The Dalian forces prepare for battle.
1,000 Longbows - 1,200 MWE
250 Lake-town Guardians - 500 MWE
100 Swordmasters - 300 MWE
250 Earls - 1,000 MWE
125 Beast Slayers - 1,000 MWE
Total - 4,000 MWE
These forces move towards the Gondorian castle from behind. The Longbows rain their armor-piercing missiles down on the half-trolls.
The formation looks like this. (I've used the first letter of each unit to represent them. Lake-town Guardians are represented by LT.) The front line is facing the castle.

OOC: Better than having the roof fall on top of you. A solid stone floor of that size would require it to be in an arch or to have a load of pillars supporting it to keep it up. Hence why they used wood. Not to mention that it allows heat to pass through it much better which allowed the whole thing to heated easier, but that is not relavent here
Now, I would like to point out that your archers just exited the castle, so they are immediately next to the walls, and my h-trolls are slightly further back stopping them from going anywhere. Think about that, and then see why you don't want to do this Also, by testudo I mean they held a shield above their heads and the other one behind them so they didn't get shot. They ran all together too Much less cohesive than I led you to believe
*The trebuchets launch burning oil-filled ceramic projectiles into the Keep and your archers, lighting the other wooden floors on fire* (Didn't I burn most of that scaffolding? ) *Most of the Red Shields and Linesmashers form a true testudo at the bottom of your ladders, waiting for them to get part way down before smashing the ladders. At this point there is no masonry that can be pushed onto them at this side of the Keep because it, y'know, fell off or was already pushed off * *A small amount of h-trolls charge up to the walls and smash the archers there. They use shields to defend themselves from the archers there (SUrely only 10-20 archers are there, a quarter of the keep fell on top of them ) *
OOC: True.
The archers are within the walls. The trolls are outside the walls.
The ladders are within the keep. They need said ladders to get out of the castle. Unless your trolls go inside the keep, in which case:
The archers stand back and fire at the Linesmashers from above, drilling shots into them from this vantage point.
Also, if your artillery is firing at the keep, the trolls would be hit by friendly fire.
OOC:
Ah, I meant Keep. If your archers have just tryed to exit the Keep they will be held just outside it, at the point where all the masonry would be falling because you can't throw it Oh, that makes sense Let me retake that, but do remember that one wall of the Keep is exposed comepletely so I know every move that your archers are making en masse.
*My trebs still do the same, and once your archers reach the bottom several of them launch the oil rounds at them* *The Red Shields form shield walls at every entrance up to the walls and at the holes in the walls. The Linesmashers are behind these shield walls and they have shields on the top as well. (Roof of shields, from other Red Shields ) They await your archers coming down*

I want to say that a mystical force means that only man-made structures can have fire spread But that works too. So almost no spreading, and the fire isn't sustained for more than 2-3 turns. Sound good?
Out of 10 Trebs and 35 S-ballistae, I reckon that this wall came up in front of the trebs and 15 or so of the S-ballistae. That leaves 20 or so to come into range and fire, correct?
Yep, that works.
Yes, I think that's accurate. So some siege ballistae could come into range, but given how slow they are, I would say a hasty retreat is out of the question. Your move, I guess.
masterlegobuilders, what troops and artillery are facing me currently, and what are their positions? I realize you've moved your troops around and I'm not sure what I'm still up against.
*My troops make a loose formation, but are ready to change into a different one at a moment's notice.*
*In this manner, they advance towards the fortress itself, and the troops attacking it.*
*The group that previously engaged the troops from Pelargir moves up to engage this force. They join up with the force at the castle (Excluding the Half-trolls) and are out of range of your hobbit archers by a little (Longbow beats Hobbit bow )* *They form a similar formation to before, and the siege weapons and archers fire at your Dunedain. The onagers fire into your hobbits with oil cannisters (Same as Rex is using) *
OOC: To be clear, this force is made up of:
From the Pelargir side: 1000 Pikemen 1000 Shieldmen 1000 Swordsmen 1000 Haradrim Archers 10 Mumakil S. Weapons 40 Scorpions 30 Ballistae 15 Siege Ballistae
From Castle: 500 Desert Shades, 1000 MWE 230 Men of the Red Serpents, 1150 MWE S. Weapons 10 Onagers (Actually from the group near Rex, whoops )
That should be about right
*One my troops get close, the Hobbit archers move away from the main force. They then get close enough so that they are in range, returning fire on the archers, as well as peppering the infantry. They maintain a loose formation, so as to be less of a target for the onagers.*
*The rest of my forces break out of formation and into a dead run towards your troops. In the front are the Hill-men, who begin screaming blood-curdling war cries. Following behind at a slightly more measured pace are the Rangers and Militia, who still stay close behind the Hill-Men.*

The Siege Ballistae target the Mumakil and fire carefully aimed shots at the vital organs. The massive bolts of these weapons should make short work of these monsters from afar.

{JAMMERS! -GOOD- ONLY!} LegoBuilder, could you possibly spare some of the new arrivals up near my position? Preferably an infantry assault on the southern flank of the Umbarans I'm facing. I'd like to do a three-pronged attack on them, with my infantry moving in front of them, my cavalry attacking them from the north, and your infantry attacking from the south. Thoughts?

*The half-trolls move off the walls and the Linesmashers destroy the ways onto them, all while under the cover of the Red Shields to pevent them being smashed by the Longbows. They then move to the opposite side of the castle to these troops in testudos and form up in the gap in the wall in a larger Testudo. Your Longbows can't hit them now because the keep is in the way* *The trebuchets fire spiky chain shot (Multiple spiked balls about 6 inches in diameter) over the Keep and into your Longbows with the help of spotters. 2 of them fire several ceramic balls full of oil with a burning rag of a similar size at your Longbows, setting those beautiful fur coats on fire *

That should be all. In addition: *1000 Haradrim Archers cross the river and join this force* *667 Horse Archers (I don't remember the name of them ) cross the river and ride unnoticed to Pelennor Fields in the far North of the region*

He'll be sent to Khand, then Rhun, then Mordor, and all the way back to Harad in a loop because you can't occupy an HQ for that long Or he'll be hidden in a dungeon 60 feet under the sea
