-A Chimian Public Broadcast Speech brought to you by The Combined Seperatists.
-the message looks old and outdated...-
It has come to my attention that some have lately called me a collaborator, as if such a term were shameful. I ask you, what greater endeavor exists than that of collaboration? In the crawler’s current unparalleled enterprise, refusal to collaborate is simply a refusal to grow--an insistence on suicide, if you will.
Did the lungfish refuse to breathe air? It did not. It crept forth boldly while its brethren remained in the blackest ocean abyss, with lidless eyes forever staring at the dark, ignorant and doomed despite their eternal vigilance. Would we model ourselves on the trilobite? Are all the accomplishments of chimian kind fated to be nothing more than a layer of broken plastic shards thinly strewn across a fossil bed, sandwiched between the Burgess shale and an eon's worth of mud?
In order to be true to our nature, and our destiny, we must aspire to greater things. We have outgrown our cradle. It is futile to cry for mother's milk, when our true sustenance awaits us among the stars. And only the universal union that small minds call 'The Combine' can carry us there.
Therefore I say, yes, I am a collaborator. We must all collaborate, willingly, eagerly, if we expect to reap the benefits of unification. And reap we shall.
OOC: Nice copypasta.
IC: Lewis Luggington: "How'd the Combine get their message in our news station?!" The lions try to find out how Scortica infiltrated CPB.

The J: I think you should state any changes that you plan to make here so that way people don't always just post their propaganda articles on here. Unless you plan to keep it that way.

Freedom of the press. Although if people write more propaganda-ish articles, they should market each of those as an "Advertisement". The two main editions of Chima Public Broadcast currently are CPB Silver, covering non-biased economic news, and CPB Gold, covering non-biased war news.

You really need to take some leasons from Torahvision when it comes to news papers. Question: Do we still use it like where anybody can post their stuff on here or are you trying to recreate the things Torahvision does on his newspaper topic.

Issac Skleiner to all of the Outlands and refugees in Cave 17/Chimanity (to only broadcast once the Citadel’s Fusion Reactor blows up and damages a great part of Cave 17, )
-he picks up a outland plant and lookes worried about it-
Careful, Lamarr! These lamps are quite hot! -he then outs it down
Ahem... Is this on? Yes? Very well, I... I am not much of a public speaker, but I'll... I'll do my best.
Ahem... Fellow citizens... Residents of Cave 17 and outland environs... by which I mean sentient residents, of course, chimian and otherwise, although I believe there is little need to explain recent developments to our allies...
At any rate... First, as a matter of great urgency, if you find yourself still within the confines of Cave 17, you are well advised to leave the city at once by the fastest means available to you. We have restored service to much of the commuter transport system in order to carry citizens out of the city as quickly as possible. We have also established camps and triage areas in the surrounding environs.
I repeat, you must evacuate the city at once.
While there was certainly a great benefit in destroying the Citadel's teleport core, we have detected one rather unfortunate side effect.
It would appear an inevitability that very soon now, the Citadel will be consumed in a destructive event whose magnitude I cannot currently estimate with any certainty, except to say that it will almost certainly irradiate an area of many miles' radius.
Therefore, I repeat, evacuate Cave 17 at once if not sooner! I cannot state this without enough undue emphasis!
On a lighter note, if you are already in one of our designated safe zones, I feel obliged to point out that a more fortunate side-effect of the reactor's destruction is the complete removal of the Combine's reproductive suppression field.
(continue in more posts)
Previously, certain protein chains important to the process of embryonic development were selectively prevented from forming. This is no longer the case. For those so inclined, now would be an excellent time for procreation. Which is to say, in layman's terms, you should give serious consideration to doing your part for the revival of the species. We must make the most of the time we have, as it is by no means certain how much time we have secured ourselves before the Combine attempt to restore their dominion, as they certainly shall.
Since this is in fact the first opportunity we have had to speak openly of the baleful influence of the Combine, there is much ground to cover—and in fact I hope to institute a series of useful bulletins in the days ahead. However, for now, we will have to content ourselves with some relatively meager exposition.
The destabilization of the cave 17 reactor has had repercussions that were not entirely unexpected, although we hardly dared speak this hope ahead of time. The destructive pulse forced a damper on the entire network of linked Citadel reactors. Thus, for the time being, I believe that all Combine portals have failed completely, as well as all communication systems based on that technology.
In short, the Combine are completely cut off. Combine forces currently stationed on Earth and chima are now isolated units. Stranded.
However, this is most likely a temporary state of affairs. As we once learned to our dismay, even the relatively tiny fracture at Aperture Mesa gave our enemies an opening which they were able to force ever wider, as they poured through in greater and greater numbers.
In addition to the completely xenotheric species, there are many modified post-chimian allies still remaining on Earth and chima who will be doing their utmost to re-establish lines of communication and supply with the larger forces.
Even so, there is greater reason for hope now than at any time in the past decade.
We have made, in secret, several technological advances which we will do our best to deploy in advance of the Combine's return.
We continue to diligently assemble and train a new generation of scientists and technicians.
For what the Combine fear the most is not any tangible chimian weapon, but our will, our intellect, our ability to respond selectively and rationally to every terror they turn against us.
We place our firmest hope in the Forgotten spirit, even knowing how easily it may be shattered. We have all seen friends and family crushed by the Combine. Some of our neighbors have allowed themselves to be co-opted, and purged of their chimanity, by the military machine.
And those who resisted have met a most terrible fate.
Still, I cannot overstate how important it is that we retain our chimanity. Only this will allow us to hold together as we must for their inevitable return...and what is certain to be unimaginable retaliation.
And...oh yes, if you missed any part of this message, it will loop repeatedly until there is no point in looping it any longer.
I apologize for any inadvertent errors or omissions. As you can imagine, we have had scarcely time to record, let alone rehearse- -he is interruped by off camera speech-
What's that, Speli? Oh, right....
This has been Dr. Isaac Skleiner, formerly of Aperture Mesa, now simply a citizen, like all of you, of Earth and chima.
Let me just add to all those who can hear me now, as we struggle out of the shadow of our malefactors, welcome back to the light....
Now...where did I put that calculator...? -the transmission ends and then sets up to repeat-

