OOC: I suppose I should have asked for a troops list.
IC: If the enemy are wielding halberds or other polearms, the cavalry evade them, or equip lances.
Not many of them would be.
They are not.
OOC: 35 Gondorian Trebuchets and 100 Osgiliath Guardsmen.
IC: Did the Morgul Cavalry come with lances? I can't remember.
Against heavy Gondorian plate I doubt that long range shots from a (presumably) small horse archer bow on the back of a moving camel would have effect.
Thank you.
IC: pretty certain. Or at least spears.
The cavalry run the enemies down again this time with polearms and lances, wiping them out. Trebuchets are captured and turned against the keep.
Once most trebuchets are captured or destroyed, Mumaks move in raining arrows on enemies. In the hail, arrows sometimes find their mark on the enemy armor. The Mumaks trample guardsmen as well.

OOC: Shamrock's troop list makes it clear that the Riders do, but he doesn't say anything about the Captains.
IC: The Guardsmen crouch down, allowing the lance to go over their heads. They sweep their halberds up into the underbelly of the Morgul cavalry. Siege Operators begin to cut the ropes on the trebuchets, making them unusable.
OOC: There isn't anyone in the keep. You can stop attacking it now.

OOC: It would be silly not to. Also, Ok, easier for me.
IC: The extremely elite riders compensate, and the mail on the horse turns many blows. Some do fall.
The main force circles around the last remnants of the Osgiliath Guardsmen. They rain arrows inward, then do a massive cavalry surge from one side, then repeat.
After a while, Mumaks come in, and stomp the remaining guards. And that try to escape are slain by the cavalry which rides ever inwards. Even if they make it past that, the Mobile forces sit ready to slay them.

OOC: Can we say the battle is won?
OOC: Yeah, that's fine.
IC: The Gondorian siege operators cut all the ropes on the trebuchets and remove a few pegs, making them inoperable. They are then smashed by the cavalry. Mumakil stomp on the trebuchets, get nasty splinters, and crush the siege engines.
There are still 10,000 MWE from Rohan here. The Gondorians are gone, but the others are still here.
Yeah I misunderstood you
Oh, so everyone else is still here? Alright then. I think I have 5,000 MWE of Rohirrim and 5,000 MWE of Mirkwood elves here, I'm not sure about the others.

OOC: The only difference between two is that the Captains- horses have full armour, and the units are twice as good.
