Orcish cries are heard by the Gondorians. They only recognise one word: "Halberdiers!"
The surviving Orc Halberdiers solidify their ranks, and advance into the undefended east flank of the Gondorian army. 500 Axeguards of Mordor leave the ring of rubble and follow, with the Orc Swordsmen hot on their heels. The Orc Archers and surviving siege engines release a volley, striking the easternmost Gondorians, and exposing them even more.
As they advance, they are hit by the melee troops that attacked the Haradrim earlier. The Rangers of Ithilien quickly move back towards the east and take up positions in secluded areas that the Orcs cannot see, and begin firing on the Axeguards. The ballistae are moved forward, and they release a volley into the swordsmen. After this volley they pull back. The Scorpions are repositioned to provide heavy suppressing fire.
The Halberdiers fell many Gondorians with their halberds. The effect of the Rangers is very small, as most of them have been slain by Orc Archers (some in their attack weeks ago, some at the start of your attack, and most while they were moving to engage the Haradrim. The Axeguards charge into enemy ranks, felling many Gondorians. The Swordsmen swiftly swarm around half of the ballistae, smashing their crews. As Scorpions are a stationary weapon, and are very difficult to move, they cannot be moved into new positions with any great haste.

As soon as the Gondorians shift position, the Haradrim Infantry launches a resurgent thrust on the south flank of the Gondorian lines. The scorpions are rendered useless, as they are only a lateral weapon, and the flat and ruined terrain of Osgiliath means they have no way of finding the enemy. Pikemen lower pikes, and Reavers follow close behind ready to cast their remaining javelins.
The mobile infantry and archers in the north also dismount their camels, and begin an attack on the Gondorian North flank with archers sending volleys ahead of advancing warriors.
Onagers are moved closer following the orc attack, and begin attacking the gondorian lines.
The Gondorians in the south flank move back towards the archers in the center.
The mobile infantry and archers meet a small contingent of Osgiliath Guards. These spearmen bear themselves in a far nobler and stronger way when compared to their brethren, the pikemen. A charge against them would be suicide. Behind them, almost 2,000 Gondorian archers stand. Some are firing at other targets, but quite a few are ready to attack the Haradrim. These archers begin firing at the lightly armored Haradrim archers. The spearmen hold their ground and form a shield wall.
The Gondorian trebuchets shift their focus onto the Haradrim siege equipment.
The Gondorian Mangonels move forward and begin firing many small (8 pounds bowling ball size) pieces of rubble into the Haradrim lines. Each catapult fires at least 5 at once, and there are 37. Over 170 rocks smash into the rear of the Haradrim, taking out many of the Reavers.
The onagers fire on the advancing Orcs.
The Dwarves move towards the Gondorian siege equipment, setting up their weapons and preparing for battle.

The Axemen lop the heads off of the halberds before cleaving the Orc on the other end in half. The superior armor, weapons, and skill of the Axemen give them an advantage over the poorly armored and rather stupid Orcs.
The Rangers still have close to their full number because they aren't easy to hit, especially for an archer as bad as an Orc.
The Axeguards charge into a spear wall made by the Osgiliath Guards and are smashed on impact.
The Swordsmen can't charge all the way across the battlefield without running into several thousand Gondorians and Dwarves who would engage them.
The Scorpions are carried into the central army, where they are lined up behind the Osgiliath Guards and the Gondorian Pikemen.
The Pikemen in a Phalanx move towards the west flank of the archers and form a line.
The Gondorian Ballistae open fire on the units as they move until they meet with Gondorian forces who quickly engage them.
A few Gondorian mangonels fire larger rocks at the Orcs as well.