Well CPB is now primarily owned by the Lions, just like in the very beginning when it was primarily owned by the Rhinos. Other tribes can post articles here, but those articles won't be part of the main CPB series, those being CPB silver and gold.

A word from our management: Hello, this is Lewis Luggington, editor-in-chief and head writer and reporter of CPB. First, I'd like to apologize for the misnumbering of the last CPB Gold issue. It was actually Issue #4, not #3. Second, you're probably wondering why no news has come out lately, and it's because I'd set out to investigate the Ice beings, and I got, well, frozen. But I've now been freed from the Ice by a species of yellow cats (which I'll get back to you on), so CPB is back in action!

Interview with the late Scorpion King Scorm and current King Scorpio, Part 1 (This interview was conducted in Lion City Prison, before King Scorm's untimely demise.)
1) Lewis: "Scorpion King Scorm and Prince Scorpio, what are both your opinions on the recent restoration of the Chi falls?" Scorm: -spits out his drink and laughs- “Like the falls ever did get unblocked, the mods would reject that clause!” Scorpio: “Uh dad... they did approve it, ya know?” -Scorm takes a drink again and spits it out again- Scorm: “THE BRICK IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD NOW?!?”
2) L: "What are your opinions on the other tribe leaders?" Scorm: “They all suck, just saying... Bliston my bro would agree too! Scorpio: “Dad’s really blunt sometimes...” -he rolls his eyes-
3) L: "How do you two think the 'war' will go?" [referring to the Chima—Alliance Crawler Empire War] Scorm: “To be honest, I dunno, probably until someone freezes time or something cold...” Scorpio: “I dunno, me neither...”
4) L: "What do you think of Scorpix' apparent plan to keep defending the bear forest Crawler villages no matter what? Do you view this as foolish, or logical? Or a mix of both?" [this was before Scorpix gave the Bear forest back to the bears] Scorm: “Go for it, Scorpix, I didn't make you a high general for nothing! You prove yourself to be competent and very-" -he is cut off by his son- Scorpio: “-STUPID!!! LEAVE THESE INLAND PEOPLES ALONE, SCORPIX!!!” -he slaps Scorm silly- Scorm: “Shut up with that Inland-loving attitude with yours! It’s not healthy for you!” -Scorpio whines like the little brat he is-

