I'm concerned about the potential this has. The magic we have, and the only magic I forsee getting approved, is the manipulation of Chi without a device. Nullification of said magic would require nullification of Chi, which is essentially the life force of Chima. Something capable of doing that would be able to bring Mount Cavora crashing down, and possibly revert Chimians to Legend Beasts. That level of power is not something I want players having.
Additionally, the ability to null Chi/magic/et cetera is not something we've seen in Chima canon. Also, where does it come from? The only people I can see being able to make something like that is the Phoenix, and they were lifted into the skies when Chi was created, and have not yet descended from Cavora. As well as the above points, it is arguably a weapon, and therefore cannot be indestructible as per the Roleplay Guidelines.
And yet the manipulation of Chi to form "magic" is totally okay. Mother of Primus...
There's a difference between using a magical resource to use magic and negating all forms of magic.
The magic I'm talking about has been a closely guarded secret of the Spiders and Mammoths. The mammoths are all either cursed, or the magical ones imprisoned in ice blocks. All Spider Mages serve Spelyne, so I would KNOW if there was another one. They are the only real magical users, besides the Phoenix.
Well other people have learned magic regardless of whether they’re mammoth or spider, so I’m just gonna go with what I have.
It was never my intent to null chi, just all magical manipulation of it. I view chi as nothing more then a complex power source. It would only null magical manipulation of chi. Vehicles, Weapons, and the whole turn into an Ultrabuild thing would be unaffected. Also YJF has said that his characters are exempt cause only their magic can take out their magic. Firstly I would like to ask if this has made it past the FAC. Secondly I would like to state that this device makes it so all magical manipulation of chi ceases to work. All of it. No exceptions.
Neither is half the things that are here. You guys just said we could have plasma weapons for crying out loud. Plasma can be way more powerful and abusive then this. I would say it was made by the Pheonix and left behind when they ascended. Ok, well then let's say it's made of a very very strong material. Like Steel. Yea, I can live with that.
No.
Yes, that's what it does. Please don't continue this discussion. It nulls all magic. That's the point of the item.

The thing is, it doesn't make sense for it to be able to null one manipulation of Chi, but not the rest. No, that hasn't been through the FAC.
We just rejected plasma weapon for the immediate future.
The Phoenix were lifted into the sky at the same second as Chi was created. If they did manage to make this, how did it end up where it is? Good.
I won't approve it because it doesn't fit with what we've seen in Chima canon. The magic we have approved is just a way to manipulate the power of Chi without using a blaster or other device. It's the sort of thing that one could see in canon Chima without any major changes to the world. Conjuration is wildly different from that.
You know what else doesn't fit with what we've seen in Chima canon? A giant missile being launch at MACH 2 with the power to destroy an entire island without even hitting it directly. Plasma weaponry of all things, which while you may not like it (at this time, since you implied it'll be fine after the fire vs ice plot thing you're bent on), the RP Rep himself is totally okay with it. Even so-called Chi magic isn't as believable as you say it is, considering we've only ever seen it manipulate its users itself, and have never seen it being manipulated by the users.
Furthermore, it's not necessarily supposed to fit in with Chima canon anyway. As discussed in his profile, the magic armor was left for him by an otherworldly entity, so it's already originally intended to be unlike anything else in Chima. I was originally gonna leave Jai without the armor, but then I realized he's going to need it to survive in this crazy world.
Can we have a little bit of consistency around here, please?
Could you direct me to the post containing this missile? I clearly missed it. Thanks.
In Chima canon, Chi orbs are manipulated by blaster to create bolt. The magic is essentially the same thing, with a different thing doing the manipulating.
That otherworldly entity will require FAC approval. It's possible to survive without magic armour; the rest of the RP gets along.
I am giving this a 2nd thought, how powerful are the explosions? also: FelipeDutraShamrock
They would be pretty big, but it's not going to be wiping out entire armies, fleets, and definitely not large cities in one shot. For example it'd be able to take sink a single cruiser in a fleet by putting a big hole in it or splitting it, but the entire cruiser wouldn't be completely incinerated, and the rest of the fleet would still be fine. If it were to be some smaller patrol boats then they might all be incinerated, assuming they weren't spread out a whole lot.
I request that you lower the power level, so that it is effective against smaller boats rather than larger ones.

There's a big difference between doing something similar to things we've seen and nulling a force capable of pulling mountains into the sky.

What does she use to power her explosions?
I’d rather not, and the damage comes with drawbacks. She can only create an explosion once a day, and is severely weakened after doing so, to the point she is unable to move for a couple minute afterwards.

It only nulls magical manipulation of Chi. It's what the device is tailored to do. The technical aspect of Chi is noticeably different from Magic because it uses Chi as a power source and not to manipulate reality. The device is capable of telling the difference between the two.
Small temple slipped off their landmass and fell to the ground burying itself deep with the amulet inside. I'm going to go inside it when this Amulet passes the FAC.
Thanks for spending to time to read this. You are litterly the only FAC member to comment.
All right, so as FelipeDutraShamrock and all the others users remember, we have had issues in the past with tech, at one point this rp was not very active and most users wanted to quit, and some did, due to the unregulated nature of tech, and unless we want another great big quitage I suggest we figure out something, on what power magic has, now if we remember the rules of the Fanon here it says No magic allowed, since we decided to introduce magic we need to start thinking what counts and what doesn't.
No character can use OP weapons, vehicles, or equipment. No immortality, magic, or super powers (other than ice/fire powers or that given through chi). No alternate sources or kinds of Chi.
That should be all of them. If I've missed any, please say so below.
To answer peoples question, no alternative sources of fuel, magic is still in debate right now.

As the one who initially brought the concept of magic to the forefront, I considered many possibilities. I have written rules and information on the type of magic Spiders and Mammoths use. I don't know about the Leopards or Vultures, and I would request that their type of magic be considered different from my own.
