Who's to say they need to all be special snowflakes? They aren't. That's a very childish and asinine way of thinking. Such thinking also is contradictory. You were against Makuta Special Powers, because it wasn't "canon"
It was never canon that Vortixx were discourged from it. Canon Vortixx were just too prideful as inviduals. Fanon Vortixx have no such restrictions. Note, how in canon, masks and elemental powers were scarcely used.
There's also the motivation to wear these masks to consider. This Xia doesn't have a man-eating mountain on it. And the MU is in a peaceful state, despite their weapons manufacturing.
So does that mean Corvus can't have the Hau or no? Because there is motivation to wield it.

I'm not going to disallow it. But I really would prefer if such a thing were to happen more... organically.

Alright, well I appreciate that and will do for the future. And about the rules, the help topic doesn't really contain anything about rules. It seems to mainly just be a reference guide to the Bionicle universe basics for scrubs.

That it is -- I designed it thinking that listing every fact in the BIONICLE universe would be impracticle (which it is) and left it up to the users to do their own research on Vortixx and other things like that. And that's my bad -- I probably should have foreseen their popularity, and try to write something for them.

I feel that an official rules topic should be made as well. Since there currently isn't one, it could lead to dispute between users about what goes and what doesn't. And it would help to keep some character bios in line.

The help topic already mentions which Kanohi are banned, and the general idea I had for this roleplay was to give people the freedom to play as any species they want -- even the obscure ones.
The help topic serves to give a player a sense of what they're allowed to do -- a rules topic, would have to foresee everything that a user does that is wrong, and tell them ahead of time they can't do that.
Though I do suppose stuff like smashing within the first post -- no matter how obvious it may seem, should be formally listed as being disallowed...
I will propose such an addon to Keplers so that he can add it to the help topic. Thanks for the suggestion!

Name: Eviice Species: Skakdi Gender: Apache Attack Helicopter Male Powers: He has the power to manipulate Hau shields similar to hardlight, x-ray vision, and has a somewhat robotic exo-suit with built-in flight capabilities. He carries twin Midak Skyblasters, but can swap them out for Hau-shard gatling guns if the going gets rough. Backstory: While other Skakdi focused on brutal warmongering and fighting, Eviice simply found joy in inventing. Eventually, he got noticed by the OOMN for his achievements and inducted him. Now, he serves as both a medic and a scientist for the Order, though he's not afraid to fight if he needs to.
Great, someone else interested in a OOMN character!
Alias: Mistress of the Acid Falls, Queen of the Poison Swamps, Makuta of the Tren Krom Peninsula and Xia
Species: Makuta
Element: Shadow
Powers: Toxica has all standard Makuta powers. She is proficient in utilizing Accuracy, Dodge, Teleportation, Sleep, Confusion, Illusion and predominantly, Poison.
Kanohi: Toxica wears the Hau, Mask of Shielding, with her secondary kanohi being the Jutlin, Mask of Decomposition
Weapons/tools: Toxica uses a pair of swords, which are attached to her wrists. She also has guns, attached to her wrists, as well as a pair of shields. Fun little wrist-collars they are!
Appearance: Toxica is tall, roughly the same height as Axonn. She has a black and green, light/lime/acid green color scheme. Upon her back are three cannisters of toxic material, marked with the toxic sigil. She has tubes from these cannisters feeding into her guns, which shoot the toxins out. Said canisters regularly drip with vile poisons. Her kanohi all look like a Crast, except black and lime green. She has a snake tail, in place of legs.
Personality: Warrior. Toxica is cunning, sly, devious and manipulative. She can think of plans, but she's quick-tempered, impatient, impulsive and violent. She'd much rather be out on the frontlines of a battle, than sitting in a chamber making plans. She has a fondness for plague bearing rahi, as well as Visorak. She's not the most beloved of Makuta, and regularly disliked, but many do not directly oppose her. She also has no natural fear.
Special Power: Toxica's special ability is her control over toxins and poisons. Unfathomably powerful, Toxica can create/control/absorb poisons and chemicals with ease, due to it being her expertise.
Backstory: Rash, ignorant and volatile, Toxica was once a serpentine horror unlike any other Makuta known. Her very presence corroded the ground and caused it to decay, earning her the monikor "Toxica" by her "twin" of sorts, Jellica. Indeed, the twins were made far after the rest of the Makuta, pooling out of the Antidermis Pool, and horribly disfigured. Toxica went on to challenge many others, learning her passion for toxins, which was her inherent talent. She has, ever since, rose through the ranks of the Brotherhood, becoming a first choice for brawls. Her perhaps, greatest failure, was the attack on the Poison Swamps. Hearing rumors of a lost artifact, created by the Great Beings, hidden within the swamps, Toxica single-handedly brought down the large force of rahi and Toa present. Marching forward into the swamp, Toxica was attacked by a foe unlike any she had ever met, and was forced to rethink her tactics. Instead of charging in, Toxica sent in rahi waves, while preparing some of her more dangerous poisons, which, she fired in one single, toxic bullet. It hit the creature directly, killing it. Unopposed, Toxica went into the temple, only to find it having a useless pair of swords. She has used them ever since, not aware of their secret properties. After conquering said swamp, she stole the Heart of the Visorak, to summon the entire species. Alone. In a bloodlust, Toxica conquered the entire horde, making them her personal servants, to further the cause of the Brotherhood.

The canisters dripping negates their purpose, that being, protecting other beings from the toxins inside, and allowing them to be safely used only when needed.

I'm sorry, is that reason to deny it? Besides, Toxica's not so stupid to not take precautions, in case it did hit her. She doesn't know it's dripping, either.

That's besides the point. Inharax would have noticed had you mentioned it earlier -- and told Toxica to fix her canisters. Allowing corrosive material to drip on the floor is not the best way to stay on your boss's good side.

Toxica really doesn't care, and it doesn't matter if it drips or not. Please drop it, you are making a mountain out of flat ground.

You're making stuff up as you encounter the various moves that pose a threat to your character, and that is unfair to everyone else. Stick to a finalized profile, and only edit it in between battles, if at all.
