In the confusion, kllyann did not post Makuta Umbraia does not halt her fist.
Magzus being a Toa/Makuta hybrid. Uses one of his newfound 8 powers of teleportation. He teleports in front of Kuhtak and uses his Hau to block the attack.
Inches from Magzus' kanohi, Makuta Umbraia's cruel fist bounces off of his shield.
Now in close proximity to the mask, Magzus becomes just as terribly confused as the makuta.

It isn't completely logical, but Magzus is now another one of Makuta Umbraia's enemies. She draws upon her pain, confusion, and fear. She funnels all her her suffering into one potent tool; Rage empowers her, numbs her senses, and makes her choices clear.
Throwing wicking ball after wrecking ball of her fists will soon collapse this invisible barrier.

*Kuhtak has aimlessly wandered off without the other two noticing, and neither of them will probably notice as long as they are so focused on each other.*

Makuta Umbraia rewrites herself once Kuhtak is gone. No longer is she subject to her own inverted mind. Upon recollection, she bellows out a cry of anguish and rage. Her silence had been broken. From the moment she crawled out of the antidermis pool, she had never spoken a word, and now... she is a fool, like any other makuta. She will have to own her mistake. She is going to create for herself a new world in which to torture lesser lives.
"Mnemosyne. Shield my thoughts, I'll make sure he doesn't karz up your island."
Perfect. Those words are ironic, yet assertive and just. Her new field of superiority is going to paraded up and down Destral's roads with glorious darkness.
"Toa, that traitor has vowed against the lives of innocent matoran. Let me do what I've come for, or I'll consider you an enemy of the Brotherhood as well."

Mnemosyne's eyes flash in warning, as she suddenly appears in front of Umbraia. Her eyes narrow, and her hand clutches her parasol, which is unfolded and resting on her shoulder. "Did you just attempt to order me around? I am a goddess, Makuta. I predate you. I predate this pathetic universe. I know secrets that would shatter your mind." She sneers out.
Mnemosyne probes her mind gently. "Your Brotherhood... Blindless followers of Thaqiba.." She smiles though, sensing another thing in Umbraia. "I am going to tell you something, young one.. I am not your friend. I am not the friend of your Brotherhood. I am not your enemy. I am not your Brotherhood's enemy. Do not make me one." She places a Level IX, a level 9 mental shield. Not even a Level X Psychic could pierce them, not easily. She places yet another thing, a ward.
If anyone attempts to pierce it, Mnemosyne will know.
She grins. "Go Umbraia, and destroy the traitors."

She had expected this much. Still, there isn't a chance in... --well, they're actually here-- she isn't going to give up her pride by scrapping knees toward some ruler of a foreign dome. Command or request, what is the difference when both can get you want you want? "I am grateful, lady Mnemosyne. May our relations be everything but cruel."
Makuta Umbraia teleports to the top of the next rise and spots Kuhtak's unordered tracks.

Her mid-teleport to the next mountain is brought to a crawl, a split second becoming four. Once she makes it to the other side, the makuta spins on her heel and vanishes again, this time materializing right behind Magzus. Her left claw surrounds his head like a cage. If she were to just close her hand, no Red Star for the Toa. "You've got talent, toa, I'll give you that." Makuta Umbraia whips her claw back to her side, leaving the slightest of scratches on the top of Magzus' kanohi. "Actually, it's kind of cute. It will be a shame to put an end to such a show." Something is off, for not all five of the Toa's senses agree that the Makuta is truly there.
