Malgus the elder leaps out of the tunnel, to Malgus II's left. Malgus: "I will not stand for this, son! You've become just like the Sabertooths are with the Lions, which is why I broke the tribe off from them! Wiping out an entire species is wrong, no matter how much you want revenge on a tribe!" Malgus II takes a couple startled steps back, and motions for guards to approach his father. Malgus II: "Is that not what you were planning to do, father?" Malgus: "My plan would have saved the Phoenix, by turning them into mortals! It would've also given us our revenge and brought back our fallen brethren and eliminated the Elemental Balance! 'Twas an outcome like no other!" Malgus II: "Which is why it was too good to be true. I don't believe that's possible. Besides, those Fire Wing Harnesses you were so happy to use are the creation of the first Phoenix Emperor, as is that horrific Illumination! How do you know you weren't being controlled by the Phoenix' will? You are the misguided one, father... but I will save you. Guards!" Mammoths move in, but Malgus the elder throws them aside, only to realize how outnumbered he is. He glances back at his son, and then jumps, smashing through the wall with his massive form. The former king rolls in the snow below, springing up to run as soon as he can. Malgus II turns back to the Sabertooth delegation as the Mammoths pursue his father: "Sorry about that, but at least this event serves to solidify me as the Mammoth King, rather than my father. I must ask that you capture him on sight if you ever encounter him, rather than slay him. I believe he's been brainwashed by the will of the Phoenix via that Fire Wing Harness he wore for quite a while, and I hope to restore him to his former glory as the Ice Hunters' wizard, if not the Mammoth King." OOC: Ah, thanks guys! Shamrock ShamrockOutside in the snow, the Stinger-Copter locates its target: Malgus the elder, running away from the HQ. Malgus manages to see the camouflaged craft, and threateningly summons magic lightning in his hands whilst surprisingly waving down the helicopter. The scorpion piloting it, surprised, brings the Stinger-Copter slightly closer while still having its fire chi laser sights (the one part of the craft currently powered by fire chi) trained on Malgus. Malgus: "Perfect timing. No doubt Scorponok sent you to assassinate me after the debacle at the Forever Rock, however I wish to defect to the Stinger Brotherhood." Scorpion pilot: "You... what?? Well, I'd been prepared to capture you if necessary, so... be willing to come to Scorpix City with power-suppressing chains." Malgus: "Very well." They quickly depart.

The Sabretooth delegation listens, enraptured, as King Malgus speaks. Sienna remains silent for a moment before replying, "Your Majesty is indeed enlightened, and blessed with the courage and fortitude of the Mammoths of old. King Fingor will be delighted to learn that our people will stand together once more against the cursed Phoenix." Malgus the elder leaps out of the tunnel, to Malgus II's left. Malgus: "I will not stand for this, son! You've become just like the Sabertooths are with the Lions, which is why I broke the tribe off from them! "Of course," Sienna assents. "I shall alert our outposts and border watchman. Your father will be taken alive if he enters Sabretooth lands." The Emmissary nods to an attaché, who makes a note of this. "Now that your father has fled, King Malgus," Sienna goes on, "perhaps we might turn to discussing military action going forward?"

Malgus II: "Indeed. I've been told by my scouts that the southern tribes seem to be preparing for an attack on the land the Icebears claimed, and that the Phoenix are among them." "It is so. Southerners calling themselves "Unichi" have already amassed a formidable host at Black Fang Mountain. Together with the Icebears, however, the White Lioness has devised a plan to deal with them: the army that marches on Crystal Crater will walk straight into a trap. A slow, agonising defeat that will shatter their resolve and destroy the Unichi host, leaving their western homelands vulnerable. The addition of the Phoenix to their numbers does complicate matters, but we believe it is manageable, and would make our victory far greater. Destroy that army, and we will finally be able to storm the Phoenix Isles." Sienna pauses, allowing Malgus to digest her words. One of her staff hurries into the room, having been outside speaking on a portable radio to Sabre Mountain, and speaks briefly into the ambassador's ear. "Pray, forgive the interruption, King Malgus. It seems there are new developments. The plan I have mentioned is complex and involves multiple fronts, but one of the most critical is the Outland Mountains. We have known for some time that Scorpions had established a base there. It's location allows them to send scouts into the northern wastes, and - even more crucially - to easily move forces into the Outland jungle. The Outlands are inhospitable. No substantial amount of food can be grown there, leaving the Unichi army at risk of starvation if they do not move quickly. But the Scorpions could use their fortress as a resupply base, moving food and reinforcements from the west through the mountains. "The first step in the White Lioness' plan is, quite simply, to evict our stinger-tailed friends from the mountains. We have already dispatched a force under Supreme Commander Frosar to accomplish this, but it seems the settlement is far larger than we had realised. We would, of course, send reinforcements of our own, but an opportunity has arisen to deprive our foes of a Fire Wing Harness. Naturally, a large part of our army has been diverted to secure the harness, leaving us temporarily unable to mobilise enough troops to seize the city. Accordingly, we request you deploy the Mammoth Army to the Outlands Mountains. If this offensive is successful, the road to the Outlands will lie open, and we will be able to properly support the Icebears. It is critical that we seize those mountains, and as soon as possible."

Inside the "bridge" command room of the Frozen Tusk, Malgus II watches with his arms crossed as they climb up over the Ice Mountains. The Northern Outland Mountains become visible before them. Malgus II: "So, our target is a city tucked somewhere in those mountains? Let's meet up with the advance scouts the Sabertooths had sent, if we can."

