Log #100: Centenario
Well, this is it. One hundred logs. So time for a special edition I think. Just stick a different bodykit on it, limit production and sell it for 10 times more! Another reason why Lamborghinis are rubbish.
Also, they can't get over speed bumps. Which is a problem because I have a VERY BIG bump in my way right now. It probably stretches halfway to Jupiter.
I call The Girl. Maybe I can explain. She picks up. YES!
"I KNOW IT'S YOU MURPHY. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" The phone goes silent. I never knew she had that kind of anger in her.
Sooooo... time to come up with a plan to win her back. You're probably wondering why I'd try something so unlikely. But The Girl meant so much to me, and I want to get revenge on those bullies. Besides, I managed to even attract her in the first place which was probably a one-in-a-million shot. I should have betted on it.
I'll probably talk to Mike about it tomorrow. At least I can trust him... I hope...
Special edition over. Any buyers? Come on, it's got an extra 20 horsepower and super-limited-edition yellow paint. It's even got an industrial shredder as a front grille. No buyers? Guess I'll have to build a Roadster version as well. Oh, and a chrome wrapped one with neon purple stripes.

Log #101: The Rebuild
I go to college as usual. Thank goodness I don't have Maths because I wouldn't be able to deal with that. I meet up with Mike in my usual spot during the break. I had a few encounters with The Girl but she didn't even look at me. Of course she's not at the hangout. No need to drown in false hope.
I stand there for at least a minute saying nothing. My minute's silence to remember when things were good. Finally Mike speaks up.
"Hey Murphy, you look troubled. Anything up? Not more trolls again?"
I already told him about the Youtube trolling, so I inhale. "The trolls managed to take a photo of me at a strange perspective that made it look like I was holding hands with some other girl. Posted it online and now The Girl's dumped me." Tears start creeping out of my eyes as Mike gasps. "She took back everything, says she hates me, my LEGO, everything. I need to convince her that it wasn't my fault, but right now she's completely cut me off and blocked me out."
The news sinks in as the tears roll down my nose and cheeks.Mike speaks up. "I feel so sorry for you. I've never even been in a relationship like that so I wouldn't know, but it must be awful for you. I'm sure you can win her back though. Just give it enough time for the initial shock to wear away, but not so long that she finds another guy." Those last few words send shivers right through my body. "Whatever happens, I'm on your side, and you can always talk to me about it."
As much as I dislike trusting people, I think I've got to trust Mike with my secrets if I'm going to have any hope at rebuilding my life.
Now, my parents. Do I tell them? I'll leave it. I can find excuses.

Log #102: Blocked Out
Now for the class I've been dreading: Maths. Normally I'd look forward to it, but this time I'm not. Because I'm sat next to The Girl, who no longer likes me. Now, how to cause the least awkwardness possible...
I arrive five minutes early to make sure I'm there before The Girl. Walking in and sitting down next to her would be too much for me to handle. My reasoning is proved to be successful as the room is deserted. Gradually people arrive but The Girl is nowhere to be seen.
Alex and Ethan arrive. I decide not to tell them anything. I don't know if I can trust them yet, if at all. But it seems my hand is forced. "Hey," Alex asks. "Where's ________?"
In case you haven't read my previous year's diary (thank you for respecting my privacy if that's the case), I don't ever refer to The Girl by name. But in any case, I hav eto make up an excuse FAST. "Erm, she's got a lot of work and is probably still in the library." I could elaborate, but every detail is a potential place for someone to pick a hole in your lie.
The Girl arrives. She sits next to me, making no eye contact. She says nothing as she unpacks for the lesson.I'm not sure what her game is - is she trying to deliberately block me out and ignore me, or is she just testing me? I decide to take a risk. After all, there isn't much to lose right now.
"Hey ________, you OK-?" I ask. Better not waste time. "I can explain."
"Don't talk to me." The Girl says in a quiet but aggressive tone. It sounds forced right from the back of the throat. She really has changed, and I'm not liking this. But I guess I'll have to be persistent.
"But it wasn't m-"
"I said don't talk to me." The Girl repeated. This will be much harder than I thought.
The teacher enters the room and we all go silent. The lesson continues as normal. But then the teacher drops a bombshell. "Discuss with the person next to you how you'd find the gradient of a curve." OK, I guess I'll have to...
"Hey, you could use a tangent or find the derivat-"
"What part of don't talk to me do you not get?" The Girl snaps. She then returns to her new default state: looking nowhere, saying nothing. I'm honestly worried for her - perhaps there's a much deeper problem going on? But I'll never be able to fix it if she keeps cutting me off like this.
At the end of the lesson, The Girl gives me one more thought to dwell on. "It's over." she hisses, reminding me of Gollum. Then she hurriedly leaves the room.
It looks like I need a big plan if I'm going to get myself out of the hole that the trolls dug for me...
OK, I've got an idea. But it's going to be crazy risky.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To win back The Girl and reform a relationship. SECONDARY OBJECTIVES: To rip apart Dom's gang, to gain "cool points" with the rest of college, to have fun.
Yes, this might well happen. Just you wait until you see what the plan is.
METHOD:
Infiltrate Dom's JDM gang. Of course, this will require me to wait until I get my driving license and buy a car. If this is the plan, looks like I'll go with the Celica. I'll have to tune/rice the car a little, but I don't want to go too far. I'll probably also have to be slightly disguised. A different hairstyle and clothes will do the trick.
Build trust within the gang.
Try not to break driving laws too often.
Call the police on the gang and cause it to implode. If the gang are doing other dodgy stuff as well as tuning, this will be much easier.
Gain cool points.
Win back The Girl.
It sounds really far-fetched, but it's all I've got. If it fails, it'll ruin my life. But it's already ruined. Fight fire with fire, they say.
I take a deep breath. There is no turning back now.
It's been a hectic time, and I haven't found much time to write. So since the last log...
I passed my driving test. My instructor said I was a "natural driver". Not a single fault!
I found a Celica for sale. Planning to buy it next week if my inspection doesn't show any problems. Under £1000 as well!
The Girl hasn't uttered a word to me. I'm really worried that she's getting into something bad. Although that's a tad hypocritical considering what I'm about to do...
I got a new haircut. Now I could probably fit in with Dom's lot.
I got a part-time-job at a mechanic shop to pay for insurance, fuel and modifications.
I look almost completely different, so hopefully Dom won't recognise me. I've shopped around for insurance and it actually works out cheaper than a 1.0 Fiesta. Win!
My parents have asked me what's happenning with The Girl since they haven't seen much of her. For now I'm just saying that she's busy with schoolwork. Least awkward way to do it.
Now... do I start with a new exhaust or a bodykit?
