Item: Amber Amulet Type: One of a Kind Power: Nulls any and all magic within a mile radius of user. Is formed from an indestructible dull bronze material. Location: Buried in the wastelands in a booby trapped cave.
I'm concerned about the potential this has. The magic we have, and the only magic I forsee getting approved, is the manipulation of Chi without a device. Nullification of said magic would require nullification of Chi, which is essentially the life force of Chima. Something capable of doing that would be able to bring Mount Cavora crashing down, and possibly revert Chimians to Legend Beasts. That level of power is not something I want players having.
Additionally, the ability to null Chi/magic/et cetera is not something we've seen in Chima canon. Also, where does it come from? The only people I can see being able to make something like that is the Phoenix, and they were lifted into the skies when Chi was created, and have not yet descended from Cavora. As well as the above points, it is arguably a weapon, and therefore cannot be indestructible as per the Roleplay Guidelines.
I'd like to submit a (currently) one of a kind mecha for approval: Unit Name: Kobuna
Appearance:
Power Source: Not chi, but rather the will power, determination, and life force of the pilot. It uses joints made with the same stone as speedorz wheels to harness this force and turn it into energy for movement. However it does have some built in technology powered by chi, mostly to make sure the speedorz stones don't absorb too much life force. These are replaced annually (Or some other long period of time so I never have to worry about it.)
General Attributes: - Speed: Depends on the terrain, but pretty quick considering what it is. Won't be able to outrun any Speedorz or other quick wheeled vehicles. - Armor: Decently thick, won't be blasted apart easily. - Strength: Decently Strong, won't be picking up battleships or anything like that - Armaments: A large sword, and two medium swords stored on hips or back. - Determination Boost: The more determined the user is, and the more life force he generates, the more powerful the mecha becomes. Speed, Durability, and Strength are all boosted exponentially based on how determined the user is. If there is enough of a will to continue then the mecha can even do things considered impossible, like repairing itself or generating and wielding new massive weapons. However those types of things revert back to nothing or as they were once the fight is over, and would require normal repairs to fix. - Size: Around 25 feet tall, assuming a minifig is 6 feet.
If this isn't approved initially, I'd like to know what could be done so it is approved. Also if anyone recognizes the show this design is emulating, you're the best
I really like the idea of this; not many people would think the harness a character's inner Chi to power a vehicle. The only thing I'd change is the consumption rate of the Chi orbs. It's generally agreed upon that an orb powers a vehicle for a few days at most. Obviously, in this case, it's just powering some add-on features, so it will last longer, but not that long. I'd say a couple of weeks to a month should be about right.

It was never my intent to null chi, just all magical manipulation of it. I view chi as nothing more then a complex power source. It would only null magical manipulation of chi. Vehicles, Weapons, and the whole turn into an Ultrabuild thing would be unaffected. Also YJF has said that his characters are exempt cause only their magic can take out their magic. Firstly I would like to ask if this has made it past the FAC. Secondly I would like to state that this device makes it so all magical manipulation of chi ceases to work. All of it. No exceptions.
Neither is half the things that are here. You guys just said we could have plasma weapons for crying out loud. Plasma can be way more powerful and abusive then this. I would say it was made by the Pheonix and left behind when they ascended. Ok, well then let's say it's made of a very very strong material. Like Steel. Yea, I can live with that.
It cannot work on Mammoth or Spider magic, I'm just saying. The only way you can counteract their own magic is with their own magic, and magic isn't exactly common, even then, Spelyne's the strongest (and Maulryene)
You can keep saying, but that isn't how this device works. All magic ceases to work. That is how the device works. You can't cast or practice magic with the device in play. I doesn't matter how strong the magic is or what kind of magic it is. Magic won't work near this device.
I'm telling you, using this 'Amber Amulet' won't work on a Spider Witch or a Mammoth Sorceress.

Science is much stronger than magic. Case closed. Good bye, i will see you to the door.

Should we outright ban this like Dark Chi? Becuase i like Dark Matter and Dark Energy better, and thats whats keeping the Black Overwatch powered up.

