate, triggering it. The gate opens as Senix falls, unconscious. Benjamin: "You don't know how good that felt, your highness." Bliston: "Actually, I do. But let's get out of here."