The gondorian forces are now beset on three sides by enemies, north by the mobile forces, south by the main Haradrim force, and east by the Mordor host. The entire army will no doubt buckle in the flanking maneuver, and be forced westward towards the edge of the city.
OOC: I'm not actually sure as to what your Gondorian army is made up of
IC: The mobile forces stay a distance back, and send volley after volley into the lines of Osgiliath guards. They likely do not cause many casualties, but certainly cause them to draw back towards the main body of Gondorian troops.
The Haradrim line slams into the southern flank of the gondorians, causing the mangonels to often fall short and hit their own forces, or go too far and hit nothing but the pavement.
The Haradrim Onagers continue hammering the east flank of the gondorians, allowing trebuchets to keep firing, missing more than not over the great range between them.
The Reserves now march westward to the edge of the city

OOC: My army list was posted earlier in this forum.
The Gondorian forces that are not in direct combat form up into a loose square and slowly march towards the Dwarven lines. The Scorpions are moved with them.
The Mangonels cease fire once the Haradrim engage the Gondorian forces.
The Gondorian onagers trade a few shots with the Haradrim onagers before falling back behind the Dwarves.
The trebuchets continue to hammer anything in range. A few of them try to hit the stationary mobile troops.
MarshalCody , I'm afraid all of your moves here are nulled. MLB never moved the Haradrim over to the western part of the city, where the combat is. You'll have to make transports for your troops and siege engines before you can engage in combat. As it is, LB is only fighting Shamrock's orcs.
With this change in mind, Shamrock , could you update the map on the current battle? I'd like to know where I'm sending my troops before doing so.

The halberds are used to lop axeheads of. The sticks the front rank of left with are used to hold back the axemen and distract them while the next rank fell them.
OOC: When did Tolkien ever say they were bad archers? The first orcs were some king of mutated elf, and I have never seen anything that suggests some elven attributes didn't carry over. Also, the Rangers just strolled across the battlefield before. They were easy targets. Any fool could have smashed one.
The Gondorians have little time to form an effective wall. The Axeguards are not fools, and don't run into the pikes. They hack at them with axes, smashing the Osgiliath Guards when their pikes fall.
You implied that the ballistae were pulled up close.
The Orc Archers and war engines release another volley, targeting the rear ranks of the Osgiliath Guards.

If Cody's moves are nulled, it's the same as it was. In order for me to have performed a flank attack, LB has to have diverted his forces. No Haradrim = No diversion = No flank attack.

The axemen and halberdiers both try to lop the heads off of the other's weapon, and neither of them accomplish very much. The axemen are not distracted, they simply chop through the stick again and smash the Orc on the other end. Once the first rank is down, the next rank is attacked.
OOC: The fact that it is almost surely daytime and the fact that Orcs, due to their size (smaller than a human or elf) cannot use a powerful bow with the same skill as an elf or human. Also, TG says that Orcs used steel bows, which would be even more difficult to carry and/or use. You can have the annoyingly heavy steel bows or the shoddy Orc bows of the movies.
The Rangers were running from heap of rubble to heap of rubble as before, not out in the open.
I did?
IC: The Osgiliath guards bash the Orcs with their shields after their halberd falls. The Orc, having offset his balance in the swing, is easily pushed off balance and run through or beheaded by another guard's halberd.
The Gondorian and Dwarven siege engines answer with a volley of their own.

So in other words we're back to the beginning. Your orcs are building a barricade, being smashed by the 50 boulders flung upon them, and the Gondorians are advancing behind barricades towards your forces. That's where we are? Except now the Gondorians have come close to your troops.

Oh good, my pikemen are still alive. And I'm not retreating because I'm not surrounded. I need a minute to sort this out.

MLB said he had troops in Osgiliath, I'm not sure what purpose they would have on the eastern side...
Regardless, I'd like to take all the days spent battling here into the creation of two wooden bridges spanning the Anduin. That seems the most fair considering how many days I lost on a false pretense

At the time he had them here you had not yet reached the western side. He left before Sham made it there.
I don't think two wooden bridges are feasible. First off, the river is around two miles wide, and then you don't have the resources to make such large bridges here. Transports make more sense, but good luck making ones for the Mumakils.