What's Dark Chi?
~~I totally would love to see contaminated Chi that's black and purple instead of blue and white~~

Nope
Also ALCHEMY is pretty much Science and Magic's child
I actually find this an interesting 'magic' power. I'm not sure on the 'mass destruction' part, seems it could be OP but it does have plenty of drawbacks.
However, something I really want to bring up, as the essential creator of the magic I think you're referring to.
--------
Her backstory says ever since a young age, she's been fascinated in magic. Not too absurd, given Chi's magical properties an what-not. However, explosion magic, or 'other' magic types don't exist in standard Chima as it is, at least not back around then, I assume. The strongest Spider Witch, Spelyne, learned her greatest magics from her psychic connection to the First Witch, Maulryene.
So, Maulryene was the first witch, alright, and the strongest around town. Skipping to her adulthood, Maulryene wrote down several of her magical studies in tomes to preserve. ALL of them were found by Spelyne, and promptly destroyed after she memorized them. That's how Spelyne got the connection. So, there's no real way for Alore to know about explosive magic, or 'other' types of magic.
I'm just worried about the way her backstory works then. If you want, I can totally come up with a better way for her to discover magic, or even something I was hoping to keep secret until the Sea Raider period, but it could be fun and it'd integrate them into the lore. I already have a rough draft constructed.
She is only 14 years old, there has been plenty of time for others to discover magic and use it. I don't really see what the problem is? Not to mention there are other magic users, so Spelyne and Maulryene are not the only ones out there.
No, there really hasn't.
The magic I'm talking about has been a closely guarded secret of the Spiders and Mammoths. The mammoths are all either cursed, or the magical ones imprisoned in ice blocks. All Spider Mages serve Spelyne, so I would KNOW if there was another one. They are the only real magical users, besides the Phoenix.

Chi is the only fuel source, everything else is banned.
And yet I'm seeing words like "powerful" being used to describe those with said magic. What's the point of such claims if you won't even let them have something as basic as conjuration? Especially limited conjuration that involves nothing bigger than 6 feet? Like what are you even worried about.
Looks like the proton bombs I'm talking about are stuck in moderation on the previous page and are only visible on mobile, which I didn't notice here on my laptop. I'm sure you wouldn't stand for them if you knew about them.
If conjuration is too much, then I'll settle for summoning from a personal armory. The weapons still must appear out of nowhere in his hands. Regardless, I don't see the issue with the conjuration, and you're the first person in years to have an outspoken problem with it. Call me spoiled, but I want a solid reason as to why you won't approve it.
I won't approve it because it doesn't fit with what we've seen in Chima canon. The magic we have approved is just a way to manipulate the power of Chi without using a blaster or other device. It's the sort of thing that one could see in canon Chima without any major changes to the world. Conjuration is wildly different from that.
You know what else doesn't fit with what we've seen in Chima canon? A giant missile being launch at MACH 2 with the power to destroy an entire island without even hitting it directly. Plasma weaponry of all things, which while you may not like it (at this time, since you implied it'll be fine after the fire vs ice plot thing you're bent on), the RP Rep himself is totally okay with it. Even so-called Chi magic isn't as believable as you say it is, considering we've only ever seen it manipulate its users itself, and have never seen it being manipulated by the users.
Furthermore, it's not necessarily supposed to fit in with Chima canon anyway. As discussed in his profile, the magic armor was left for him by an otherworldly entity, so it's already originally intended to be unlike anything else in Chima. I was originally gonna leave Jai without the armor, but then I realized he's going to need it to survive in this crazy world.
Can we have a little bit of consistency around here, please?
This is blocked, we did not see it, I use my Veto power to block it, many mods someimtes even block such suggestions. All WMD's across all RP's are banned, this is not something we can debate.
I am giving this a 2nd thought, how powerful are the explosions? also: FelipeDutraShamrock
They would be pretty big, but it's not going to be wiping out entire armies, fleets, and definitely not large cities in one shot. For example it'd be able to take sink a single cruiser in a fleet by putting a big hole in it or splitting it, but the entire cruiser wouldn't be completely incinerated, and the rest of the fleet would still be fine. If it were to be some smaller patrol boats then they might all be incinerated, assuming they weren't spread out a whole lot.

And yet the manipulation of Chi to form "magic" is totally okay. Mother of Primus...

Well other people have learned magic regardless of whether they’re mammoth or spider, so I’m just gonna go with what I have.
