Osgiliath was the old capital city of Gondor. The city straddled the Anduin River at a point approximately half way between the cities of Minas Anor to the southwest and Minas Ithil to the northeast, and north of the nearby Emyn Arnen.
In the Great Hall of the city the thrones of the sons of Elendil were set side by side. In its days of glory, the city featured quays to handle sea-going vessels that came up from the sea, a great stone bridge supporting houses and towers of stone, and the Dome of Stars, which housed the Osgiliath-stone, the greatest of the seven Palantíri.
By the Third Age, Osgiliath was in ruins. The bridge was broken, the Osgiliath-Stone shattered; the Dome of Stars rent apart. It was greatly contested, as before the bridge fell, it was the largest crossing point for the Great River Anduin.
It provides 1, 000 MWE and 100 MWE to the HQ that claims it.
3,000 men of Gondor enter the ruins of this once-glorious city and begin fortifying it for war. Workers are recruited from the surrounding lands, and a wall begins to emerge from the ground.

{JAMMERS! -GOOD- ONLY!} For your earlier question, yes. It should actually grant 200 NWE, because it's a port. I know you probably already know this, but I'm going to say it again anyways. You want to have the strongest defense here that you can manage. Give the enemy the eastern side of the city if you must, but don't let them cross the Anduin under any circumstances.
They are met with a hail of arrows from a thousand bows. The barrage continues as the Gondorians send an alarm back to Minas Tirith.
OOC: I have 1,000 Gondorian Archers as part of my force, so it is a legal move.
OOC: I'm not sure if the river is narrow enough for arrows. KitKat do you think it's possible?
I'm not KitKat , but I would say yes, although only the edges of the river could be hit by arrows, and since it doesn't seem that your forces are at the edge of the East side, I would say no casualties, or very few. Even if it is narrow enough to hit further into the city, there are going to be a lot of buildings, and destroyed or not, there are going to be plenty of remnants of walls to block the arrows or hide your troops from view.
I may be horribly wrong, but meh
One mod to rule them all and in the darkness ban them - Lord of the Mods "I am the Mod Reborn!" - masterlegobuilders I'm the real boss

This seems right. Naturally I'm not building a wall three metres from the water, but where the bank ahs risen a bit and the cirt proper starts again.

OOC: I think it would be possible because crossing the river on rafts is viable. It can't be much more than 200-300 meters, a range at which Gondorian longbows are probably effective.

A raft can be used to cross virtually any relatively calm (qt the surface) body of water. As far as I can tell, based upon maps and looking at a few real rivers of similar lengths, the Anduin is about two miles wide.