H-hello? Is anyone reading this? then... I'm Razic, Razic the Raven, son of Razar and Grandson of Rawzsom... After a long and arduous waiting for letters of my parent figures to to respond back to my letters i sent them... i decided to leave my almost permanent Eagle residence and went back to my tribe, only to discover, it's not what it had been after five or so years... So once i stepped talon out of my Eagle-developed LockTalon F-117 "Nightraven" jet i was gifted when i lived with the eagles. I was greeted by a Raven whom said i was "New" but I've explained to that civilian been living in that tribe for years before my leave with the eagles. He shushed me and told me to never speak of it due to the tribal leader hating the eagles for some reason, and i thought he was referring to grandpa... but no, it was a different raven, a raven by the name of "Rawlin". So i requested an audience with him... and the civilian pointed me to the croc swamps and it's HQ.
After arriving to said HQ, i saw a Raven glider quickly get away from the HQ when i arrived, i gasped and thought it was Rawzsom... so i followed this "Rawlin" guy whom i thought was grandpa and when i landed my Nightraven jet back the Raven HQ, i'd gasped and it WASN'T him after all! So i explained to him that, was my father and grandfather okay...?
...and he said... they sadly passed... (Press your dollar sign key to pay respects )
...So i panicked and lost hope... until i accused "Rawlin" of destroying the Wings Row Monarchy which i was heir to the throne to, and which he stated that "There is no more Monarchy" or something... and something about this "Talon Industries" and something...
That's when he wanted me to be detained and held captive... so nets were launched on me and i noticed a weird cone-shaped vehicle arising from the modern-looking HQ, and i wondered, what the brick he was doing! So i struggled out of the net, only to be stabbed full of sedatives and fell asleep, unknowing he was raiding the Eagle Spires and it's HQ, i suddenly woke, up, wondering where the heck was everyone... and... well... i have limited time before those guards find me aboard this "Mobile Missile Command Ship" or something... just check up on the Eagle HQ and see whats going on...
This is Razic, Heir... no... leader to the old Wings Row Monarchy... signing off... to be continued... of sorts...
(oh man... the nostalgia this is bringing me, woo... anybody feel like i should continue this?)
Welcome Ladies and Gentelmen, to Chima Public Broadcasting, the chief competitor to The Raven report, except we are much better, we have personality and if you want you can write about whatever news your tribe is doing.
Lion battle - cowardice or genius? The battle at the lion city has gone on for quite a while now. Well King Lionel has had enough of this, and has called for a ceasefire. His only real major support is Sir General Bismarck. The lions have asked for the withdrawal of the ravens and the crocs from all fields of battle, and that the only real reward is that they get to regroup. To which King Crogall said: "U mad bro?" I am paraphrasing of course. Now King Lionel has admitted that the crocs have no reason to withdraw as they have already laid waste to the lower city and could break through (possibly if the bears declare war on the gorillas, we will get to that later). So this brings up a question? Are the lions showing their weakness? In that they are willing to surrender. Or is it a tactical move of genius to convince other tribes that they are reasonable and to help rebuild themselves. If I was King Crogall I would rally all the forces on a push on the lions, and try to get the rhinos and gorillas on my side.
Gorilla Paranoia. An interesting situation has rolled out at the Gorilla HQ. A rude bear ambassador has threatened the gorillas with war and says that the ravens and crocs will peace out with them and attack the gorillas. The gorillas responded by getting crazy paranoid, and sending out ambassadors (possibly looking for an alliance with the ravens, crocs and wolves, cant say yet). The gorillas also loaded a new mega shell into there canon and began rapid increase in military strength on top of their current power. Whoever side the gorillas join they will have a powerful new ally.
West sea colonization. A naval arms race. And a theatre of peace? The west Sea has opened up and tribes are racing to become a dominant power there. The gorillas were first to set up a port base there. However the crocs were the first to deploy a ship in the West Sea, deploying an Imperator Class battlecruiser. I wonder what they called it. This was followed by them begging a rapid construction project of a new port city, this was followed by a major lion settlement and 300 yards south of that own a raven resort opened up. This was followed by the construction of a major bear settlement just north of the lions with a tower, long range cannons, radar technology and concrete walls. Then the Gorillas deployed 2 U-boat Mk. VII submarines. Is this the beginning of a massive naval arms race between the different tribes? The lion, croc and gorilla settlements also began to rapidly expand. Do they have new plans? The theatre of the western sea is also bizzare because its relatively peaceful, ravens and lions were seen laughing and joking about right next to one another. This feels like a paradise of peace in the constant stream of endless war.
Edit: this post has weird properties, I have tried all I don't why it looks so weird.
Report No.4... I think
(boi, ya gotta keep this news reports up, i'd love to see more from you! )
Every screen in Chima displays the Crawler Empire symbol, and then Scorpix' face.
"Greetings. This is Supreme Leader Scorpix, leader of the Scorpions while the Prince and King are captive and Dr. Scortica is locking himself in his Labs creating who-knows-what. I would like a moment of your time. First, it should become clear to every sentient being by now that the gorillas are xenophobics. Every time we've moved into an uninhabited land or land that kind tribes are graciously sharing with us, the gorillas attack and try to destroy our settlements of innocent civilians. The prime example of this is at Eagle Spire, in which the gorillas demanded that a century-old tribe abandon their century-old HQ just because new species moved in. The gorillas threatened to destroy the eagles and their HQ if the eagles didn't force their immigrant friends (us) out immediately. When we Crawlers complied and left the spire, the gorillas proceeded to blast and damage the spire. Let me ask you this, inlanders: why would the gorillas still fire after we left the spire? Because they are xenophobics, and can't accept the idea of letting new species live in another tribe's territory, even after that tribe agreed to share the land with us!" "There is further evidence that the Gorillas arexenophobics. Gorbav claimed that peace was offered to us, which couldn't be more false. Every time we tried to move into the inlands peacefully, we were driven out, so we had to create an empire and conquer or share land. Why'd we conquer parts of the inlands? Because the Outlands are too dangerous to live in forever."
*Footage of Father Grigori, Crawlers, and other Outland inhabitants being attacked by predator plants. Cut to footage of the beautiful, uninhabited regions of Chima that have since been claimed by the Crawlers. Recent footage is then shown of that land being burned and ravaged by the gorillas, lions, and bears.*
"Now that you know our motives, you must want to know why we drained Cavora. We apologize, which is why we, the Crawlers, restored the Chi falls. Why are the gorillas, lions, and other tribes still attacking our rightfully-conquered or shared land after we've righted our only wrong?!
OOC: Only people who run CPB, get the message, so no, not every screen.
IC: *Rupee makes adjustments in technology to permanently stop crawler hijacks of the channel, ending their propaganda on CPB*
OOC: LOL, I remember this news war between the Crawlers and gorillas.
