OOC: K. Very well. They cannot fully level it, no. They can, however, destroy all major structures, so that the elves are constantly breaking cover. I also stated that orcs were collecting rubble from the levelled area for use as ammunition ages ago, which would result in a lot less cover for the elves, and mean that they would be unlikely to get close to the war engines unnoticed.
OOC: I'll concede that. But so far my elves have not entered the area that has been hit, so that isn't a problem. Now I'm not exactly sure who's turn it is. Your moves are nulled, and currently your troops have no idea my troops are even in the city.
OOC: K. *Drums fingers on table and waits for troops to enter the expanding levelled area.*

OOC: Do incorporeal Maiar trapped in spirit form have fingers? Or tables?
OOC: Do incorporeal Maiar trapped in spirit form have fingers? Or tables?
OOC: Sauron had a physical form. He had four fingers. Gollum said so.
How can one plot to take over Middle-earth without a good mahogany desk?
OOC: Wouldn't he have 9 fingers? No. Thankfully, Gondor has no shortage of good mahogany. There's also this nice oak desk in my war room, you should come over and try it sometime.
*Unknown to the enemy, five more elven trebuchets enter the city and join the others.*
*At night, the small force mentioned earlier moves out stealthily, moving northeast along the outskirts of the damaged area. Any possible orc sentries are quietly taken out.*

*The sentries see the enemy coming, and raise the alarm quickly.*
OOC: Orcs are nocturnal. Attacking me at night is like attacking men in broad daylight; there's no way the orcs wouldn't see you coming.

OOC: I was fully aware you'd try something like this. The problem is, Kirkwood elves have eyesight even better than an orc's, and they are extremely skilled at stealth. I haven't entered the levelled zone, either, so there is no way they would know. Your sentries are only so good, and they've met their match.

OOC: You're the one that's trying stuff. Would you expect your elves to be able to approach a human army unnoticed, taking out sentries, in broad daylight?

OOC: Orcs are also stupid and wouldn't know it was an elf if they saw him until it was too late.
I'd like to claim the same for my Ithilien Rangers, who have been fighting Orcs successfully for years. They, coincidentally, also have great eyesight and are probably the stealthiest humans in the established canon.

OOC: Not only that, but all orcs are skilled in self themselves, having to hide away from the rest of the world for years. Remember, Balin said from that cave that orcs could sneak up behind them in their sleep and slit their throats. Meaning that Orcs know how to be stealthy. And it's much easier to see stealthy than it is to be stealthy.
His sentries have met their match, yes. but his sentries are doing the easier job.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

*At the same time, the Ithilien Rangers move from the opposite direction and begin firing on the sentries. They approach from the side to avoid the leveled zone and use buildings for cover. A few are positioned atop the ruined buildings, where they can rain their arrows on the Orcs from above.*

I doubt that they're the stealthiest. The men of Numenor are widely accredited to be the best at everything. I'm pretty sure they'd have been stealthier.

OOC: The men of Harad, Rhun and Khand serve the Eye. What if they alerted the guards and shot the Haradrim commander in the city, making victory impossible because their greatest strategist was smashed?
Those men aren't around anymore. Although, the Dunedain are probably stealthier.
The War Engines are swift to come into action, bringing buildings around the levelled area crashing down. All sighted enemies are swiftly turned into pincushions by Orc Archers.
