OOC: Gentlemen, can we all just agree that MM's troops successfully left the Gladden Fields but upon arriving here were stopped by 8L's troops? I think that's a reasonable conclusion, and frankly this arguing is taking up unnecessary time.
OOC: That's what I've agreed to. Might still be arguing in the Gladden with KK, but that should stop soon. IC: *The Orcs stand ready at the base of the mountains/on the lower slopes of the mountains.*

*my troops wait.* 80% on the elevated land.
OOC: Sorry I've been really busy with finals. OOC2: We should be in battle time so that elevated land would be around 20%. IC: *The beornings advance within bow range and let loose volleys of long feathered, iron headed, arrows. Upon the goblins smashing many. * OOC: They also target the trolls especially.

*The Trolls hide behind the Tanks, along with non-archer unitry.*
OOC: It's OK, I am patient enough.

OOC: You know I'm coming from both directions. Right? Also see my OOC2:. OOC2: Who's shields are these? And are you firing almost straight up? Since the effectiveness of a crossbow is drastically reduced by firing at an angle. OOC3: Trolls can't really hide that much. IC: *The archers spread out so to reduce losses. And the infantry fall back out of range.* *The archers fire again targeting the arrchers.* OOC4: Patience is a Virtue.

OOC: That's not true, you didn't advance on me until it was at 80%, meaning that we hadn't yet entered Battle Time. My troops couldn't move on without initiating battletime, but they weren't yet within it. don't try to argue me on this, I've went through similar arguments way to much. Also, I did say that I'm on the edge of the mountains in an advantageous spot, and it could be elevated that way. The Shields are the Flight of the Uruks. They are Roman shields, lifted by the Uruks shoulder as he reloads and fires. And they're firing at the right angle for maximum effectiveness, yes. Also, while Trolls can't hide that much, ducking behind a tanks, no matter how much he'd have to duck, would still reduce the chances of you hitting a vital point. *The Archers fire at the Archers, hitting more than yours due to their extra range advantage.* Which is why you put archers of any kind on the high ground.

OOC: Sorry I was really busy and didn't have time to reply to this. OOC2: I would have advanced sooner, I just got busy and kept forgetting about it, beside you should have been in battle time as soon as you entered. Beside rexes cavalry was here to prevent you from building. OOC3: Ok, but there isn't very many shields for as many arrows as there is. OOC4: Good, I know it would help a little, but trolls and hiding don't go together. OOC5: I would have you know that a longbow would have the better range compared to a crossbow, and certionally better rate of fire.
IC: *All troops run out of range, they start to clime the mountains to get the range advantage* *Once they get to a good position the archers start raining arrows down on the orcs and trolls smashing many*

OOC: Actually, while the Beornings and Cavalry prevented me from moving, no-one had yet forced me into Battle Time. As for the arrow comment, their is 2-3 troops hiding behind each shield, and due to the size of the Roman Shield, it should be fine. Yeah, but every little bit counts.
IC: The second your troops start climbing the mountains out of range, My troops make a break for it, heading in the Direction of the Carrock. That would be. . . South-East from here? pretty sure. might be South-West.
