When Kratark attempts to read Ornirax's mind, he finds literally nothing. His probes are violently repelled by something.... or someone. It's not a Makuta; none of that race naturally possess this level of shielding. But if it is given to them by an outside source, it can be quite effective.
OOC: This shielding is temporary and is from an canon outside source.
But it appears that Kratark chose correctly after all. The other fifteen Orniraxes vanish, and this one steps forward.
"Just get on with it," he says. "But before you do, know this: you fought well. You have surpassed my expectations and then some. Now do what you have promised, and make sure you don't miss." He makes no move to resist.
The punch connects, and Ornirax's armor crumbles into dust. The last thing Kratark sees on his face is a wry smile and his unmistakable confident expression. His antidermis dispels almost instantly. An eerie silence fills the courtyard, or at least what remains of it.
OOC: Please elaborate
Kratark snaps his fingers. Crystalia and Vindurax vanish. Before the antidermis can vanish, Kratark lights up the entire room with plasma. He then attempts to sense Ornirax, somewhere, anywhere, looking for his mind, wherever it may be, if not here. If he finds it, he snarls, and punches the nearby wall.
If he does not find Ornirax, he assumes he is victorious.
In any case, Kratark quickly teleports upstairs to shadow bolt the Toa that was threatening to nova blast, annihilating him on the spot.
With this, Kratark disintegrated the entirety of Ornirax's base.
He was right about one thing... and he shall correct it post haste.
Kratark reached out with his vision once again, peeking through all the nooks and crannies of Zakaz. He found a promising fortress, filled with Skakdi. This, he could use...

Zakaz will need a Makuta.
Crystalia is teleported out, against her will.
Rude.
There is a Nova Blast that would have smashed her if she wasn't removed from Zakaz.

Would you rather she'd of been caught in the plasma blast?
I was actually thinking about having Kratark just incinerate Crystalia on the spot like that, but opted for what would get her out of here the fastest way possible

OOC: Toa of Psionics.
Before Kratark can do anything anything about it, the Fire Toa performs a Nova Blast. If he were to think about it, you might say that he heard something, right before the blast. It's a familiar sound to most beings, but some, like Kratark, hate it. Maybe, just maybe, he heard.... laughter?
At any rate, there are more pressing issues at hand, like the oncoming wave of death that will be here in around.... NOW.
Kratark uses his limited invulnerability to survive long enough to teleport off of Zakaz.
The entirety of Zakaz is likely wiped out. A select few but relatively large number of Skakdi within Vazrudakann's fortress that had managed to get underground survive. Hopefully Vazrudakann will be able to focus on building up a vengeful attitude in his people

The safest place Kratark could think of -- Destral

*Fortunately, Kuhtak had arrived far enough away from the fortress that he was able to teleport off of Zakaz in time.*

To any who witnessed, it would seem as if Corathe's fortress was destroyed, yet one should not trust your sight.
A portal opens up in front of the Maelstrom Trinity and the Divine Trio, sparing them from the nova blast.
Would you rather she'd of been caught in the plasma blast?