Now that The Purple City has been destroyed, Prince Malgus II takes the Mammoths back here, to their last HQ. The Mammoths revamp the Frozen Tusk, making it a powerful mobile fortress with modern armor and weapons emplacements. King Malgus soon flies here. Malgus II: "Father, you've returned! And you've become the Elemental Wizard!" Malgus: "Yes, the journey went perfectly! We'll no longer need to worry about Senix, so let's move on to more pressing matters." Malgus and the Mammoths begin planning their revenge on the Phoenix.OOC: Well I guess I ended up retconning that last part. IC: Now, Vulture Lord Vamprah arrives here with his escort. His Sky Scavengers are instructed on where to land here, and the vultures enter the HQ to meet with the former prince, now the king... OOC: Or...did I?

(OOC: Continued from the Saber Mountain topic.)
IC: Maulryene, having awoken from her illness-induced coma at last, looks out the porthole at the battle raging outside. Since the Frozen Tusk and the Mammoth Army are attacking Saber Mountain, the Witch-Queen at first assumes that there's been a falling-out between the Mammoths and Sabertooths, without both her and Sabradia active to maintain a strong alliance with their friendship. However, she realizes with growing fury that it's more complex than that, as she sees Mammoths fighting each other. Maulryene rushes to the command room of the now mobile HQ as fast as she can, quickly getting used to the new layout. She bursts into the bridge, expecting to find her daughter in command, but instead sees Malgus II and the bridge crew staring at her arrival, dumbfounded.
Malgus II: "Maulryene?? You woke up from your coma?"
Bridge crew mammoth: "Queen Maulryene, you're alive!"
Maulryene: "Malgus II, what are you doing?! I understand if the alliance with the Sabertooths fractured without Sabradia and I serving as the glue between these two tribes, but why in the world are you fighting your fellow Mammoths?! Cease this at once!"
Malgus II: "You don't understand. Those Mammoths--including your daughter--have been manipulated by the Sabertooth royals. The Sabertooths betrayed us! They slayed my father, the acting Mammoth King while you were incapacitated, no less!"
Maulryene: "Maulisa...? That...that can't be. Sabradia wouldn't manipulate us, and she wouldn't kill Malgus. Those must've been Sabertooths acting against the royals' orders, or it was accidental friendly fire..."
Bridge crew mammoth: "That's what I've been trying to say--!"
Malgus II: "NO! Enough excuses for their actions! It's time for the Sabertooths to PAY!"
Maulryene: "No, it's time for the Phoenix to pay! Have you forgotten our true enemy? The ones who cursed us, who exiled you and froze me?!"
Malgus II: "Oh don't worry, I'll get to them next!"
Maulryene: "You are attacking our allies, our own people, and my daughter, and you are not the Mammoth King. You are relieved of duty, Malgus the sec--Urgh!"
As she tries to launch a bolt of magic lightning at Malgus II, it sputters out and Maulryene falls forward onto one knee, clutching her side.
Maulryene: "This accursed sickness still ails me?!"
Bridge crew mammoths: "We're with you, Queen Maulryene!"
They pull out their blaster pistols and finally turn on Malgus II, only to realize that he'd swallowed an additional chi orb after Maulryene's failed attack. The Mammoth King roars and sends out an amplified blast of ice through the bridge in a wide crescent, freezing all the other Mammoths except for Maulryene, who resists the freeze but is still blasted out of the bridge by the force of the attack. Malgus II falls out of his throne and collapses to his knees, panting from the strain of the attack. He quickly stands and throws the bridge door closed, barricading it with layers upon layers of ice.

Maulryene: "You are attacking our allies, our own people, and my daughter, and you are not the Mammoth King. You are relieved of duty, Malgus the sec--Urgh!" As she tries to launch a bolt of magic lightning at Malgus II, it sputters out and Maulryene falls forward onto one knee, clutching her side. Maulryene: "This accursed sickness still ails me?!" Bridge crew mammoths: "We're with you, Queen Maulryene!" They pull out their blaster pistols and finally turn on Malgus II, only to realize that he'd swallowed an additional chi orb after Maulryene's failed attack. No sooner has he done this, than an astral figure phases through the bridge windshield, looming over the Mammoth King. Malgus II: "What the--?!" The red chi aura with a mammoth head reaches down to grab Malgus II, but he jumps backward. Malgus II: "Who are yo--!? Wait, a r ed aura, but a mammoth...? F-Father?! Is that you--??" He's knocked off his feet as the mobile HQ suddenly rocks beneath him. Malgus II: "Wha--what's happening?!" Below the bridge, Maulryene looks through a porthole (now shattered from the Eagle Triumvirate's attacks) toward the besieged Saber Mountain, as she uses all of her energy to conjure a rapidly growing magic storm in her hands. Maulryene: "It looks as though I won't be getting my revenge on the Phoenix...but saving you is far more important, Maulisa. I won't let another child of mine die. If I have to sacrifice myself to guarantee your survival, even if it costs the lives of many of our fellow Mammoths in the process, so be it." In the bridge, the chi aura quickly grabs Malgus II, firmly grasping him in its massive right hand, and shatters part of the windshield with a punch from its left. The magic storm continues to grow below, and purple lightning sputters out from the focal point. Maulryene: "So, this is the end of the First Witch, Maulryene...I'll be seeing the rest of the family now, but you, Maulisa...you must...live." The chi aura holds Malgus II close to its chest as it jumps out the hole in the windshield and into the snowstorm outside, just before the lightning can reach the Mammoth King. Maulryene: "You know...it never mattered that you can't use magic, Mauli--" Finally, the unstable mass of energy 'detonates', and a web of purple lightning rips through the mobile HQ, damaging the circuit-chi and causing a chain reaction of explosions throughout, utterly eviscerating the Frozen Tusk from the inside... (Continued on the Saber Mountain topic.)
