Welcome to a new series on the organisation of the Royal Army of the Lion Kingdom, as well as their equipment and tactics. Let's start by the basics.
A Lion Infantryman
(Combat Helmet, worn by riflemen)
The Royal Army is an ancient organisation, which has accompanied the Lion civilisation throughout its defeats and victories. At its base, supported by armoured elements, aviation and artillery, crawling through mud and forests are the highly trained riflemen.
Weapons & Gear:
(Camouflage cape, worn by infantrymen,)
The standard rifleman carries about 3000 Crowns (Lion currency) worth of equipment, spread over 30 kilograms into battle. It includes one automatic rifle with three magazines and a bayonet, a handgun, two grenades, one helmet and a ballistic vest capable of withstanding small arms fire, accompanied by a tactical load vest over it, a reversible camouflage cape, a gas mask, a mess kit, a canteen, a ball-point pen and map case, a radio and an emergency ration. He generally leaves the rest of his equipment and personal items back at base from which he operates.
Training & Recruitment:
The Royal Army maintains several bases around towns, that double as recruitment and training centres. To join the Infantry, recruits are required to be at least 18 years old, fit the height/weight requirements, and not have any crippling disabilities, have perfect or correctable vision, be sane, and harbour no communicable/crippling mental or physical diseases. The maximum joining age is 40 for combatants, and 45 for non-combatants. Recruits must also have committed no serious crimes.
Basictraining lasts 8 weeks, and is the same for all combatants in the Lion Army. It is comprised of physical fitness and dexterity training, firearms care, marksmanship and operation basics, education on core principles of the Lion Army, and basic field skills, such as navigation and operation of issued equipment. At the end of training, a Lion Soldier should be able to:
Perform 20 push-ups in two minutes.
Run 3 kilometres in 15 minutes.
Perform a 10 kilometre march, fully equipped, in four hours.
Have 60% accuracy on marksmanship tests from 50 to 300 metres.
Demonstrate understanding of issued equipment, radio use and procedure, and have basic navigation skills.
Pass through a general Aptitude Test.
Besides basic training, the recruit will be submitted to another 4 week specialization course, and may choose to become a gunner, a sniper, a platoon leader, a grenadier, or a simple rifleman. After all of this, a rifleman will be deployed to the region where he was recruited, to defend his family and nation.
Motto: "For Chima, and the Downfall of Outland Monarchs; We Will Never Be Forgotten!"
The Forgotten are a Guerilla group of Outlanders capable of large military activities, if resources are supplied well. This faction of rebel Scorpions and Spiders are refugees of peasants from both spider and scorpion kingdoms. Said peasants were tired and fed up with their kings and queens, such heresy were committed from the 'lords' that the outlanders were traumatized. The Forgotten follows two Stomper Scorpion Brothers by the name of Scorion and Scrin. Ever Since they rallied up some monarch-hating scorpions and spiders, they conducted regular raids on armories of the two tribes, managing to steal most of the outland weapons from their HQ's. With also the help of 'faithful' scientists, the military rebellion group is beginning to be armed and loaded with very destructive SCUD Stinger Missiles and have begun constructing SCUD Sites in the Iron mountains undercover and have almost-operational sites in the outland mountain range near Black Fang Mountain, which could sour more ties with the Bats. Since they want bats in their leagues, they once tried to attack the Black Fang Mountain, which ended in a horrible casualty-ridden catastrophe as The Forgotten lost about half of their men before retreating back to their base, which is Aperture Mesa East, and hopefully, the Lion HQ. Their most prominent members being Scordon Freeman and Spalyx Vance, as they are their top two warriors and commanders, even if one is silent but not mute. Even if they would surpass fighting skills of that of the Stomper Scorpion Brothers Scrin and Scorion. The Forgotten sympathize for Cavora's troubles, they always think chi SHOULD be used well and wisely, plus shared, and not hoarded. That's why Scrin is currently negotiating with King Lionel, and Scorion is heading his troops over to the Lion pastures to help defend against the pirates that are raiding it. The Inlanders would have to get used to their rough-handling in warfare, but with help of Scrin, Freeman, Vance and Scorion, the rebel outlanders will do their best to protect the inlands from the outland threat that is currently growing with Blistion and Scorm's forces getting ready to attack. As long as they get along with the inlanders, they will be Never Forgotten.
Guess whaaat? I made a picture of Scrin! Well, two ones to see which one is better-aesthetically. So, i will see which one is better for the upper torso look for Scrin. So, i wish i could hold a poll but, just see which one is better. One is a full-body of Scrin, the other is a upper torso of Scrin with different color designs and more detail, along with inspiration and refrence images next to it.