*facepalm*
In hindsight, I blame myself.
The Rude comment was actually what Crystalia was thinking, because she was unaware of the nova blast.
Once the nova blast had subsided, Kratark returned to Zakaz to observe the destruction that had been caused.
"Scumbag of a Toa actually did it... I almost don't believe it."
He paused for a moment. All Plantlife within hundreds of kios around had been incinerated. If there were any Rahi in this field -- they had been evaporated, for not even bone remained.
A towering fortress in the distance yet stood, however. It was a depressing sculpture of partially melted stone and brick, it had been built so thickly that it had retained some of its shape, but otherwise, it was a disgustingly deformed shadow of its former self. Any other being probably would have thought nothing of the structure, Kratark didn't.
When you are as intimate with shadow as kratark is, you learn one core truth: anything can hide in the darkness. It is simply a matter of finding it. The darkness, that is.
Kratark does not see a fortress -- he sees an opportunity to look through the darkness -- to find the shadows within, and to find who or what might be hiding in them, if anyone.
He reached out -- transferring his vision to the shadows themselves. It was a talent that came very naturally to him, it was ingrained in his persona from the moment of his birth. He searched, and searched. He saw nothing but empty blackness, until... yes. A disgusting set of teeth was visible before Kratark's gaze -- Skakdi teeth.
Indeed, not very deep underground was a large cavern -- it was not natural, however, it was dug out by something or somebody.
More likely, somebody.
If there were any survivors, they were inside this cavern.
"Well then, Ornirax, it seems I am going to be your replacement after all. Let's see if I can't fix your filthy mess."
The Makuta's form began to dissipate into smoke, seeping into the ground in a writhing mass of receding shadows. Finally, it was gone, and no trace of Kratark's presence was left.
For the first time since his meeting with Corathe, Vazrudakann was worried.
Genuinely worried.
The Skakdi under him were also worried. They were just growing to trust Vazrudakann, not just fear him. It seems any hopes of a Skakdi utopia would have to be put on hold for the moment, his people have been forced under ground, and they're not sure if there is anything left for them up above.
Vazrudakann had to think carefully about how to approach this situation. Worst comes to worst -- he could simply use his pain vision to quell another would-be rebellion. However, his desire for order outweighs his sadism. Causing suffering was fun and all, but it was a hobby... an enjoyable means to an end. No, for true order to be brought about, Vazrudakann must be charismatic -- someone you would willingly follow.
In the midst of his thoughts, the cavern grew darker, darker than normal. Any torches they had managed to light seemed to no longer have any effect. The most surprising thing, however, were the two bright purple triangles that were floating in the air, seemingly staring at Vazrudakann.
And they were.
A voice spoke, and the form to which the purple triangles belonged materialized. The torches in the cavern regained their former strength, revealing the hulking form of Kratark.
"Nice entrance." commented Vazrudakann half-heartedly. To him, this was just another Makuta, a dime a dozen.
"You are Vazrudakann, I take it. I should inform you that Ornirax is dead."
"A pity, that. He was very easy to manipulate."
"I am the one who destroyed him."
"Good for you."
"You will obey me as you did him."
"I don't see any reason not to -- especially given you were able to do him in."
"...You are, disturbingly, wiser, than any Skakdi I've seen."
"Indeed."
"So then you have no questions? It is not every day a Makuta gets replaced."
"Just one:"
Kratark said nothing.
"What the Karz happened up there?"
"In his madness, Ornirax destroyed Zakaz. The Toa that performed the nova blast is gone, so you probably won't have to worry about it. But your island is a wreck. Every living thing on the surface has evaporated. If you have questions, though I doubt the answers would be fruitful, you can visit the place where Ornirax's outpost once stood."
Just as quickly as he had appeared, Kratark vanished. The Skakdi were on their own, once again.

OOC: Why was Vazrudakann worried when meeting Corathe?
I also very much like this post. Vazrudakann is actually thinking things out. He knows that there's a possibility of an uprising, and he knows that fear doesn't last forever: But if they are truly loyal, that will. Also, the 'you are disturbingly, wiser, than any Skakdi I've seen." "Indeed." part made me bust out laughing. Really like this post

OOC: Because she's a warlord with a massive fanon army and he wasn't sure his army of regular, fair, canon Skakdi wouldn't be able to compete Also because she seemed ready to go to war regardless of any offer he made.
My only concern is how sane I allow him to be at any given moment (mostly due to whiplash from you wanting to have Corathe use Kanohi ) I think it is important to highlight the fact that even though Vazrudakann can put on a smile and fake some charm, he cannot stand disorder, and would go ballistic the moment things didn't go his way, especially after how well things have been going for him so far. To Vazrudakann, losing his kingdom would be a fate worse than being confronted by Irnakk.
He is insane. He is undisciplined. He just has different triggers for his bellicose nature.
Kratark trudged up the blackened, charred landscape, taking in the scenery. If it were an island of his own design, he would revel in such majestic darkness. As it is, however, this is somebody else's home, somebody else's domain, and for the beings that do call this miserable rock home -- they can no longer live off of this place.
Lightning struck.
"It's not your fault, you know. Not even I would have been able to kill that Toa fast enough. I know what you are feeling -- I have instilled within you the same approach to split-decisions that I possess. Sometimes, though, things happen too quickly. I want you to know, however, that you made the right decision."
The Makuta stood in the field with his arms-crossed, his piercing violet gaze staring upon the site where Ornirax's outpost once stood.
"Ugh, I don't even know if the fool is really dead or not. You and I know better than anyone that killing a Makuta that is determined to survive is no simple feat."
"If he rears his head again, I know you will annihilate him all the same -- you possess a power beyond that of your peers. The Queue of Em resides within you... which, admittedly, doesn't really mean anything, but is a nice thought nonetheless."
"I know why you are here, creator."
Emarcee smiled from behind his helm. Which is to say he did not outwardly smile, it was a hidden smile, one that could not be seen, but you could tell it was there. The Great Being snapped his fingers, and whisps of blue energy began to form around the area. Kratark in turn outstretched his hand, violent clouds of smoke mingling with Emarcee's energies. They swirled, mingled, and clashed, until finally, they had found a special harmony that one could tell would be impossible under normal circumstances. Suddenly, a black fortress had begun to take place, Emarcee creating it, and Kratark shaping it with shadow. Creation and shadow have been fused into a single energy, allowing the Makuta to create for himself a mighty citadel for himself and him alone. Before the building two braziers seemingly carved from obsidian were materialized, and suddenly lit with a purple flame that was as eerie as it was inexplicable. Once the structure was finished, both beings instinctively turned their attention to the right of the fortress -- they had only finished the first part of this masterpiece.
