Let's talk about NPC profiles. First of all, colors. Lion Knights can be the color (I don't know if it's Blue or Dark Blue) that Shamrock has already used for his characters. Dragon Knights should be Red. Forest Band should be Green. Shadow Warriors should be Black. Mercenaries/unassociated characters should be either Purple or Orange (we should vote on it). Characters who are associated with groups that aren't HQs (Xains, minotaurs, soldiers from the North) should be Yellow. I will send the message to Shamrock once we're decided. Or, since he'll probably be reading this, he'll just do it.
Hello, I am thinking about joining this RP while I wait for the Chima RP to get good again. Could I get a quick run-down on how this RP works and a summary of the major events so far? Thanks.
Absolutely! Welcome to the Castle RP! Our HQs are the Lion Knights, the Dragon Knights, the Shadow Warriors, the Forest Band, and the Mercenaries (which isn't really an HQ, but the place for people who don't want to belong to an HQ). While it started out as a normal RP with different factions fighting each other, it has now become more of these factions working together to stop common threats. These threats (called Events) so far have been controlled by me, but soon some of the other RPers will be trying their hands at running Events.
The first Event was the Darkness, where RPers had to get six elemental Crystals to stop the coming apocalypse. Immediately after was the Tower of Time, where the RPers had to make their way to the top of said Tower to get a seventh Crystal. Then was the Stennev'avfjellan Civil War, when the HQs sent their troops to the North to help their chosen factions. Next came the rise of the Bears, a group that was building up power in the Ruins of the Pine Forest, assisted by a mysterious far-away empire called the Xains. The current Event is the Xain invasion, in which the RPers are trying to stop this massive army from conquering the continent. They are all fighting in or around the Dragon Knights castle, assisted by foreign allies and the powerful armies of the Kriatoma and the minotaurs.
There is a considerable amount of Lore in our Lore/Worldbuilding topic, but it's not strictly necessary for you to read it. What's more important is the map, which can tell you where you need to go to get to the different locations, but that unfortunately is not available right now due to the closure of the LEGO Galleries. Until I find a new place to put it, just come to me with any questions. You should also read the rules found near the bottom of the first page of this topic. There are a few things that aren't included in the rules. I will list them below.
Mounts of any kind are not allowed. Anything really out of the ordinary must get approval first. Tier 6 spells cannot be cast by a single wizard. Two or more wizards must work together to cast them. There is a second magic system called old magic, which must be learned. Characters cannot start with ability to use it.
Old Magic can be learned by anyone with the wizard class by going to the Ruins of the Pine Forest and speaking with Gidie. It takes ten posts (ten days) to learn. Alternatively, it could be learned by anyone with access to Gidie's library at the Ruins of the Pine Forest at a rate of twenty posts. Tier 1 spells: Infinite Tier 2 spells: Take 1 post (1 IRL day) Tier 3 spells: Take 2 posts (2 IRL days) Tier 4 spells: Take 4 posts (3 IRL days) Tier 5 spells: Take 6 posts (4 IRL days) Tier 6 spells: Take 8 posts (5 IRL days) All spells can be sped up with the help of more wizards. 1 fewer post per additional wizard. Creating Old Magic spells is difficult and sometimes dangerous. When a spell is cast that is Tier 4 or higher and has been made from scratch by the caster there is a 20% chance of failure and a 10% chance of backfiring. This happens every time the spell is cast until a successful casting is completed.
Thanks! So, would I be able to make a character from a far away kingdom that got destroyed, or would that contradict the lore?

No kingdoms have really been destroyed in a long time. If you want to make a character from somewhere farther away, I do recommend reading the lore. If you do that, we may be able to work out something similar to that idea, depending on the specific aspects you'd be looking for.

I think Purple is the best idea. this is going to be so good.
When I can figure out how to use the NPC profiles this will be good.
I haven't sent Shamrock anything yet, so I don't think they're properly enabled for us right now. And of course you can't use it before you send him your character.

So... Do I just send my character profile or somethin'?

Send him your name, title/affiliation, and avatar.
