Umm. . . Your archers were climbing a mountain, and I waited long enough that your archers should have a very hard time catching up.
*My troops continue their retreat, once reaching the edge of the Carrock swerving back towards the mountains.*
You said that as soon as they start climbing, and my arrchers could run down*
*They are ridden down by my cavalry taking heavy losses* *The archers contune to fire from the trees*
umm. . . That's pretty close to accurate too. The Archers climbing a mountain would take a long time to get up/down.
*The Cavalry are stopped by the DAORVs surrounding the rest of the troops.* Wait, now their in trees? I'm moving as far away from you as possible, no-one would be able to get close except your melee units or cavalry.

OOC: As soon as they start? Since they take one step up, and then can step right back down.
OOC2: Ok Hold on. Let me get this straight, your troops are surrounded by your metal boxes, yet still are moving at a run? How does this work? KitKat What do you think?

OOC: First off, when you say When they start, that implies that My troops see them first, which means that they'd have to be on the mountains at least, so. . . Also, Good Idea, run your troops into the ground chasing mine before they fight!

If they're maintaining any semblance of formation, then the entire army will be confined to the speed of the slowest unit. If your troops are charging in a given direction, but are not switching up the orders of their ranks, then each rank will be confined to the speed of the rank in front of them. If you couldn't care less about your troops organization but just want them to get somewhere, then your fastest troops will naturally pass the slower ones and end up in the front of the army. In this case, where MM's tanks are surrounding the army, everyone's going to be going only as fast as the tanks are. Actually, given his armies numbers, everyone's going to be going slower than the tanks normally would because they'd all have to be so packed together to be surrounded by the tanks (assuming that there are enough tanks to surround them even if they are packed together).

Well my cavalry are up ahead. Then the infantry are in a simi-loose order, than my archers are spread out, attacking MM's forces.

what about the fact that his archers (the part I'm actually protesting him attacking me) were up a mountain by some ways.

Well, as 8L talked about, how long it takes them to get down will depend upon how much time they spent climbing up. However, being only in the foothills of the mountains (maybe the lower slopes), getting down will be relatively easy, and significantly faster than climbing up. You guys have a better idea than I do of the positioning and distance of your troops, so you'll have to agree on what the final result is. Getting down the mountain, however, would be fairly easy.
Also, I noticed that you said you were heading towards the Carrock. If you plan on crossing the river there, you will have to move over to the Beorning HQ.

We're right at the base of the mountains. You know what. . . *The Troops all surrender and are smashed.*
may as well, it's only marginally slower, and much less arguing.