OOC: I thought the Forgotten were just a band of rag-tag militiamen.

OOC: You're gonna have a hard time with this war going on...
(OOC: Er, by “organize”, i mean making them more awesome in insurgent ops and guerrilla warfare. Since im conscripting inland tribes, its gonna very versatile, yes?)

Alrighty lemme just give you my bio for Forgotten soldiers. ;)The Forgotten Grunt
Classification: Guerrilla Warfare, Urban Warefare, Guards, Front-lines man, combat medics, etc. Basically, they are very well versatile “soldiers”.
Apperance and garments: They are clad in stolen Civil Protection Uniform parts, like the heavy kevlar and steel vests and undergarments. These undergarments are made out of denim and leather materials, although not good for stopping bullets, the vests are perfect materials for bullet-proof vests. All vests have a crudely spray-painted orange “lambda” symbol on them along with forgotten logos on their shoulders. The vests bring a direct heart-shot, hard to execute without a powerful calibre of near or as .50 cal. Along those vests are fannie packs on their backs for ammo resupply. Giving any chi-based ammo to themselves or allies. They wear dark grey beanies on their heads, some colored to their wearer’s preference, making them easy to spot due to such odd color choices, like hot pink to electric cyan and neon green, oddly. The Apperance of these are as below, males to the left, females to the right, and as minifigure torsos and legs. Beanie cap usually molded onto the crawler hats if such production molds come in. Nods to the forth wall, if you will.
Medic outfits look like these variations as below.
Equipment: It is just standard barebones for any typical soldier and guard. Primary, sidearm, melee, radios, chi and just a spirit for fighting. These guys are faced to face deadly outland environments, brutal combat situations, and a whole lotta stuff in between. Ideas of command are bounced off each and every soldier, so all units in a fighting group work together for a common goal. And such, their fighting strategies evolve to work with other armies and co-op with them. They are rough and rowdy, and not a good thing to battle against. They often start rivalries with other teams of inland armies due to how under-disciplined they are.
Specific gear: A standard Issue “MChi-7”, Its typically a secondary arm if other arms aren’t available in a given area. This SMG is capable of Alt. Fire by throwing rifle-launched chi-based grenades, but is rarely used by grunts unless in dire situations with armored units. Apperance is as below, Haven’t colored it in yet.
There are other weapons left behind by fallen Black Overwatch soldiers, like a sometimes plentiful standard main Armament, the Black Overwatch Standard Issue Advanced Spikorr, or BOSIAS for short. This rifle is more powerful than its older model. As it has an arm stock, faster fire rate, better chi efficiency, and all around better stats than its predecessor. It is used as a main arm for any willing Forgotten to wield its power. The gun has been modified to have an attachment that launches chi-orb-based energy-balls. There the chi orb is weaponized using unstable energy inside it to turn it volatile and deadly against organic opponents. However, they cannot cause friendly-fire, since these energy balls bounce all over the place in tight-knit spaces. The gun looks like this below.
Melee are just old (t)rusty crowbars of the Soldiers color choice. Nothing too special here unless they have chi-using melee such as sting hammers or “barrowed” lion melee weapons, like the valious. (Uncolored, but i will get em colored later. )
Training: Of these soldiers are very unknown, and often classified. But a good duo to know how they work is with Freeman and Vance’s words, alongside with Scrin. But this gives them the necessary information for combat of various types. They have many liberties compared to other inland armies, and they can choose whatever class that fits their specific requirements and interests. Due to them being “insurgents” as called by lions, they preform such unorthodox behavior and tactics to confuse or demoralize their foes. Even going far as to legitimately wrestle with foes when melee combat is just not enough. No matter how inexperienced or how terrible the soldiers are, they still put their heart and soul into how much they love to support Freedom and Democracy. That said, their undying loyalty to their faction is just like the bats to Jgread.

Yes I have. I assume that you want me to give my own opinion on them, right?
I know this won't happen again, but if I have to quell a little insurrection from these chaps, they are the perfect targets. They wear a very distinctive uniform, I mean, who wears candy-coloured beanies and fanny packs on their backs, amongst people with clothing from the early 20th century.
Also, I am no expert on ballistics, but I'm quite sure that a kevlar and steel vest that can withstand something short of .50 would be quite heavier and bulkier than apparent. Besides, those vests are practically useless if you don't give them at least steel helmets, because any sane person would go for their limbs or heads. They seem quite vulnerable to shrapnel.
Then, you have a gun whose projectiles bounce around the place ... How in the world did that get approved? It's a miracle that they haven't yet found the need to enter in urban combat: blue on blue fire would be terrible. At least they have the SMG.
